This skids looks great 👍 I wonder how much weight dose it adds up... now that I did my suspension titan swap my next step is to save up for good under armor so I'm looking around
@@kc0jhs1 Very nice congrats ! they are good quality I know I seen them on some of my friends trucks .. but I was not able to buy them not in my budget so I ended up making skid plates myself .. ( I did videos on that ) out of 3/16 steel came out pretty good I think
large gap on rear drilled holes on engine skid to cross member, i guess i will add like 3 washers to fill it... install mentioned some spacer that may be there... also the space to put the washer and nut inside the cross member is smaller than my fingers, suggestions?
@@heftyfabworks Sorry I should have clarified that it was the stock gas tank skid on my truck had torx bolts that are really soft and strip easily. I had to get an extractor to remove them. They Hefty skids all went on no prob at all.
Hello Hefty FaB team. Do you sell bracket set alone for the 2006 Xterra gas tanks skid and hardwares ?. As i recent bought a set of used skid, but it does not come with brackets and hardwares. Thanks.
@@heftyfabworks already did. Brackets and hardwares arrived to my front porch last week. It was a quick and painless order over the phone i have ever made. Thanks.
I have an ARB front bumper. I read that the radiator skid doesn't fit without modification. Is there any guide or videos showing what type of modification needs to be made to fit? I think a lot of guys on the forum been wondering for years.
Yes and no. The 2020 and up do share a few skids that are the same as the older Frontier but there are one or two that are different for those guys. Installation is going to be basically the same as shown in this video.
Two most important items on a off-road vehicle? Tires and protection! Nice looking product, I'll look you up when it's time to up build my Pro4x.
Thank you! We'll be here!
Really well done. Armour looks like HD quality and smooth fitment.
Great video. I've been incredibly happy with my full set of aluminum skids for my Frontier.
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing.
Would they also fit R51 Pathfinders?
The Xterra skids will fit the R51 Pathfinder with the exception of the gas tank skid plate due to the rear subframe and independent rear suspension

Do 2wd Frontiers get all the same skid plates as the 4wd?....thanks!....those plates look great 💪🏼
They do!
I'd like to add that the gas tank skid is the only one that has torx bolts on it. They strip very easily and can be a pain to remove.
We don't use torx bolts on the gas tank skid.
