"Just go ahead and cry it out, just cry it out" , "You know how they always say to get back up on the horse? Yeah I don't think you should" It sounds like those mean girls at my barn 😂
@horsesandrainbows179 wow I’m pretty sure I’d have a heart attack because I really only ride ponies and the thought of riding anything over 16.2 hands is a nightmare
I once has a trainer say EVERYONE of these things to me so I told her she needed to quit her job and find something else to do. She made me leave the barn, so I found a new one and LOVE IT!!!!
No body lol Trainer: Your gonna be late Trainer:sure I can’t tack you horse up Trainer:your gonna be an hour late Trainer:sure I can warm up your house for you Words I have never heard together 😂😂
I fractured my hip being clothes lined by a tree at full gallop a day before barrel racing competition and my instructor looked me dead in the eye, looked at my hip and said, "Well, go on.. Check your cinch and get back on!"
That seems rather negligent, maybe pain wasn't obvious at the time due to adrenaline, but I'm assuming you would probably be obviously very hurt.. it's a HIP FRACTURE. I'd kinda like to hear how the rest of that story went.
“Your my favorite student” OMGGGGGGG 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 OMG girl Looooove you and your comedy videoooooos I wish I could meeeet you one dayyyyy lovveeeeee yoluuuuuu !!!! You will do great things in life if you need any help with advice or other things I will always be here for you I am your biggest van love you 😘
This is AWESOME! 🤣🤣 So, funny story. The other day my instructor actually said that I could put more weight into my toes because I was being pulling off balance because my toes were sticking outward away from the saddle....😮 I was shocked, but it actually worked... still in shock from that!!
Things my trainer has actually said to me: Point your toes down and push down into your stirrups. Put your chin down and look down. Flop around, be floppy. Shake your body, wiggle your shoulders (in two point). Sit heavy in your saddle. My trainer has also taken photos and videos for me. She also has asked me what I want to work on that day. She also has told me to not add leg and do things with as little leg as possible (yes, even when jumped, but that was specific to that pony). And yes, she does tell me that I do a good job!!! There is reason to her madness... I promise you. She’s an excellent trainer and has really transformed my riding from jumping to dressage. (I have one old compilation video of me riding on my channel, so you will be able to see for yourself if you want, that she isn’t some godawful trainer ruining my riding. 🤣)
I'm the type of person who is laid-back, so I do better in a positive correction. Even I would do terrible with that kind of trainer. @Gypsy Equestrian I loved the photos for Instagram part. As well as looking back at the jump! I never rode English and I hope I can some day! Your humor encourages me, in a strange way, to want to get back into riding. Don't ever take time with horses for granted, all of you, because I did. I regret it!
Kinda reminds me of when I was young, dumb and thought it would be a good idea to ask my instructor (who is a bit of a sarcastic bitch and I say that with humour) for a lesson bareback... During a time when I leaned forward on trot-canter transitions... Yeah my horse was mysteriously 'lame' that week and I was put on the demon pony who bucked every transition. Needless to say I made some quick acquaintances with the ground but afterwards I never leaned forward on transitions again! So something worked. Certainly not my pride after an hour of being tossed time and time again. But something did.
The only one I hear is “Good that looks great” or “Wow you are really improving!” because my trainer is really nice but she has no hesitation to criticize me either 😂
my instructor goes ask for canter then well done ask for it again your horse is so lazy. well done. that was perfect even tho we only got a corner of canter. 🤣
i've actually had my trainer ask me (seriously, not sarcastically) what i've wanted to do/thought i should do for a lesson (i.e. serpentines, 20m circles, trotting trail, etc). granted, where i go is a PATH therapy facility, and also, i try to be very aware of what i need to work on as a general concept or things i'm having trouble with. and it differs, depending on the horse (e.g. there's one who tends to drift left when she's trotting and i have trouble trotting her in 20m circles, so if that's who i'm riding that day that is what we end up deciding to work on). granted, i'm not really learning with competition in mind (that's just a happy side-effect). i just want to learn to ride and be around horses and so, i think we kind of take more of co-trainer mindset to it -- she's training me to train the horse. but she does frequently remind me "heels down, shoulders back!"
It's really sad that so many of these are just things like "You're doing great!" or "I know you're trying your best". 😢Positive reinforcement is important.
Follow my on Instagram! I do giveaways every Friday on there! instagram.com/gypsyequestrian/ I'll probably be doing a bigger giveaway when I hit 2,000 subs on here to celebrate! UA-cam has made it so hard to contact youtubers so thats why I moved it to IG.
Okay I have a little story I was trying a new barn I was 7 at the time and the trainer said you’re going to fall you need to fall to be a good rider a and I was doing English riding at the time and are that first time she put me on a western saddle and I had never ridden western before so that was fun I never went back to that lesson place again😅😅 😂😂.
"You look too prideful, go ahead and humble yourself a bit and slouch down." Made me laugh so hard!😂😂
Same xDDD
WHAT SOURCERY HAVE YOU PERFORMED- I READ THIS RIGHT EXACTLY AS THE VIDEO SAID IT-
Haha
omg since when do trainers say that i agree i will be laughing all week
IKR!!!

"Feel like your bouncing!" 😂😂 I wish my trainer could say some of this stuff!! The only time they might its SUPER sarcastic.
"Less leg."
*Chokes on water*
My trainer doesn’t ask for my phone to take pictures but during lessons she sometimes snaps a few quick ones on her own phone.
Same😆
@@melittagyetvan5251 Mostly it’s for us to see our progress. She might drop dead at the thought of waisting a lesson on a photo shoot.

The other day my coach said I was improving.... a week later I moved up a lesson and now jump over 3 foot 🥰🖤
That is AWESOME! You must feel accomplished! 💕 jumping has to be the most fun thing ever

LESS leg, LESS leg, got me dying 😂😂😂😂
The thumbnail explains everything
my trainer looking over my shoulder watching this. 💀
This had me laughing so hard!! Never in a million years will a trainer/ instructor tell you to use ‘less leg’ or ‘keep your leg off.’😂
Haha you've never met my trainer. I wasn't allowed to use leg at all (or stirrups) my first two years with her!
I once has a trainer say EVERYONE of these things to me so I told her she needed to quit her job and find something else to do. She made me leave the barn, so I found a new one and LOVE IT!!!!
Why would you say she needed to quit her job
Thats rude to say that to her
I kinda wanna watch the video again and count how many times she said "good"😂
When you said heals up I was like what and I Saw with trainers don’t say 🤦♀️🤣🤣
*"What did you have in mind for today's lesson?"*
My riding instructor actually does ask me that at the beginning of every lesson.
No body lol
Trainer: Your gonna be late

Dang- I've been doing it all wrong. Thank you for setting me straight.
Most instructors really mean it when they say "great job"
My trainer yells at me heels down!!!! And always look ahead. 🤣😂😅
Me and my mom who knows only a little bit abt riding laughing at this picturing my instructors saying this😂
Keep up the great videos. You do awesome work! Thanks for giving equestrians a laugh 😆! We all need some fun and positivity in this world.
Loved this video ❤️! If trainers actually said what was said in the video riding would be too easy 😂
Right?!
No trainer says what did you have in mind for the lesson!🤣
Less leg! Ooh no
Point those toes though🤣
