I was more into learning how all the switches worked. There was alot of information here just not what I needed to know more about. Trying to figure out how all the circuit work on the switches. Thanks for making the video as I am certain it will be useful for other.
What do you mean by how the switches work? Circuits are just a preset number to have attached to the same thing. For example: switch on number 1. Anything put onto active circuit 1 will turn on or off based on that switch. Hope that helps
"You've probably gone this far anyway if you are watching this video", mate, I haven't even started the game! I just bought it (after watching some basic videos about it) as it's marked down on Steam, and I want to have a better understanding of the mechanics before diving into it, lol.
What I cannot get to work is if I have a thermostat as well. The thermostat (set to active circuit #1) is set to turn on the heaters(set to active circuit #1) when it's below 20C. I installed a power switch (set to active circuit #1) and when I turn it off it's supposed to turn off all devices on active circuit #1. Or so I thought because it doesn't seem to do anything. The thermostat and heaters are still on.
@@TheOnlyL0nzY Yes they are. I was able to get the switch to work, but only if I the thermostat and switch are controlling a different circuit. Some reason I cannot get the thermostat and switch to work on the same circuit.
Just started playing this 3 days ago on PS4….. I did the tutorial which was fine but my power keeps depleting so quickly & I’m assuming it’s because I don’t have a battery? 2 solar panels powering 4 light bulbs and they all go out as soon as night falls 😂…. I turned the solar panels off during day assuming they would accumulate stored energy but this is not the case…. 😤. The diesel generator takes the slack but I think it is band aiding a gap in my lack of understanding of understanding of this game lol…
Electric grids? I don't have electric grids as an option. Also, how do you designate a circuit? I know there is a circuit list, but what are those circuits linked to, grids?
I just got the game. I'm trying to figure out how I can have lights automatically turn on when people walk into a room? I thought of using a day-night sensor, but some rooms are completely enclosed and don't have natural light. It's inefficient to have survivors handle keeping torches lit. Anyone figured out a decent way that isn't too complicated to make it happen? Thanks guys!
@@TheOnlyL0nzY it's on the upper left corner of the ui in the game. The blue light bulb icon side of the temperature. Im on ps5 platform so i can't hover to it to get any details. Tried googling it and watching other YT videos but none discussed any details about that blue light bulb icon. I'm really curious
I just solved that problem today! You can Use the pistol you get at start of game. Disassemble into power cell. Then - disassemble that - you get an electronic part. It counts as starting the electric tech tree options.

I'm new to the game and I really appreciate tutorials like this. Thank you. Great job.
Glad to help!
Just picked this game up off a co-worker’s recommendation. This is what I needed. Thanks!
Enjoy!
Dude you too?! I'm fucking hooked. Had to restart about 10 times. 😂

Very nice tutorial. I'd like to see the option of a massive colony which is self sufficient but incorporates all the DLC content.
We can hope this comes one day! Thanks Scott!
Thank you, just what I needed
👍
Why hello there! Here I was thinking episode 3 has dropped, thanks for the release Lonzy!
Episode 3 was yesterday.... LOL
@@TheOnlyL0nzY K, you win!
Future episodes need to be released, quickly!

Thanky ou for this guide! Really helpful resource and good job with the audio in the video. =)
Very through, appreciate your video and sharing knowledge. Love this game
Great video explaining the control circuits
Thanks for the video, very informative!
Very good ... Thank you master.

Awesome explanation
👍
Thanks. That helps and explains a lot 👍 😜

Have you checked to make sure that they are all on the same power grid?

@RavenCatcher I personally never use it. Sounds like a potential bug?

just keep solar panels on no matter what and connected up. Yes, batteries are very much needed
Just a little hello 😊 cheers bud

All electrical devices like turrets etc. Have the circuits on them when you click into them

Day and night sensor keeps it on all day, whether they are in there or not
Do heaters on the switch’s as well
Definitely. Concept is the same! Not something I do personally though
I builid first generator, make connection do fridge and noone working. I have fuel and no working. K dont know why
There used to be a bug where the fridge wouldn't connect. Try moving the fridge, generator and pole to a new position and retry
I just bought the game and i was wondering what is the blue light bulb thing for? The one besides the temperature? TIA
Do you mean the day/night sensor?

Not sure as it was a while ago. The series is on the channel and I show it in the first episode usually.

No help. Looking to find how to unlock an electronics you just show us how you do things after you’ve got it, no help
You research it.....

I want to know how to get the stupid diesel generator to provide power! None of these tutorials go over the BASICS, and neither does the game
Place diesel generator, connect to grid. It will provide power
It need fuel my guy ⛽️
