LEDs always require a resister in series. If you want help with some electronics feel free to shoot me a message. I love adding electronics to projects but sometimes figuring out how to get them to fit or operate within the model or diorama is half the battle.
I was thinking, instead of the "energy weapon" you were working on, how about mounting the motorised Gatling Gun you built previously? I reckon it looks about the right size for this combat robot, and it would look SOOOO MENACING!! Keep up the awesome work!
@Cut Transform Glue great build, I love it. My suggestion though is that the feet need toes , as it more believable that the toes would help for stability when walking I'm my opinion.
The feet came out awesome!! Love that little side leaning pose. Also, the missile pods are fantastic. Can't wait to see how you tackle that energy weapon.
That gun is so huge, I image a mech would be designed around it (like the A-10 around the GAU-8). The mech looks pretty "saturated" already. Maybe a small RCWS offset on to, or below against anyone trying to sneak up. Might also need some kind of sensor on top to guide the missiles, which could be combined with a gun.
I am enjoying see your robot come to life, thanks for sharing your passion and hard work, if I may make a suggestion with the weapon you created, you could mount it on top as a two barrel turret, just an idea I imagine you have a plan cant wait to see what you come up with
Not all LED’s need a resistor…..some have it built in. They also can have a flasher built in. In either case just apply DC power. I use them in my models all time.
Looks menacing already! Great work! In my opinion, the big double barrel gun would look cool on top of the main body of the mech! But that might of course be a bit too symmetrical given your track record ;)
Amazing! Everything is coming together smoothly. If you don´t mind my saying, you should add some "toes" or enlarge the feet of the robot so it looks more balanced. Just my thoughts.
I can't see it. gekko doesn't even have a wast joint. It legs start from a foward position in a bisected sub assembly that connects directly to the main body. Plus it has a head.
MORE COMBAT ROBOT VIDEO CRACK! give me moreeeeee

that robot is screeming off-center top mounted rail gun to me!
Loving the flat shape! I'm also a sucker for sharp edges and squares over complex curves. Well done!
If ED-209 and Metal Gear Rex had a baby it might look like this cool mech/robot!
Always fun spending hours on a weapon and then deciding not to use it. Been there too.

This is top tier scratch building. Love it.

bro u deserve more subs the stuff u build is insane
I thought for sure you were going to add toes on the feet vs. the white pieces.
Kind of like ED-209.
You should curate and sell acrylic shapes boxes…. I’d buy a ton of them

Really enjoying your process. You do an excellent job of explaining your choices throughout the build.
You should give it arms so it can carry a huge gatling gun!
It seems like both missle pods should be on the same side and balance out the gun on the other.
I don't build static models, but I really enjoy watching your work. Sent a few bucks your way. Hope it helps.

That looks really cool man. I've also been creating some of my own DIY tutorials that I've been posting on my youtube page.

Bonjour CTG, le canon sur le dessus du robot 😃...
Great build. greetings

might be better as a top turret
You shouldn't point the laser at the camera, it can potentially burn the light receptors on it

How about putting a Ram of some description to the back of the feet/legs to support it when its firing the earth shaker cannon?
agreed, that the weapon is too round for the rectangular drone
Yo that's dope af!
The weapon looks cool enough, all you need to do is to add more stuff/details on it to fit the overall design of the mech.
MGS 4 Guns of patriots GEKKO...

Definitely a Metal Gear
