Shmini - ‘Eighth’
Leviticus 9:1-11:47
After spending seven days set apart from the rest of the nation within the Tabernacle grounds for their consecration and inauguration as priests, on the eighth day Aaron and His sons officially begin their duties as priests to Yah. Offerings are placed on the altar and the divine fire of God consumes them, after which the ‘Shekinah presence’, the physically manifested presence of God, begins to dwell in the Tabernacle.
Shortly after this, Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu offer what the Scriptures refer to as ‘strange fire’, an offering which God had not commanded. Exactly what they did is unknown however the outcome of their abominable offering was their deaths, consumed by the fire of God. Aaron, knowing that his sons had acted unrighteously, remains silent. Aaron goes on to disagree with Moses about the offerings, however after conceding to his viewpoint, Aaron is declared to be right.
Also in this Parsha are the kosher dietary laws defining which animals are clean to eat and which ones are not to be considered as food and thus forbidden by God to be eaten by His people. A comprehensive list of animals is given as well as a formula to be able to define whether or not an animal can be considered fit for consumption.

A week before Easter, the Lord commanded me to start reading Leviticus. This has been so very powerful for me! Everything in the Torah points to Jesus and His first coming, ministry, death, resurrection, his being taken up to heaven, and most importantly his second coming!! How do we miss it? I was kinda laughing when president Biden named Easter the day of transmissibility day, and all the Christian's here were loosing their minds over it. I thought to myself all he did was restore the helliday back to it's rightful Owner, then I thanked Yah for taking himself out of this helliday.
My son's didn't think of these hellidays as a Big deal, until I showed them the evil practice's that took place in the ancient times, their argument was well we don't do now, I told them that Yah was there watching these evil things take place and because he witnessed these things do you think he wants his children having anything to do with this?
Yah opened their eyes and now they are going to do Passover this year for the first time..
Praise Yah for he has answered my prayers..

Looking into the puritans that came to the mayflower to American is super interesting. I believe they were a remnant. They didn’t have it perfectly, and eventually started to lose certain customs, but they were persecuted by the Protestant Church of England. They didn’t celebrate Christmas and many had Jewish descent. They were truly in America for religious freedom vs Protestant in Jamestown who weren’t persecuted but were backed by money and the Church of England. The puritans use to not eat pork - found evidence in a Shakespearean play - thanksgiving was later officialized and dated on the wrong date November, but originally many believe it was more of a feast of tabernacles. It’s really interesting when you read those super old pre 1850s books.

Shalom. I am attending a Baptist church in Tennessee where the Word is faithfully taught but the Christian holidays are celebrated. I have a strong desire to ditch such days and observe biblical feasts and days only but I've Noone on board with me... I don't drive and I'm way out in the country so I really don't have a way to find like minded believers but I long for fellowship, ya see my position? when these holidays are celebrated Christ and the gospel are absolutely the focus, what the enemy meant for bad, God can turn to good, right? I don't know how to properly go about implementing these proper holy days, I suppose I can invite folks to my home and start new customs... any advice?
I am in the same position - no one to share the feasts & holy days with either. My family/friends still participate in man's tradition, not God's. Nothing I can do about it, soooo I'll just do it alone & wait for the day that I/we can do it in the presence of our Holy One. We may not have a whole lot of joy on our own BUT one day we won't be alone... that's the great hope we have in the Lord. How about we pray for one another on these days - the lonely ones - and just do our best to serve God (maybe God will smile at us). Shalom Amy🌺

I had to repent for telling someone I grew up going to Sunday church with Happy Easter a couple weeks ago. I had seen her in the store about a week before that pagan feast. And it just fell out of my mouth like i haven’t been out of the Babylonian system for 7 years. 🤦♀️ And I didn’t even celebrate it with anyone.

They’re ok with it but it’s still awkward and I think more that people (who don’t know me but are Christian) think I’m an aetheist because I don’t celebrate anything they do lol. There's a hundred ways to offer strange fire and its easily done when we've learned a mixture of worshiping God and the worship of the nations. We want Yah's pure ways of worship and those alone!! For such a time as this brothers and sisters! Time to come out of babylons syncretism. Amazing to be a part of YAH gathering us up and beginning to return His people to ancient paths. Has anyone ever observed that the name jesus is blasphemed all the time; but the name Yahusha/Yeshua is never, that i have ever heard or seen. I can’t help but wonder if satan is not able to blaspheme the true name of the Son of Yahuah, but only the false name he created.
Just curious if anyone else ever noticed that. Same with Yahuah/Yahweh. The curses are always made in the title that can apply to any god/deity, but not the One true and living Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Or maybe the greatest breaking of the third commandment is actually using the word god in place of His name, which Satan has made sure everyone has done and most still do.

I’ve had personal confirmation that the name Jesus is powerful and good to use. Pray for your answer from God though. I don’t know if it’s because of my particular calling, but I agree that the Name of Yah I haven’t seen blasphemed like the name of the Son. I do see some rappers using Yeshua but more like using the name in vain and also in some weird false doctrine.
@@lilgi2 I certainly agree there is power in the name Jesus, as I likewise experienced all the years that that was the only name I knew. However I have found much greater power in the name Yeshua/Yahusha and walking in obedience to the lamb of Elohim who takes away the sins of the world, as He calls us to do in loving obedience to Him and the Father, and shows us how. As for weird false doctribes, what weirder false doctrines are promoted in the name of Yeshua than in the name of Jesus? Most Jesus followers will tell you He did away with the Torah, that He is going to come whisk them away from tribulation before it gets uncomfortable for their lawless, disobedient grace covered selves, that He’s taking them to heaven somewhere in outer space, that they replaced Israel, etc. A whole bunch of crazy, unbiblical doctrines have been attributed to the sinless (perfectly obedient to Torah) Son of Yah.
Do you know that the name Jesus didn’t even come into use until the 1600’s? Look at a 1611 King James Version Bible and you won’t find Jesus in there. He hadn’t been rolled out yet.
If there is only one name under heaven by which we must be saved, what name do you think Satan will do everything in his power to try to change - not just the actual name, but the character and meaning associated with that name? Believe me, it has been a shocking eye opening revelation for me to come to recognize the crazy level of deception we who came out of the church/Rome and her harlot daughters have been under all our churchianity lives (and I’m almost 70 so I lived in deception a long time, and praise Yahuah every day that He called me out of that darkness and into His marvelous light of Torah/the Word/Yeshua.

I am a divorced single woman. My husband got on drugs and would not repent and turn from that lifestyle. I had to leave. I'm working a job that has me on every other Sat. I cannot find a job that pays me well and also gives me off Sat. (Sabbath) It bothers me, but I dont know what to do. Will I be in trouble with God? Please pray for me.

Hey! I was shared a few of your fellowship’s Shabbat teachings from a leader in my fellowship. They have been edifying to my understanding and spirit. Praise YaH for the work he is doing through your fellowship. I am out of the Kentucky/ Indiana area in the USA, but hope one day to visit your fellowship and Shabbat with you all.
I also, have heard some teachings regarding Semitic people. Do you think that the anti-Christ is specifically going to arise out of the midst of the Jewish people currently residing in Jerusalem? Or are you merely claiming that the anti-Christ will be of Semitic ethnicity?
Also, after listening to many teachings of yours, I was wondering how come you follow the Torah portions since it comes out of Judaism? I’m not very adept in my knowledge of Torah portions but I was told it came out of Judaism and haven’t found anything to the contrary.

I know that the change from traditions of men to the High Holy Days of Yah can sometimes be a bit of a process as you begin to allow the Holy Spirit to wash your garments clean.

Its not biblical. Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Jesus , Yeshua says he comes after the tribulation, and after the abomination of deslolation, Paul is a second witness in second Thessalonians chapter 2. I tell you this with love. Yeshua comes at the last trump. he doesnt come and get people leave , and come back. He comes here, and we will be changed in our spiritual bodies at his coming.
