First love, you never forget her, my 1971 1600GT Mk 1 Capri. Red, chrome wheels, noddy dog and a horn that played Dixie, pool ball mounted on the gear lever, nothing but trouble, but would have her back today in a heart beat.
@formula112967 Errm in England...good old Blighty, we have a lot of twisting winding roads and so cars with nimble handling are the order of the day. Hence why the Peugeot 205 GTi and 306 2.0 XSi and GTi were so well liked; a decent amount of power fed through a great chassis that cornered well etc. American cars are only any good on long straight roads with your foot down on the pedal and nothing to do. I'd take a great handling hot hatch or Porsche over any American muscle car anyday!
@b18c4 I don't want to sound rude, but did you ever own any cars worth speaking of? Maybe a '71 HemiCuda, or a '69 Yenko or Copo? Maybe a 1970 Super Cobra Jet Torino or Mustang? Greetings back to ya from the land of the Musclecars, America....
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any more....:-((
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. My first car, and I still love them today.

@jamie88694 best selling import car in America after the vw beetle, priced slightly dearer than the mustang
Nice cars but a bit cramped for shagging. Enter the mk3 Cortina so much space. And no foot prints on your windscreen.

Where there's a will there's a way.
