    Hi. When i made the profile A, it kept giving errors that there were no loops when i tried uploading it to my family, and i could not get beyond that stage.

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  Місяць тому

      Hi there. That simply means some parts of your lines are not connected. When you see the error, click on show, and it will highlight those open parts for you.

    also, is it possible to only do an extrusion on 3 sides? I have a window with a flange on all sides except the bottom. Thanks

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  Рік тому

      Sure You can. It is exactly like this, but you need to add more profiles around the main part. First draw it on AutoCAD or even on a paper and then try to model it in Revit.

      @hu5tle- 11 місяців тому

      @@RVTPLUS I don't have or use auto cad. Not 3 sides of the profile, 3 sides of the window.

      If you watch the video again, you will see that first we draw one side of the Window, and then we repeated it for the other part. You need to do the same for any part that you want to add. You can separate different parts with References and Parameters.

      @@RVTPLUS It looks like you have a window with more than 1 pane. I'm talking about a single paned window. See here >>

      Well, it seems like you do all the parts correctly. Just instead of deleting the bottom part and drawing another one, First copy the sweep on itself and then delete the bottom part in one of them and in other one delete the other left and right and top part. This way their placement will be correct.
      But if I you do that, I think you will have extra parts where they reach to each other, so to fix it you can use Void Extrusion. Draw a cube and rotate it 45 degree and then apply it to both bottom corners. You must have 4 of them. Two for both sides of bottom part. One for the left side and last one for the other part.

    @RVT PLUS - do you know how to avoid a double profile in the middle?

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  5 місяців тому

      By creating each loop individually and ensuring they are closed, you can resolve most of the errors. If you provide more details about the issue, I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot further.

    What if the bottom and lower have the different section, how to fix that

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  7 місяців тому

      Well it could be possible if you consider the placement of the glazing in side the new profile.

    Ugh. I keep getting a "can't create sweep error".

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  Рік тому +1

      Try to draw lines in one continuous loop and make sure they are long enough. Too small fillets also might cause this error.

    • @hu5tle-
      @hu5tle- Рік тому +1

      @@RVTPLUS will try that. I tried deleting all of my internal ones, but still no luck with that path.

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  Рік тому +1

      I know it could be frustrating. Check if all of different loops are closed and trim them to be sure. Sometimes the error could be because of only a point. Also before using it in the main path test it on a straight line. I hope it works this time.

      @@RVTPLUS new question. Is there a way to apply a fill pattern or pattern to any of the line elements I create? For example, of an insulated component.

    • @RVTPLUS
      @RVTPLUS  Рік тому

      We can create lines with special Patterns, and also we can create the pattern itself too. If you want to change a line of a component, you can go to its category and change its line type or select it and from Modify tab and View section click on Override and change the Line Type. This video might also help.

    I had to give up on this video as the narrator way too frequently just clicks through various things without saying what they are doing so you have to back up over and over again to follow the exact sequence of steps. It was frustrating.

      I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble following along - I understand how frustrating it can be when instructions aren't clear. I appreciate your patience and will make sure to double-check my video's clarity, providing more detailed explanations in the future.
      Meanwhile, I want to reassure you that those parts where I was moving quickly were just repetitive sketching, and I'll make sure to add more thorough explanations before and after those sections.
