i know im a bit late on this tutorial but does anyone know how to do Yaw when you only have one jump jet and not two? bec i dont want to stick an ugly tail rotor on
You can do the same thing with nuclear power, I like to use the steam piston trick to help boost pwr output to the props and jet turbine. And an output from both the Heli prop and the jet turbine going to a clutch then generator setup... So when you switch from vtol to forward it instantly cuts rotation of the props/jet turbine when not in use, keeps them from creating any forces interfering with intended movement.
Anyone have any ideas why my ship pitches straight up and loses control when i apply the forward thrust? I hooked it up completely the same as here, but when i activate the clutch for forward thrust it immediately rotates to point straight up and i have zero control over it
@@ProfNCognito I’ll have to double check again in the morning. I believe it sits towards the middle of the wings front to rear, it’s centered on the fuselage width wise. As for vertically I don’t remember. Where should I aim for the link block to be? And is there a specific way to build wings to make them generate lift? This is my first time building an aircraft that isn’t a helicopter so I have no idea what I’m doing lol, appreciate the help!
@@ProfNCognito hey do you also know way i could get the fans in the front of the engines to spin when i push a toggle button? (id like them to spin for cosmetics lol)
Ok I don't know if its just me or does anyone else have trouble with the yaw in vtol mode. and when I watch the video his look 100X smother than mine. I think he needs to update the VTOL microcontroller
he was asked to do a tutorial for a certain thing, yet he did more tan he needed to! Love this channel so much.
So true.
Thanks for the tutorial. You made the Engines look better than my Spaceships
Reminds of a pod racer. Very nice.
wow this is what it feels to have your comment in a YT video, i like it
Yeah anytime heli blades shake like that it’s too much rps to weight. Engines look good, maybe you should make a second space ship 😊
Hey my comment got put up! Hell yeah! Thanks prof!!
So glad to be heard ❤❤❤❤
Maaaaan, they loo so darn cool!!!
maybe you could connect a wheel to the rps that goes to the fan and use the wheel brake to slow it down
Doesn't work as well as you think it almost acts like a reaction wheel and spins the craft
Correct me if iam wrong but the vtol capability won’t work on the moon right
Jets won't work in space
Correct that's why I will add the new liquid thrusters to the nacels. Once jet cuts out its over to rocket fuel.
but how will it take off vtol from the moon

(Jets work in space)
Thank you. 😊
Can you make a video on how to make opening and closing toggle button canopy’s without steam workshop mcs?
Like pivots? Or a track?
@@IDentification77 on a pivot like modern jet aircraft or something like the canopy that only open on one side
@@C0R3894 Use a switchbox
It can turn a on/off into a toggled numerical value
@@IDentification77 dumb down a bit…
Connect some generators to the fans, they work well as flywheel brakes while also giving you some electricity back

@@großadmiralhans rebuild the helicopter part for one.
Who’s gonna build a pod racer now?
I'm ready working on that 😂
Insert meme: Anakin: It's working!
It's not nuclear powered, I'm not interested(just a joke as I make literally everything nuclear, very cool engine indeed, have a like)

where is the pink block for balance?

@@OfficialAlexSailor i think you want the pink block near your center of thrust and center of lift
Hey If its okay with you, could I use these jumpjets on a creation and upload it to the workshop? Ill make sure to credit you for the engines as well!
Go for it have fun!

They should already. Hook up to a clutch.

didnt even finish the engine and was just testing it and it went to like 30000 rps. im scared
it even broke my test world :(
Looks kinda like a podracer 😅
Mine is just flying up ;(
but Seriously. I need to know if im doing something wrong
