  • Visit www.leftcoastc... to see this 1970 Porsche 911T from Left Coast Classics in Sonoma California.
This 3-owner 1970 Porsche 2.2L 911T Karmann Coupe for sale was produced in July of 1970, originally finished in Albert Blue with a Beige/Tan Leatherette interior, and delivered factory equipped with Comfort Equipment & Tinted Glass. It includes a plethora of recent service records and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 2.2L starts and runs with plenty of power, smooth shifting, tight suspension, and responsive braking. At the time of purchase, the previous seller noted that since 2012 it had been maintained by Poudre Sports Car LLC in Fort Collins. Its second owner was Master Porsche factory trained classic technician, Dave Petitti who serviced the 911T since acquiring it.
At that time it was also serviced with new chain tensioners, chain wheel, chain guides, valve covers and gaskets, horn button plate, brake master cylinder, new pedal assembly bushings, brake flex lines, fan belt, shift shaft seal, new window cranks, hood struts, and new driver door check strap.
The 15" Fuch wheels look nice and are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta LX 205/60R 15's with 90%+ tread remaining. The floor was completely replaced from the front of the car to the rear window due to a few small soft spots, (before photos available upon request). Inside is tidy, mostly original, comfortable, and in good working order.
It was purchased by its current California owner in 2017 showing 65,100 miles and now reading 66,355. We do not know if it has turned. (There was an odometer failure at 65,112 in December of 2017 that was repaired in March of 2018).
Since purchasing the current owner has spent an additional $38,000 including but not limited to a new set of PMO Carburetors (original Zenith carburetors included), ignition control unit, coil, wires, points, new motor mounts, tie rods, shocks, shift bushing, tires, and much more. At the time of purchase (about 1,200 miles ago), a compression/leak down test was performed, these were the results:
    Cyl 1. 11% leakage 140 compression
    Cyl 2. 5% leakage 155 compression
    Cyl 3. 8% leakage 151 compression
    Cyl 4. 12% leakage 140 compression
    Cyl 5. 8% leakage 158 compression
    Cyl 6. 13% leakage 142 compression
The rust-free exterior appears to have an older, nice quality color change to black. It is smooth and clean all around with some minor wear and tear and a couple of anomalies in the upper right-rear fender area as shown in the photos. It has mostly original trim, lenses, badging, and glass and presents well.

If it has bubbling paint like this does, it isnt rust free. A misrepresentation that reduces the seller's credibility.

I bought a 1970 911T and owned it for 14 years, sold it for 8700, to a freind, Mine was Irish green, black interior, 4 speed, ( i didn't like the 5 speed shift pattern) chrome wheels appearance group amfm sterio. I left it completly stock, but added Koni shocks and struts, and abarth muffler...My freind's thought I was nuts to pay 7k, but in the end, they were jealous!

Nice car and video. You seem very knowledgeable. Which of the 911T models are most and least desirable among collectors, all things being equal? Thanks!

In your video you mention the good handling of this lovely 1970 911T, but all we see is you driving it on a straight stretch of road, which is a bit of a shame because a 911 is made for turns and twisties. Any car has good handling on straight stretches of road. Where is the interest ?
