I honestly believe that Aegon is not at fault, he was raised with a not so great mom, his father didn't really show any love, he was never properly taught to be a king and all of a sudden they expect him to know everything. I believe he only agreed to it because when he was in front of those people last season, it might have been the first time he has ever felt any sense of "love"

Now imagine you're at war with no leadership and your mom disappears without saying anything AND an army is on the way to kill you. Come on guys...
Crazy end to the episode, Rhaenys character was such a good one, we certainly have come a long way with dragons (since the days of the film Dragon Heart st least 😂) cool reaction guys.
Rhaenys could NOT go back. She went there to support Rhaenyra's people in that castle, and if she had left they'd have been at the mercy of Cole's forces and Vhagar. Her only choice was to fight to the death, hers or Aemond's.

But then she whispered for Meleys to attack and I couldn't help but respect that steel spine she has and the absolute COURAGE to stand her ground and protect the people fighting for her.
