Best driving tip is to just get out there and practice and learn. Learn the vehicle, how it drives and responds and what its current limits are, learn how to read tracks and predict what the vehicle will do when doing certain obstacles. The best tip is experience
Young Baily is a Paladin, to be sure. He took his lumps without a whine, and drove the most challenging rig of the bunch, with that trailer in tow. I know it was RnD for the trailer, but I think we will see that Ranger upgraded big time from his experiences on this trip. Well done everyone, that was some wonderful madness!
Driving tip: listen to your 4wd. If it doesn't feel like it usually does or makes a weird sound after a big flex or drop, take the time to source it out so that you don't end up penniless and a broken car. as well as this, if you don't feel confident with your own driving ability or skills for a new track or line, follow someone in who has done it before and learn from experience
Driving tip: One from a Kalahari farmer I knew -When driving on soft sand, when you brake to a stop a small mound of sand builds up in front of your tyres. When pulling off this creates extra resistance and may cause you to dig in. so reverse back a meter and pull off from there.
That is exactly how do we it here in the empty quarter desert, gravity is always your friend and enemy so when parked at an incline reverse as you cant climb from stop but if its down it helps with momentum just like a skate ring.

Get to know your vehicle, don’t fight the wheel or power through, keep a steady foot and air down, no need to bounce through or attack the climbs or water crossings (A local to CapeYork) 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼
Steak: The "dirty" steak, but instead of straight to the coals. Find a rock, leave it in the fire for a bit, cook steak on said rock when hot. Same taste as coals, but you don't eat a bunch of dirt :P
I remember on this trip the 80 got bogged trying to rescue the d-max........I'm happy to see a car passing gunshot without being towed or using a winch congrats guys
Cooking a steak: salt the steak with a piece of paper towel both sides of the steak, put on plate and then another plate ontop of the steak (just for a little weight on it). Leave until room temp. This will dry it out nicely. Salt and pepper LOTS. Bit of olive oil over it. Get your grill / plate hot (near smoking). On. Turn every 30 seconds. Shorter turns as the steak starts to get to the desired internal temp. This will enable an epic crust. Rest for 3-5mins. Destroy.
Perfect steak in my eyes is; a pan just about the temperature of the sun with a dash of olive oil, drop the steak in and sear on one side for 2 minutes, then flip sides for 3 minutes then turn down the heat to low/med and flip for a further cook of about 5-6 minutes then flip for another 4 cooking then turn off the head and ley sit for 5 minutes before transferring to a pre warmed plate! Comment what you think of this and how you cook your steak(: Edit; I forgot! A decent dose of pepper with a light dash of salt and cooked rare! C'mon, be a man champs!
That sounds thoroughly overcooked. It’s probably close to done by the second flip, although it’ll depend on the thickness of your steak. Otherwise pretty well what I do, although when I’m doing it in a pan I prefer to flip more often to avoid overheating the contact surfaces. A bit of blackening is good, but too much is too much.
@@gogmorgoaway I buy meat in bulk and process it myself and i usually cut my steaks about 2-3" thick so you get a nice sear on the outside to seal in the flavour but its also still very rare in the centre(:

Was a amazing trip 🙌
Driving tip: momentum an traction is key when 4wd most tracks
The first episode I ever watched was when Shaun whet and got the farm truck running and driving, instant fan here 👊🏻💪🏻
One of the best episodes. Thrilled, enjoyed, laughed out loud. So well done. Thanks guys and best of luck in your future endeavors.
Destroy.
Top 4x4ing rule: Keep the wheels in the dirt and the roof off of it.
Comment what you think of this and how you cook your steak(:
Edit; I forgot!
@@gogmorgoaway So overcooked that you might as well eat a bit of old shoe leather. Two minutes a side and you're done...
@@gogmorgoaway I buy meat in bulk and process it myself and i usually cut my steaks about 2-3" thick so you get a nice sear on the outside to seal in the flavour but its also still very rare in the centre(:

One of your finest videos I have ever seen. Scary crossings but romantic in the end. Well done guys.
What a video, loved watching that all the way here in Ireland. Amazing jourey lads, and that farm truck, what a machine 😃
80 series chassis, farm truck body, custom tray, dog box canopy. That would be sick. Nice video guys, keep them coming
Steak marinated in blended pineapple (including the skin) for a couple of hours & washed off with water before cooking med/rare with a single flip using the blood rule. Love your work boys.
wish we had old 4x4's like the 47 here in the little island of NL, canada. unfortunately the salt gets them here. love seeing the classic's being revived and used like the old days again. Good job bys! love the content as always.
28:15 "How ya feelin?"
