@@waronwoke glad to have a civil discussion with articulate words mate.
Shaw accomplished quite significant goals. In the interview itself, it shows how Shaw was consistently pragmatic, and worked well across the aisle. He was highly thought of by all parties, and had a great personal friendship with National’s Todd Muller.
Together, they formed the Zero Carbon Act.
Clearly a leader who worked well with others, and achieved widespread consensus.

Hey James and Jack, always a treat tuning into Q & A! But I've got to poke a bit of fun here-how come we only hear one side of the environmental debate? I'm all for being green (though not quite sold on the whole man-made CO2 saga), but let's talk about the real eco-villains: the tons of waste from making our beloved 'green' tech like solar panels, batteries, and wind turbines. There’s so much mining involved, it’s like a treasure hunt gone wrong!
And oh, the plastic saga-my favorite! We've got plastic rubbish bags, paper bags lined with plastic, and now this new star on the block: 'biodegradable plastic.' If it's so biodegradable, why does it stick around longer than the embarrassing photos from my high school prom?
Now, for a splash of cold, hard data-did you know that in the last 600 million years, the average CO2 level was about 2,600 ppm? That’s nearly seven times what we're panicking over today. And our quaint Quaternary period? It's seen the lowest CO2 levels, averaging around 230 ppm over the last 800,000 years, peaking at about 300 ppm some 320,000 years ago. Jumping up by 300 ppm could actually boost plant growth by about 46% across various crops. Makes you wonder if we’re missing the forest for the trees, huh?
While we're getting tangled in debates over CO2 and methane, with their levels doing the cha-cha across millennia, let’s not forget the simple stuff. Like why native trees are the bee's knees for sustainable building compared to those quick-fix pines, or how farmers are quietly being eco-warriors by planting flax and shrubs along waterways. Seriously, these guys are the unsung heroes of the green movement!
So, any current readings on CO2, or is that like trying to pin the tail on the donkey at a kids' party? Here’s to more robust, dirt-under-the-fingernails environmental chats on the show. Keep it up, lads, and maybe throw in a word or two for those everyday eco-champions out there! Cheers!

Honestly, at this stage you've got to be a real idiot to not accept Man made Climate Change, . Even Big Oil have admitted it's real and they put a lot of time and money into burying it for decades. Go visit any of their websites- I'll wait.
For you to be willfully ignorant on that single fact, Kinda makes me feel your whole argument isn't rooted in reality. The irony about Conspiral thinkers calling others Sheep is the fact that I see the same tired unproven arguments every time anything Climate related is brought up.
A mark of intelligence is to be able to reassess ones opinions in the face of new evidence and admit you were wrong, Please consider getting with the program.

Farmers will be most likely to move more strongly towards James's climate targets if the agricultural markets want this. The issue is that the biggest voices on the climate thing so far have been idealogues like James and unhinged activists like Chloe. People like this don't come across as people that you can take seriously to build an economic model that will last long-term. Farmers and business won't give them any credibility. Meeting markets on the other hand is normal for business so they will definitely do that. James and Chloe and others are trying to beat farmers and business into submission: no one is going to listen to an oppressor. Change will come if markets change, not if activists throw more abuse. James and his friends ideas for change all involve force.

Methane levels in our air are minimal and their origin is not NZ. More methane escaped from the nord stream pipeline attack emmitted more methane than NZs cows would emit in 10years..
We need chemists involved in identifying the source of maximum emmission instead of minor emmitters.
If you dont monitor methane in the air you cannot make assumptions about its potential increasing impact.
The planet is warmed when infrared is turned into radiante energy when it comes in contact with absorbing {usually dark} objects.
Its why black sand is hot and white sand is not.
Snow and water reflect it and eyewear to block the reflect light are needed.
I look and these new subdivisions to house our gowing population..... They are all black roofed.
These are real measurable local impacts..... Not hypothetical methane bullshit.

If you are a climate change denier then there's no debate that would be valuable. Climate change is scientifically proven to be happening and has been exacerbated by modern civilisation.
