Thank you so much, Josh, for this video. I've been using the enhanced mode and best settings in VP19 - and it looked so good on the preview screen. But the rendering result using many render settings was dreadful. The same with 'save as image'. After watching your video, I changed the Colorization settings to Basic/Low and the preview display was improved (it got rid of a blotch) ... but the most important thing was that the render worked, displaying the image as per the preview window. Going for lower quality settings works ... who would have thunk!

Hi there! How are you? install Vegas 19 including the (VEGAS_Deep_Learning_Models) but that coloring effect is not coming! do you have the plugin to install it? what should i do, help me please
Is there any word for a new colorization update? Vegas 19 might be lagging behind De-"Oldify" for modeling (??)

the secret vegas is 32 bit (film range) but it's so high computer spec, how about editing 32 bit in vegas 19 it's more smooth
Hi, I got everything working fine but the colorization plug in won't show up. Any ideas? Do you know in which Vegas 19 folder should appear?
Interesting, whenever I install a new version, I always hold control+shift while double clicking the desktop icon and then deleting application data while resetting the program. Usually fixes all glitches.
@@ScrapyardFilms Thanks for the information. I've done that but didn't fix it. I removed everything and downloaded a fresh trial version from the USA site which included the AI modules. Same result: The "Colorization" plug in is missing.

Yep. It may not be perfect but it will color it!
@@ScrapyardFilms we've got "18" and its AI looked pretty primitive and ill defined - didn't know 19 was released so will give it a try . Is there a general procedure you would recommend to get decent results when colorizing a whole black and white film ?
I would split the clips at every single camera angle change. Let the AI color each individual camera angle as to not force it to calibrate multiple scenes and angles at the same time. This should give better results. Then if you're happy with each colored batch of clips, render them individually in a high quality profile until you have all your scenes/camera angles rendered. Then create a new project, add all the rendered scenes in there and render that out as one whole video.
@@karlsonkab51 did the colorization improve a lot in 19? Because vegas 18 sucked. I don't want to waste money on upgrading if it's still not good
@@iLLStaticProductionsBeats Did you ever try it? You're right, it was poor in Vegas 18 (idk if it's just me but nothing I did worked) and this guy is here with like perfect coloured images to point you can't even tell they were originally black and white. So it's either like a one in a million fluke and that specific frame happened to work out okay or Vegas 19/20 is like flawless
