Every year, mysterious bright white lights appear in the night sky over the desert town of Marfa, Texas. Could they be ghosts or UFOs?
This weekly storytelling series uses the imagery of photographers and adventurers around the world to give us a deeper connection to and understanding of the human condition.

I've seen the lights! My experience was about six or seven, moving back and forth very slowly and flickering right on the edge of the horizon. I actually spotted them while peeing on the grass (I had to go really bad) off to the side of that site. There was six or seven flickering occasionally right on the horizon, colored blue, purple, pink, and green. Definitely not car lights and if you think that you haven't seen them.
Captain Redbeard thats pretty cool. Sounds like those B.O.L.s that were talked about years ago.
Nope car lights, google Min Min lights.
I saw them a few years ago, watched them for over an hour....and I can absolutely agree... they are NOT car lights. Students, scientists, and people from around the world have seen these lights and they have no particular pattern that they follow and they can randomly shoot in multiple directions. The coloration also varies. The fact that that they can move very, very quickly also makes it seem just too impossible to believe that they could be some sort of automobile light reflections. The information at the local museum has lots of information about how theory after theory has been dis-proven....To date, nobody knows what causes them...
@@j.yossarian6852 that's how they call them in Australia don't they?
@@astephanie5004 the ones that appear at Min Min anyway.
So absolutely no lights were captured in the film. Thanks jerks

Jonathan Zedda You've got some great pictures man! Hopefully your post goes up to the top so more people can see them!
TheStevoh1 thank you man! hopefully! :)
Hey Jonathan, google Min Min lights. Mystery solved!
I've been to Marfa and seen them. If you go to Marfa in their town city/museum they have a VHS tape that explains the lights, but they are still fun to watch.
Atmosphere acting like a fibre optic tube right?
Like with the Min Min?
If you can get to Marfa, go! Totally worth it.
This is probably one of the most random-ass places in the US and +Casey Neistat was just there for a wedding. That is wierd.
The town has a good pizza joint.
West Texas ah it's the best area of the state.
Midland Odessa big spring to be exact
electromagnetic plasma, with intelligent playful behavior, first seen by Spanish explorers in 1617.
i have a ww2 airforce training book from marfa. nothing about the lights but still very interesting.
We get these in the Australian outback as well, we call the Min Min lights and unfortunately they're only car lights.
We definitely know that they're car lights because scientists have been able to recreate the phenomena.
These have been reported before the invention of cars, though.
Same in Aus. Wagons with lanterns.
space aliens with phasers
I have discovered the reason for the Marfa Lights, their ties to Nazca Lines, and fought the FAA to allow viewable Altitude flights over the Marfa area, there are NAZCA style Lines and Geoglyphs all the way from Alpine to Fort Davis & South to the Border and beyond, use my name to link to my channel as I can't leave a link (blocked?)
Huh?
So, just for clarification. Are there photos of these 'lights' is in this video about 'Mystery Lights'. I can't tell if the pics they showed are just representational.
Travis MacMillan The clip of 'lights' in this video were purely for entertainment, but images and video of the Marfa Lights do exist. Unsolved Mysteries did a pretty in depth look at them, if you can find the clip.
They are not hard to see I live in Texas they are there almost every night
Ok, you're gonna tell me that helicopters haven't flown out there to investigate upclose while they happen? We have drones now anyway so someone with a drone get your butt out there and find out what it is!!
"It’s probably safe to match speed with the mysterious lights in the sky, as whatever entities or organization is responsible appear to be cautious and reasonable drivers...
And now, the weather."
That's because they're also car lights, google Min Min lights.
I live in Texas I want to see this
So, go!
Please don't put dark music in these types of vids I have nightmares...
Pulkit Singh. If you get nightmares from this you need help.

Casey Neistat was at Marfa a few days ago O.O Too bad he didnt see anything couldve vlog it :c
this world is strange!!!!!
Also see Saratoga Ghost Light
Who else is here because we saw that Caisey Neistat went here recently?
Who?
Been there, done that! I haven't seen the famous "Green Flash" but I have seen the Marfa lights. Yes, there are occasionally some cars coming north up on the mountain, and you see their lights. These are away to the West from the Marfa lights, and you can learn to distinguish these from the mountain road car lights. Worth seeing Now, since I'm a nice person, I will explain Ron Eagle's "Marfa Lights Theory" to you. Humbly and without charge. They are manifestations of piezo-electric activity from quartz deposits present in the desert soil. Usually somewhat more active during periods of higher moisture content in the area. But not always. You are welcome! :-)
So there was an explanation...
Good news is, ITS NOT CONCRETE
These lights have been seen well before the invention of cars - back in the 1800s . So either they are a natural phenomena or other worldly
