Then I put everything back togother until the lit had to be closed the problem occured that the red wire came loose and I couldn't get the lit back in its place afer alot of trying it came loose hence my problem. Is the watch beyond repair or it still possible that if I reattach the battery to the circuit board the watch will still work? I orded mine from another store based in EU (where I live). I asked the shop if they will be able to repair it or not. Garanty is avoided anyway so. Thx for answering if u have time.
+Jos V --- It can be difficult soldering the wire back on to the circuit board. You have to be extremely careful not to move either the black or red wires too much when operating on these watches. Otherwise they can pull free (of course you already know this first hand).

Thanks a lot! Your video was very helpful! My friends watch has 4GB and red stitches on the bracelet. Inside, the camera mainboard has no screws, just thermal glue! I think with a small tip soldering I'll be able to remove the glue, then I'll remove the mainboard and change the watch's battery.
qwanom The inexpensive 480p watches have the main board hot-glued. This is normal. Don't use a soldering tip to remove it, just use firm pressure with a tiny flat-tip screwdriver to pop it up. Be CAREFUL not to scratch the circuit board! You should use hot-glue to re-install the board. Make sure you insert the USB stem into the watch, THEN glue the board back in, otherwise if you glue the board in first, you will most likely find the USB opening is no longer aligned and you won't be able to insert the USB stem into the watch!
I used a cheap rework soldering station hot air gun to remove the glue. later I will look for some screws from old watches, maybe they will fit. For now I placed back the glue. Thanks a lot for your answer!

you did not explain why don't solder in the board to remove/replace lipo battery. if you are average tech then you can solder it and avoid to short the two terminals.
There are dozens of things I talk about in my videos, and there are thousands of things I do not talk about in my videos, for many reasons. One of them is video length. To answer your question, if you have the skills to solder directly onto the circuit board, then go ahead and solder directly onto the circuit board. I have tons of experience soldering, yet I have not had any success in being able to solder directly onto the board. I have tried a couple times, but the pads are so incredibly tiny. So I failed at my few attempts at it. The easiest way is to leave some length on the wires from the circuit board when you remove the bad battery as you see in the video. It is much easier to solder two tiny wires together than it is to solder a tiny wire onto a circuit board. Then you just use a tiny piece of electrical tape on each soldered wire joint. What I do here is cut out a tiny piece of electrical tape measuring about 1/4" x 1/4" on the small end, or no bigger than 3/8" x 3/8" if you want to make it larger. Then you fold the electrical tape once over the soldering joint. Imagine the tape as a hard taco, and the soldering joint as the meat and cheese. So fold over once and then press tight. It end up leaving a flat "flag" shape that will easily flatten down over the circuit board so you can still close the case when finished. I actually am going to solder a battery in right now. I will post a photo of the finished product if you like. Let me know.

Finding a Camera battery can be tricky, because it has to be the right shape. First, open your watch. Then, see if there are markings on the battery. Some of them may say "3.7v 180mah" or "200mah". They will all be 3.7v, so it is just a matter of getting the right physical size. I just did a search on eBay for "3.7v 180mah" and got a few hits. There is no set way to find one, so you have to do a little digging. They only cost a couple bucks, so if you buy the wrong shape/size, just try again. The smaller 720x480p watches generally use a 180mah size. The better 1920x1080p watches use a 200mah size, maybe a bit more. It's hard to tell because the capacity is not written on the battery.

Great tutorial. I've changed the battery in mine twice now. Got a problem though, both the red and black wires from the lithium battery have come off the circuit board. Is there anyway to test which one is which?. If I take my chances (50/50) will it damage the camera or will it just not work? My watch is similar internally but not identical to your demo clip. The CD which used to ship with these watches is not even needed. There is nothing on there you need to operate your watch normally. Windows 7, 8, 10 all have everything you need to operate the watch and download the videos. Let me ask you a question: What are you trying to do with the watch that you feel you need the CD for? Let's start with that.
My watch stopped working and just when i was copying the recorded file on the computer .It didnt copy it full and windows just said that Usd device not recognized. And lights on the device are turned on both red and blue and i cant turn off device or do anything with any buttons. And i dont see a reset button or hole. Is it possible to retrieve the file from sd card by taking watch apart and putting sd card somewhere else? Will reset help fix the watch? thanks
If your watch has malfunctioned to the point to where you cannot retrieve the files via the USB port, then simply open the watch, remove the microSD card, and then plug that into your computer with a microSD card reader. Then hopefully the files are still there and readable. Usually they are there, and you can read them no problem.
I have a Diescl spy watch that stopped working. When I start recording it turns on the blue led I turn on the red night vision led, but when I put it to charge, it does not blink the blue / red leds and I can not even read on the PC. I received this gift the October 12th and it worked very well, until 2 days ago. It sounds like there is a problem with the I/O port, or it needs a new battery. Does the watch turn on after charging, and stay on as you take video, etc.? If so it is not the battery, but the I/O port has malfunctioned somehow possibly.

Frait Stin What you have described is caused by two things: 1) Your internal card is FULL! Delete files to make room for new ones. 2) Your internal camera battery is DEAD! Follow the instructions in this vid to replace it.

I do not have an order for Joe Mensah in the last 90 days. Who did you purchase the watch from? Another seller? I may not have an answer to your question unless you purchased from WATADEEEL. Even if the watch looks the same, it could have been produced in a different factory, different firmware and components.
No you do not have to re-install any software, absolutely not. You can swap it out all day long. It works with Class 4 up to 32gb, but not sure if higher class cards (i.e. Class 10) will work. Never tried one! It's just a camera, with a USB 2.0 interface. Just like you can put just about any microSD card into a camera, you can do the same with this watch.
You do not need to install any software at all. This watch and every single other one I sell has an interface that is as simple as a thumb drive. Everything that causes the camera to function and record video and interface with the computer is located directly on the motherboard chip, yes.
The LEDs will change state when it is fully charged. So depending on firmware, usually when it begins to charge you will see both red and blue LED on. When the charge is completed, the blue will go out leaving only red. Thus, the LED state will have changed. So on your watch, no matter what the firmware, watch for the change in LED state.
Did you purchase from us at WATADEEEL? If you have a clone or copy from another seller I probably will be unable to help you. Probably a bad watch or a bad battery.

I would be careful about going too crazy with the microSD card replacement. Some devices are not forward-compatible. Class 10 might even be too high for it. It's hard to say, though. THis is a newer watch style, so maybe class 10 works fine (the Ultra cards I mean).
i have also seen the Samsung class 6...pro or something...dident cost as much as the other :) i just wana see what give me the absolut best kvality video...couse im gone take out the internals og on watch...and make a camera...make something with more IR lights and stuff ;) maybe better batterypack and so on... so the maximum of the sd card is importent to me.

Uh oh. If the watch was broken, there is not much to be done about that my friend. I am so sorry. Just like any other electronic device, you must treat it with reasonable care. If the microswitch inside has been broken, that cannot be fixed. You simply need a new watch.
A more important question is: Did you buy from WATADEEEL on eBay, or did you buy at a cheap price from one of those "other" sellers? That is the question.

Pressing both function buttons at once and holding for a second or two resets the watch.

Yes just simply formatting the internal memory chip by right-clicking on it and choosing "format" can easily solve lots of apparent problems.

@@watadeeel bought it from.Lazada few days now. The watch is ok it's still running smoothly. Only when i turn the watch on it doesn't response anymore. Maybe the battery is drained.

No you will just get a whole bunch of extra space that you will probably never use.

I am not sure what a duty free shop is. I am not sure what the problem is with your watch. So sorry you didn't purchase from WATADEEEL on eBay. Please be careful to always buy from sellers with a good reputation on eBay.

I do not have an order for Joe Mensah in the last 90 days. Who did you purchase the watch from? Another seller? I may not have an answer to your question unless you purchased from WATADEEEL. Even if the watch looks the same, it could have been produced in a different factory, different firmware and components.
well the watch is an HP/DVR watch 32 G sd card ( a gift from a friend.)

If you change the SD card do you have to reinstall any software?
No you do not have to re-install any software, absolutely not. You can swap it out all day long. It works with Class 4 up to 32gb, but not sure if higher class cards (i.e. Class 10) will work. Never tried one! It's just a camera, with a USB 2.0 interface. Just like you can put just about any microSD card into a camera, you can do the same with this watch.

You do not need to install any software at all. This watch and every single other one I sell has an interface that is as simple as a thumb drive. Everything that causes the camera to function and record video and interface with the computer is located directly on the motherboard chip, yes.

How do I know the watch is fully charged
The LEDs will change state when it is fully charged. So depending on firmware, usually when it begins to charge you will see both red and blue LED on. When the charge is completed, the blue will go out leaving only red. Thus, the LED state will have changed. So on your watch, no matter what the firmware, watch for the change in LED state.

What type of Micro Sd card wil be the absolut best... i have been looking on a Sandisk extreme 32gb bla bla...80ms... that is the absolut best card i found... wil that be overkill? what is the best i actualy need for the best video?

I would be careful about going too crazy with the microSD card replacement. Some devices are not forward-compatible. Class 10 might even be too high for it. It's hard to say, though. THis is a newer watch style, so maybe class 10 works fine (the Ultra cards I mean).
i have also seen the Samsung class 6...pro or something...dident cost as much as the other :) i just wana see what give me the absolut best kvality video...couse im gone take out the internals og on watch...and make a camera...make something with more IR lights and stuff ;) maybe better batterypack and so on... so the maximum of the sd card is importent to me.

Uh oh. If the watch was broken, there is not much to be done about that my friend. I am so sorry. Just like any other electronic device, you must treat it with reasonable care. If the microswitch inside has been broken, that cannot be fixed. You simply need a new watch.

No it's okay. I get this all the time. People buy a clone watch that looks identical to the ones I sell at WATADEEEL on eBay. They pay less, but the watch they get is below standard. There are several competing factories in the east which create copies of the original. Please buy from WATADEEEL next time to ensure you are getting a quality Spy Watch!

Hey, i brought SPY Wrist Watch HD 1280x960 Digital Video Camera Camcorder for xmas throw ebay. i dont know how to used it. when it finished charging the watch (flash blue). I unplug it and light light stay (red and blue) till the battery run out. i try clicking the 2buttons from the side of the watch and nothing seem to happen and still stay on (bright red and blue). Do u know what should i do? or whats wrong with it? PLEASE HELP =(
