The keeper is really scary, I agree. However, the Spider lady creeps the hell out of us. One single mistake and you're dead. Not to mention the horror environment created by the fear and her screaming
Fighting Laura was probably the most stressed I've ever been in a video game
Max out your harpoons for fire damage, Laura is a cakewalk after that

It's not that hard, the most difficult are Quell and the two keeper at the end.

No one can fight so many evil and creepy bosses like Sebastian Castellanos did alone, believe me the real Evil Within isn't Ruvik, he is Sebastian himself.
That just means he is strong with indomitable willpower and mentality. Like Isaac Clarke from dead space

Those are always built with Plot armor for the player to progress and enjoy
Like in a regular matter Sébastien will be dead since the begin of chapters as him being inside the mind of a clever antagonist fill with monsters that could literally stomp the detective with ease
ruvik will have already figured how to murder a bland and boring character like Sébastien just like the events that happened to all of the victims that died in the beacon
It's just like the doomslayer all over again

Ardius that’s why I miss the first game the weapons the design of the characters especially Sebastian is just so much better than the second one, plus it keeps the action and is also scary and the environment is amazing it’s just my opinion the second one is kinda a hit or miss

this was actually an amazing horror game. Almost skipped it with the sluggish story at the beginning but stuck with it and looking back on it this was a great game.
i rage quit at the barn coz that enemy at the top firing us and i had no ammo. but somehow made it and then loved more from there on.
I did it on Akumu, but the arena fights were absutly shit

For reference, that green gel pot can't be grabbed again. And another thing, you don't really make up that green gel deficit later in the chapter, so I recommend you grab it to save you time in Laura's fight.

Seb must have cared a LOT FOR Joseph to go get his glasses while that literal monster dog was running amock ..as a person with glasses i felt for poor J here 😥...
I mean he is his partner and in a world that makes so little sense you have to do whatever you can make sure you survive.
The fact that this game is so realistic and scary makes me wanna play it more and more. It's much better than its sequel for sure. The bosses, the zombies, the plot, the main characters, the weapons, everything is so well developed. Never seen a better game, combining action, adventure and horror.
This game felt so challenging at times but its pure gold

I love it how the main character and the doctor are like original well detailed characters, while all the other is the generic random japanese type character.
I mean...doctor in a video game Nooo never done before and a detective naw dude never seen more detail in my gaming life

Evil Within 2 was such a flop. Not once I felt scared or on the edge of my seat. The constant zombies respawing from the ground felt like an action game and was quite funny tbh. The first one was amazing and very creative. The open world scenrio ruined it constantly running around chasing his daughter signal, oh man it was sooo boring I had to force myself to finish the game to get it's moneys worth.
@@MarkOBrian the evil within actually gave me a sense of fear, it reminded me of the first time I ever played resident evil, the enemies were terrifying and it was extremely well done 👍
The second one was very underwhelming

Classic mode the fire walk.
Had to memorize the spawns of each guy there to finally get it down consistently
it was satisfying seeing this guy bully those monsters like they’re nothing. impressive skills

I swear to god, there are monsters in this series that made me shout out "WHAT IS THIS, SILENT HILL?!"
Technically the entire game made me feel like "WHAT THE FUCK SOMEONE PLAYED TOO MUCH SILENT HILL!"

This game brings me back memories. I remember fighting every single boss and playing its DLCs. All of this was on PS3. This is one of the creepiest and scariest games I've played in YEARS.
My palms were sweating and my heart was raising fast while playing this game.

Man Evil Within's bosses are god damn epic. They make you feel like you are hopeless, incapable and weak ( actually you are :D ) . I was feeling alive while playing The Evil Within.
This is such an Underrated game to be fair. Loved it, the second one is not as good but still pretty great.
The 2nd game is dogshit compared to this , the visuals are great and some good boss designs , but the gameplay feel overall is not as good the aiming and gun play is weak and the first one has much scarier enviroments and level design

Comparado con su antecesor seria lo mismo que pasar de los resident evil de ps1 a resident evil 4 pero con una mejor gestión de los recursos

This game looks so damn good with 60fps coming from someone that played it on Ps4. This is exactly how every game should run!
Maybe get a PC, fps can be whatever number you want, even with the highest possible setting if your PC can handle it, it can reach 120fps no problem

So technically the keeper is a guy who tried to pick the lock of a safe and it turned out really bad for him

Late af, but actually that isn’t his story. The Keeper was born from a combination of Ruvik's memory of the safe where he kept his research, and his unbridled rage. The safe head represents the atrocities of Ruvik's past that he's trying to keep hidden, literally crushing anyone who comes near. (I got this from the wiki of the game, but it actually says it in the game when you see the models of the characters). And in one of the DLCs, The Executioner, he is a dude trying to save his daughter from STEM, so he is also connected to the machine, and he must kill the other test subjects and then literally kill himself (He actually kills The Keeper, not himself. The dude survives)

When I first played evil within I actually sometimes didn’t feel like going into a room because there might be a monster
I want to show my brother this game, I think he would love it. He likes resident evil a lot and horror in general. This game looks like it has some awesome action mechanics too!
I just beat it and apparently it is in top five of hardest, unbeatable games. Most people give up on it. Only 15 % of players actually beat it. I died 354 times.

Nah, if you have enough explosive bolts and shotgun ammo, you’ll be fine. I thought Laura was worse, mostly because she’s quick and you have to deal with the pipes that are shooting out fire that get in your way.

Joel Cooper The Keeper is easy to defeat, as you said, if you have explosive bolts and the shotgun, but the problem with him is that the fucker keeps appearing. I think that in the whole game he has like 30 spawn points. I don’t remember where I read that tho. (Sorry for bad English)

This game is literally the best , I mean the graphics , the gameplay , the story , the physics, shooting mechanisms , the charachter development and we also get to play the boxheads side of the story also(IN DLC). Gonna admit it if tango gameworks make more of this series they sure as hell will surpass Resident evil series. If they can be as horrific as RE series in two games then if they continue this franchise they will definitely surpass RE series. Agree with me?

I played this game more than 30 times in nightmare mode and I can't stop, it's like..
This and Cry of Fear are my favorite survival horror games.

Evil Within 1 had much better atmosphere, more intriguing story and more memorable bosses than the sequel. And it didn't force us to cry over cringe family drama. I miss this game so much.

@@nemo320 Yeah Mikami's absence was definitely one of the reasons why Evil Within 2 sucked so much, not only the story was bad but also the gameplay became less challenging and uninteresting compared to the first one.
And I think the second game was not even well-written as a love story; Sebastian's emotions towards Lily felt very artificial
(basically he was just calling her name again and again), and he abandons his wife after all lol
I don't think that terrible story is not really Johanas's fault though. The story in Kidman DLCs was good.

I mean, I haven’t played it, and if I do it will be only because of the boss fight with the Sadist, Keeper and Laura, because I really dislike that game because of the same reasons as you, and because they literally didn’t say anything about Ruvik or Leslie. Tew 2 should’ve been Tew 3. No offense to the people that like it, but I just dislike it so much.
