Rule of thumb with realistic space stations and windows
Keep them as small as possible and more focus on maximising equipment rather then windows

Hey instead of having to draw cables between pods, you could have a universal joint.
What I mean is that, let’s say; the left side connector is extended one block, and the right side one is indented.

I plan on building several pieces to colonise the moon!
An idea to make sure the station leaks as little oxygen as possible if a module somehow disconnects
If the doors have a state toggle for if they're connected, run that output, as well as the button to open the door through an and gate. This makes sure that you can't open the door without there being a module on the other side, and if a module disconnects it'll start closing the door immediately
I’m pretty sure electric connectors connect automatically with no power, and I’m also pretty sure you can transfer electricity through them. Maybe have a system where once an electrical connector makes contact, it is able to power the module it’s docking to which can turn the hatch magnet on and fully dock the 2 craft together.

You might want those solar panels to rotate on another axis too.
Naked summit work you'll need a provement a lot of improvement for safety features and more but you got the basics down
when in doubt, more windows!
and im here still trying to figure out how to turn on a motor or anything in the game using the microcontroller 😭
