    ABOUT:
The First exists for the massive group of Americans whose voices have been ignored. The people who are passionate about American values, aren’t afraid to engage big ideas, and who care about where the country is headed. The people who are conservative in their views but aren’t beholden to any party’s talking points. The independent thinkers who rely on things like the facts, context, and perspective to inform their ideology. The people who, although they form the backbone of this country, have been cast aside by the politicians and the media.
The people whose beliefs and values are increasingly being cancelled. They are why we created The First. You are why we created The First.

Until there is a consensus or come to Jesus' moment with the GOP my wallet remains closed. No war including the Ukraine war was won by just being defensive. President Trump I will always support.

Was there anything else in the bill that triggered that dissent?

All politicians or most ones are there for egotistical reasons. One of the reasons Trump has more enemies. He is egotistical, but he sees a larger picture on the long run.

I see nothing wrong giving money to Ukraine I just want intense scrutiny of where the money is exactly going. Also what’s the end game and what does victory look like? How long will this take?

You're simply uninformed. Ukraine has lost 500,000 men! Ukraine is destroyed! Ukraine has no chance of winning! Sue for peace and save a nation and contain Putin with American military and diplomatic strength if we have any left.

I've parted ways with that faction of the GOP if I was ever there. In fact I held my nose and voted for Trump several times. That faction, though they may vote conscience, have no intention of ever talking to or trying to reach consensus with anyone else. And I'm glad half the republican party voted to support Ukraine. And though I'm long in the tooth, I hope at some point in the future the GOP finds its equilibrium. I am what I am.

When does austerity for the government get to be part of the consensus? When do budgets go down in all the negotiations because its never happened.
