The game really does have a great atmosphere, and gives some real scares. But it definitely will feel a lot better played instead of watch. Nevertheless, we're working on the game movie right now, and should have it up later today. The story is mind bending, and does a great job of keeping us guessing. So did everyone see how Leslie was walking at the end? Throughout the game he walks twitchy and kind of bounces, but when Sebastian sees him for the last time, his walk is slow, hands at his sides. A lot like Ruvik's walk..
That means ruvik is still alive...and possibly that sebastian actually killed leslie by destroying ruvik's brain....thats fucked up.

The game may have been just a dream, but it did a great job doing so! It was quite obvious it wasn't real, and the fact that the entire game took place in the mind of a psychopath made it seem like the developers were trying to keep it as real as possible but also allowing it to be very surreal. Hell, I've played this game all the way through, and I still have no real idea what was going on! What matters to me is that it was very creative, scary, and I got a good story out of it. Also, you haven't played a game with a terrible dream ending and huge build up until you've played Hello Neighbor.

To all the idiots saying that it was lame for being in Ruvik's head. Did you never get why the images showed barbed wired brains? Or how it started in a mental institution? Or Ruvik's interest in psychology? Or how reality falls apart on such a large scale? It was obvious from the very beginning, but it doesn't take away from the horror aspect, it makes it worse, as you are walking through a tragic deranged psyche you cannot escape.

their is a theory on youtube that makes the most sense to me. Ruvik is after leslie the whole game for unknown reason. At the beginning of this video ruvik touches leslie and he dissapears. Could be that ruvik was after leslies body cuz his own body is gone and only his brain is left. So in the ending its not leslie walking away but Ruvik in leslies body. And the guy you fight at the end is leslie. Ruvik doesnt talk anymore after leslie dissapears. So it kinda makes sense!
They do mention that during experiments leslie's was the only brain to connect to Ruvik's so maybe Leslie's body was a conduit of some sort and that's really Ruvik controlling his body at the end. I wish the story was better paced and not so all over the place but it wasn't bad I like the ending. Now they are saying that Kidman's dlc will shed some light on some unanswered questions guess we will have to wait and see.
Kind of tripped up there, after the boss battle in the machine room, Ruvik appears and say "I created this world, you can't keep me here". The theory that Ruvik uses Leslie is disturbing but I thought maybe Leslie's powers or what not caused the fake world to break. It just seems stupid that Leslie would walk into the guy that could actually kill him.

Compared to the "Keeper" boss and the octopus plus having to fight two of the keeper, before you go face Ruvik, my character died soooooo many times; He smashed me one time with his hand during the part where you have to shoot the grenade/rocket launcher at his stomach? face? And that was that.. He is definitely the easiest boss in the game. The unlimited ammo in the car's machine gun made this fight a breeze. I truly do wish it could have been longer.m? 40 hours of survival horror with 22 chapters would have been awesome instead of 15 hours total with only 15 chapters. 1 chapter didn't even last an hour thought so I found that weird when I read that it's 15 hours to complete. Well I am still a satisfied customer and I definitely will be playing it again. Survival horrors are the only type of game I would play more than once.:-) Anyways, hope everyone enjoyed. It's one off the best games so far plus it went gold way before release!! I can't wait for the extra gameplay to released via the season pass. Hope it won't take 6 months.v
The problem with the boss fight is that the rockets can often go through Ruvik. You can actually see the rocket smoke trail go through him and it doesn't detect a hit, even if you're dead on. I'm not the only person who had trouble with that. Everything else was extremely easy.
Come on, 15 hours are actually very long, it's 14 hours of non-stoping gameplay, 15 chapters are more than sufficient
i finished the game in 32 hours. i only died two times at the Ruvik fight. that's terrible. it felt rushed, like if the devs loose their creativity for the last chapter

It was all in his mind.. Which saddens me because that's just a terrible way to end a horror game. "oh it's inception meets matrix where you only see people who are jacked in and the monsters are your inner demons as projections." It had such promise, I was really hoping that throughout the game you'd progressively go more crazy and eventually turn evil and be killed by another protagonist or something less expected as a plot twist. Now, the gameplay is fucking FABULOUS! You feel terrified throughout the whole thing. Which is why i'm so upset at the ending.

Sebastian getting impaled is legit, one of my favorite scenes in this game and overall in gaming. It's just so fucking visceral, even the music exemplifies it so well. It's just so well made!

This Rivik guy has been unstoppable through out the whole game, your only chance of surviving being to run from him, he can just appear in front of you and kill you but yet at the end when he fights you he decides to sit in what ever that is he is sitting in????????????........... ...You really need to see the full video again x'D.... It was all in Ruvik's mind, all that happened in the game... In the video, we can see Sebastian in a bathtub when he's before the freaking big brain. Below the glass floor, the characters are all "asleep" in bathtubs, connected to Ruvik's brain. When he ends Ruvik, there's a scene; 7:24 of Seb waking up in the bathtub... Go play the game or watch the full game to understand.
The whole thing took place as a dream in the mind. What Sebastian saw wasn't necessarily what Ruvik was experiencing from his point of view. The whole battle was simply how Sebastian's mind interpreted the battle of wills between himself and Ruvik. An true psychic battle of wills can't truly be depicted visually because it would be entirely thought based, so usually a more physical battle is used to represent it because that's the best the human imagination can do.

Honestly, I suspected that the game takes place inside a simulation or a dream world from the beginning. Ruvik being a reality-warper and basically a planet buster gave it away. Like, it would take the entire Justice League to defeat him. He was totally broken. These kinds of characters or stories simply aren't Shinji Mikami's style. Also, this was labelled as a horror game, and not a superhero game. It was so obvious that the world Sebastian found himself in was fake.
On the boss ending it easy to kill the boss u just need frost bolts and hit him.

The final boss.... again... they fuck up the most important part of the whole damn game. The conclusion. Everything was great up till that point. But the boss? Ok... here's how a boss SHOULD be. A final confrontation that requires all that you know from the game up till now to survive against a monster/creature/villain that has you outclassed in every way. Yet through just by the skin of your teeth, you defeat the monstrosity. It was a struggle, but you finally beat it.
QUIT WITH THE FUCKING TURRET BOSSES! It was stupid at the end of Gears of War 2, and they learned their lesson with the boss in the 3rd game! Turret bosses aren't a challenge! It doesn't matter how big the monster is if I got unlimited Gatling gun ammo or rocket launchers! It just robs the player of ANY feeling of accomplishment. Hell, the Resident Evil 6 final boss was freaking epic! Final boss in Bayonette? Pure genius! Ninja Gaiden Black? Awesome! Modern games can make good final boss battles! It's not so damn hard! It's basic game design people, comon! Whoever suggested a turret boss needs to be bitch slapped and fired immediately.

meh i don't know, i like the boss the way it is. The game is already a pain in the ass i think that is a gift of the creators to give us an easy boss. But i dont enjoy games like dark souls or those games that are super hard just for the sake of being hard. But that's my opinion.

bisys2 Your right, that did come off a bit harsh. Let me reiterate. The term 'Survival Horror' implies it's going to be a struggle, that this in fact won't (or at least shouldn't) be easy. Also Dark Souls is in fact super freaking hard... and that's why you feel so much more boss after you beat it. It's not hard for just being hard. It's more like an arcade game in the difficulty. First time, you might spend 50 quarters trying to beat it. But after doing so, you find yourself only needing to shell out a dollar once you learned the mechanics. Though they should make a way to customize the controls. R for attack is just weird...
