- In this video, Joshua Griffin goes through a step that is important for every HVAC repair to have done to eliminate future problems and headaches. If an HVAC system has a refrigerant or Freon leak, this one step could save the homeowner thousands of dollars in the future. Adding HVAC die to the system could help eliminate problems where the technician cannot find small leaks, a system that has multiple leaks, or simply a system that continues to have problems over and over.

Hello Joshua: That was the best commercial I've ever heard/seen!
Wow! Thanks pal!
I agree with this step our service company would not do it but my brother in law from out of town came and did it he works in HVAC as a repair technician. It worked for the entire season last year but new system being ordered Monday due to same issues again this year. Thanks for this video.
I have a system that's not 10 years old yet. My mom got it and she's no longer here. She would keep papers on everything but this time she didn't. I don't have the name of the person who ordered it for her and installed it. I didn't really trust him much. So now the unit had a leak because it's rusting for some reason and had a leak even though it's not even 10 years old.
He was kind because as high as the cost of refrigerant is right now he put some in the unit for free because he knows I can't afford putting a unit in. The thing is.... How do I know how long it will last? Ya know.
UV due with leak seal. I offer it like candy. I didn’t want to pin point the leak, I’m buying the customer time and money. Hey it might work
Units come pre charged. They should have dye in them to cover their buts. Maybe not then find out it’s their fault.
My check of a low refrigerant charge is 1 of 3 options unless it's visible via oil. Charge and go... no warranty and no guarantee!. 2nd would be a leak seal attempt with a 50/50 chance with no guarantee but warranty for leak seal cost. 3rd would be leak search and recharge. If repair is gone with for leak, no further charge after leak repair and pressure check if further leaks present. We currently don't use dye and I think it's because it b use to clog txvs or so said anyway!
That used to be our three options. We called it the four options with the fourth option being replacement. Customers with lots of issues would go with the fourth option. I’ve never heard of dye clogging a TXV. Leak seal wouldn’t be more likely to do that if there’s moisture in the system.
😂 literally 😂, meanwhile, most leaks are pretty obvious to an experienced competant technician. Adding dye or sealants is literally a joke.
