To celebrate you guys helping us cross the 100K subscriber milestone, I decided to do a toolbox tour of the over 200 toolboxes in my collection from doing this UA-cam channel! However, my collection is not complete as there are a lot of toolboxes that simply aren't available in the UK!
So I guess I'll have to fly the US to hunt them down! Follow me along on an epic American adventure, searching for toolboxes, finding quirky tools and experiencing the US culture for the very first time!

I've got everything they sell in the UK! Very impressed with their innovative tools. Just wish we had more in the UK like the VDE drivers and can't wait for the boxes!

As a joiner I had to get the harness tool belt system from toughbuilt sent to me front USA years ago over 10 , and it’s still going now great quality. Obviously it’s available here now but it wasn’t then . Being a tool monster I’m always jealous that the USA has way more stuff and at better value than us

And there’s somethings you guys have that I wish we had. The black Milwaukee pack outs are the first that comes to mind.
Hi! My name is Nat I’m an ex-pat Brit who has lived in the US for 10 years. Noticed you have only been to places on the east coast. You should come out my way, Illinois, we have a hardware store called Menards, that is a true contender on price compared to Lowe’s and Home Depot. They almost always have an 11% rebate system so you get 11% money back on whatever you buy, so you can go back and buy more of their stuff!!
They have their own brand of pack out system called master force (not sure on quality compared to the rest) but for the prices, you can’t get better.
100% recommend your next trip out to the states is to Illinois where you’ll enjoy the wonders of Menards!

Great video. Interesting to see how people from overseas view the USA when they actually travel here and do "normal" things like shopping for household items. Hopefully the USA left a good impression, shopping and having huge stores is something we are very good at.

You should really make a video rating the different systems. Can't believe there is anyone that have seen and tried more systems then you! I love my Systainers, but fun to see others too

Great video, nice insight into the American hardware and tool shops. Amazing haul very cool to see all the different tool boxes and systems together. Klein mod box is may favorite as it’s my favourite colour but shortly followed by the flex stack 👌🏻. Excited to see more 👍🏻

The Americans definitely get a much wider choice than the UK. Great video and wish our prices were also similar. One question, did you get a big hit on import tax ? Congratulations on the 100k.
And in NZ we get virtually nothing, apart from Milwaukee & De Walt, & at crazy high prices!

@@ShadowFoam - I have some of their tool pouches and they have been fantastic quality - I haven't personally seen any better, so very interested to see the boxes!
I love my rigid boxes . I can’t wait to get more . And I have some of the tough built pouches . Those are really great .

I have only just found your channel. loving your approach and its very informative. Need to go through some of your other videos over the next few days. Not sure I need these stacking boxes but then again I have never thought about it so perhaps I may change my mind, bring it on and convince me.

Amazing video. I done a UA-cam video almost a year ago now where I bought all the Klein mod box accessories and modified my Milwaukee packout boxes so I could get the benefit of the innovative accessories Klein came up with. I think the toughbuilt system you purchased is going to be the biggest competitor for Milwaukee and dewalt to deal with.

I am all over that Toughbuilt stuff. I have a load of Keter stuff from the last few years and about 18 of the Stanley/Dewalt/JCB deep sorter containers. Big fan!
Also just got a big Kirkland drawer unit- need more ShadowFoam for them when I get round to arranging everything!

I've been a subscriber for a while and love the videos. Just put in my first order for ShadowFoam (just got the dispatched email) and looking forward to getting it into the garage and start organising my Halfords drawer cabinet tool box. Have a few stanley boxes that will need organised as well.

And it's the same with hand tools, & power tools, take Bosch they offer a 10" axial glide mitre saw CM10GD, sadly not available in the UK, it's the same with other power tool brands.

I use the tough built as a suitcase when traveling. people give funny looks especially security but it works great.

@@ShadowFoam i think the toughbuilt looks decent although i do like milwaukee, you should check the quality of the wheels and bearings that makes a diff to buyers, well me
Toughbuilt is the cases & accessories I'd like to see first, all the toughbuilt equipment I have purchased so far seem to be on the next level.
I did buy a lot of the tools and accessories too

Klein or Toughbox please
Just hilarious that you came to the states to buy tool boxes. Love the content and you have a new subscriber. I have both ToughBuilt stack and Dewalt’s Tough System stack. I also have the Rigid roller. The ToughBuilt is definitely the most solid of all the systems out there but it’s also the heaviest. When I first bought it and I was wheeling it out to my car, I checked to see if someone put a bag of cement in the box because it was so heavy.

I’ve got toughbuilt myself and I’d say it feels miles stronger than any of the other expensive plastic crap other brands have

Also side question, have you considered making cutouts for the larger toolbox brands? I’ve just bought a series 3 us general 72” toolbox (US Harbor Freight), and I’ll have to see if your largest sheets will fit in each drawer since some are longer.

I'm an electrician in Florida, I use the Hart Stack boxes. For the price, they can't be beat. I got the roller, regular box, three drawers and organizer for about $140 or so. I've beaten the hell out of these boxes, dragging them through mud, sitting on them, throwing them around and it holds up pretty well.
Very cool that you went all the way to the US just to get boxes, hopefully our British brothers can have access to more options like we have here in the States.
Availability vs Demand, Demand vs Availability.
Always a difficult one to call, given that the demand is unknown without the availability, and vice versa.
As a DIYer, I always like to call into local DIY shops when in a new town, and I always find something that I might need that I haven’t seen locally.

However, having just found your channel you have given an idea which I believe you have not done yet. However, what is the best way cut out recesses and angled edges on the underside?

Toughbuilt stack tech is my favorite, looking forward to a release of them in europe.
I just brought some SF and struggling to template and cut to shape, I would love an insert for the Magnuson version of the Toughstak organizer box.

I like the Ridgid drawer box. I bought two of them and turned one into a 4 drawer and the other into a two drawer. plus you can make them into the dolly box.

For as much as you had, I would have probably bought an air cargo palet from your airline and shipped the entire lot as a single freight palet. Probably would have been a bit more economical than piece shipping all of those boxes.

New Jersey has the largest ever Home Depot. Anaheim California has the second largest one. Both are twice the size of an average HD.
From Texas, and Toughbuilt has quickly become my favorite! Instead of the big rolling box on bottom, I use the dolly. It's good stuff.
Milwaukee = 2nd
Rigid = 3rd

FYI here in Australia, we have the RED Milwaukee.
From the look of the boxes if I was going to buy another system other than my Milwaukee Packout , it would be the Klein.
Is there anything else different in Australia when it comes to tools and toolboxes?

We have very limited range here in Oz.
Milwaukee and Dewalt in "soft" plastic and Makita in "hard"
There are 2 that are that are probably rebrand from somewhere. I sure you will recognise them.
OX and Hikoki.

Hikoki is another one - expensive.

@@ShadowFoam yup, a few times with friends but it was the digital version rather than the board game itself - may look to branch out to other games, but D&D is my go to start off with i think
I am in Canada and have been using the Husky Connect system for some time, it not to bad but the handle on the base toolbox can be a pain to transport. Loving your channel
Definitely the toughbuilt I live in Belgium got a few toughbuilt things over here I did buy the tool belt and shoulder harness was specifically for when im working up on a roof so handy and amazing quality looking forward to seeing the other tools that you got from them
How long have you had the tool belt and harness?
@@ShadowFoam I think a couple of years now it is so handy with the shoulder harness when you have pouches full of fixings tools and a machine hanging off of it

but from what I can see in your video, it seems that the different brands use the same box and rebrand them with their own logo.
There is a lot of that that happens in toolbox manufacturing and I hope to make a full video on that in the future!

I completely agree with you about the cost of shipping supplies, the prices have skyrocketed especially packing tape. I was helping someone move and went to Home Depot a couple of months ago and was really mad at how high the prices were on tape.
