    I start to feel that "process" is an important aspect to real time hair (likr lots of other aspects as well). Like, starting from sculpt block, then reference mesh, then generating and only then grooming, instead of placing hair cards right away and groom yourself to death :) Thanks for this input!!! Amazing looking Model! Wow!

      Did you know that meanwhile, latest versions of Hair Tool also uses the new Hair System with modifier stack to be able to place hair! Its quite amazing, but lacks collision for now.

      Hi! Thanks so much! Yes the process making hair can be very painful, and it’s difficult to get it right, I still struggle… the new hair tool is great! I have a new character that I’m excited to use the new tool with it… see how it works…

    I purchased the plugin and was able to get good results, but the roots of the hair don’t look good at all. I literally have to adjust their position manually to achieve halfway decent results. All in all, it’s a great tutorial and a nice plugin.

      Hi! Yes, for visible hairlines, there is no automatic option; the best method is still doing it by hand, unfortunately... If you like the tutorial, take a look at the new series ua-cam.com/play/PL45e6_6JyNY9Ff2mgOG0FnwrBWSZSdxk_.html&si=nPfCv3kC6hEbrtud

    Hello thank you for doing this video it’s very helpful.
    Would this be transferable to unity too? I’m worried incase I can get it right in blender then can’t get it to the game engine

      Hi! Thanks! Once you have the hair as hair cards you can use it anywhere, you will need the right shaders to make the hair look good, but that happens in any engine 😉

      Hi! The eyebrows are hair cards as well, Hair Tool have a library of assets that you can use and modify based on your character :-)

    so in a nutshell you are Using a Texture in a 3D Plan that is Shape like Hair and Layering (adding) More 3D Meshes to Create Depth...
    Of Course while Following the Sillhoute of the Hair....

      Hi, yes, those are called "Hair Cards." There are different techniques to place them; manual placement is the best but the most time-consuming. The technique in the video is a combination of the Hair Tool and the use of modifiers to make hair quicker. This technique is already outdated since Hair Tool and Blender got new versions and tools like Geometry Nodes. I plan to make another tutorial with a new technique using Geometry Nodes to place hair cards with the Hair Tool.

    Thank you Dani! Where do I buy this tool? The only one I can find is the one for "Anime" style characters.

    Hola Dani, quería preguntarte si has tocado las texturas del pelo para que en el render aparezcan con transparencias. Es que al renderizar me sale el fondo negro como si la textura no fuese alpha :(

    • @DaniMarti_
      @DaniMarti_  Рік тому

      Hola! Si las texturas tienen transparencia, y el shader también, eso es imprescindible si quieres que el pelo parezca más realistico.

    • @DaniMarti_
      @DaniMarti_  Рік тому

      Si usas el shader de Hair Tool, ya viene preparado por defecto.

      Your result is impressive.
      Any chance to get the material setup you used? I can't figure out how to use it. Tried it with transparency but is looks off.
      Thanks
