I love this game! Something I recommend is just have their schedules as sleep and anything. If they need a break they'll just take one. I only make them sleep for the first 2 and the last 2 hours of the day
Does that work? I have the feeling that they need a lot more time to finish something, so I don't split the working hours either... I have to try it once 😁... Thanks for the advice 🙃😄
@@HuffyT yep. I'll keep an eye on someone if they are doing something far from the base so if they stop I'll force them to finish but I rarely have anyone freak out because they'll always relax when they need to
Cool tip for you to try if you hadn't yet. Make a fence around your base and leave one tunnel in one side, so the enemy may pathfind through it. Fill it with beartraps, the tunnel needs to be at least 5 squares big or they will go for the fence anywhere instead, that will make waves from the first year a lot easier than they should :)
Hello again Huffy! Appreciate your input and after many hours am still needing help. So finally I finished my first campaign and in spite of many difficulties I am surprised how much in love I am with this game. I play all types of games except sports games and building sim games. Anyway I was about to start a trading outpost scenario but before I start running into new things I don’t know, I was hoping for some advice for the trading outpost scenario. My most important question is, what products are the most profitable to produce? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And may you spend many happy years “Stranded” 😊 .
Congratulations on the first completed campaign. First, I would recommend you not to go to Saltu. Although this planet is good for plants and they grow fast on this planet, this planet is quite challenging to survive. Then I would recommend that you take Vicente as one of the survivors, he is an expert farmer and trader whose skills will come in handy when trading with passing ships. And you will get the most money with electronic things and medicine. So it is very important for you to start planting grain and silicon as soon as possible. And since we now have drones, see what would be the easiest to ferment, since the drones do it for you passively, also use the robots to farm. Otherwise, this scenario is my favorite, I had the most fun with this one, I hope you'll have it too 😀 Stay stranded 😁
Hello Huffy! Love your very helpful video. This is the first game of this type I ever played. I am a preaty seasoned hard core gamer but this game has me feeling like the worst of noobs😭. In spite of this I am really loving this game but boy this game has a huge learning curve and am enjoying the game so much am willing to learn it. Now I have watched tons of UA-cam videos on this game but am still not sure on what research should be prioritized. And how are tamed animals suppose to generate stone. I tamed a Gujo and he never generated any stone and just ended being more trouble than he was worth ( he went phycho and almost killed one of my survivors who had a gun and high combat skills and just ran away like a total baby 😭.) Anyway any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you very much and keep up the great work helping out Noob/Hard Core gamers like me 🤕
Hi, I'm glad the video helped you. It's true that the game has a lot of things that you have to pay attention to. For research, I would recommend first furnaces, flamethrowers and then electricity to be able to set up the turrets. As for the animals, I didn't delve so deeply into this topic, because the situation can get out of hand very quickly, especially with dogs. I don't know if Gujo gives you stones, I know Broodmother gives you Nanotubes. All other aggressive animals are just for training, so that you can take them with you when you are attacked. The non-aggressive animals are for the meat and manure farm. Manure is for making fuel and fertilizing your plants. I hope that helps a little. If you have any questions feel free to ask. 🙂 Have a nice one
Basically I'm always changing characters and trying out their abilities and which characters fit and which don't... I currently have Jack and Conor... But for Gryson I'm not sure if I've ever used him 😀
One thing that you mention about Ken being good at crafting... That gives him something to do when he isn't being drafted or hunting. Not every food gives food poisoning... pickled veggies and dried meat are both safe to eat, but both are in the raw foods catagory. Cooked rations do spoil. It's better to proritize food that does spoil anyways than to convert all of your lasts forever food into food that spoils in a few days, Depending on how many emergency rations, and the type of raw food (especially meat) ... really? That's just competely backwards.... the raw food is going to spoil anayways, so you'll only cook 2... but the emergency rations will never spoil so you'll go all out at making 100% of it spoil by the end of the week? They even tell you in the Tutorial, cooking your rations is a last ditch if you have no other food. That way you'll always have some in an e,ergency instead of looking at empty shelves because they all rotted away.
This is true. That's Rations don't spoil if they're not cooked.. But in the beginning you have no other food until you harvest something. That's just how to get started. Later you have to change a lot of things and adapt them to the situation. 😃 And for Kevin... He's good in so many ways... You can use him in so many different tasks... He's one of the better survivors. 😃
@@HuffyT Ah, I see. Some starting advice like turn off simple priorities, you never want to change. For some reason I had that mindset for the food. ??? But having said that about simple priorities... there is a circumstance you may want to turn it on for just a min. Suppose you hosed someone's priorities. (Were on the wrong line or column.) If you turn on simple priorities, uncheck hosed priorities, recheck them, then turn off simple priorities... Every one you 'reset' was reset to default, ie. 3. Depending on how many and how bad they were hosed.. it may be easier doing this. Definitely circumstantial and not always the best fix
I would never turn off simple priorities, even if you are a beginner. The sooner you learn/get used to it, the sooner you will understand the concept of priorities. And at the end of the day, there are a million ways to play this game and I think any way anyone plays is right (there is no wrong way to play the game). So it all depends on each individual how and why play this game. 😃 The main thing is that the individual enjoys playing it. 🙃

Do you ever use Greyson for building or only Rakha?
