My grandparents were married for 50 years and they always had those simple details that kept them in love. Now that my grandfather died, my grandmother suffers every day because she was truly loved
I wanted to call our wedding off because of a petty fight but he didn't let me , he literally forced me and I honestly thought I hated him at that time as he was forcing me , my family and friends were on his side too and I didn't realize he wasn't forcing but struggling , struglling to keep us together and how childish and stupid I was being . It's been four years and I can't describe how happy he makes me feel each day . Still sometimes hate myself for not treating him right at that time .
The fact that you care so much, I think you will be 🤗 You need to take care of yourself before you can take care of someone else. But usually a marriage is mutual. You don't need to slave for a partner. So don't be selfless. Know what your needs and wants are. Ask for them in an polite way. Otherwise you risk burn out. You must ask your boss for a fulfilling job, or create one yourself. You must create a fulfilling relationship and take care of eachother. Show your boundaries, this way your partner can take those into account. And respect other peoples boundaries.
My girlfriend went away for a year so we had to break up. This year I had the most amazing self reflection and evaluation to find out whatever I did good or wrong with our relationship. I found out that I was never really interested in what she was up to at the time but when she was gone this was the only thing on my mind. In about a month she’s coming back and this video made me so happy knowing that in a month I can undo my wrongs and show her what a real relationship is like. Thanks for reading my story. I just wanna show this to all the older women at my wedding who tell me “this is beautiful but it’s not gonna last long” or “you’re gonna get bored of each other. We’ve been together for six years, married for a month, and we still look at each other and treat each other the way we always have. It’s not about dressing sexy for him, or having him take you out to a fancy restaurant every weekend. It’s about making dinner together and dancing to the music that’s coming from your neighbors house. It’s about looking at his eyes and thanking him for getting me that Asian takeout when I’m feeling sick, and his eyes glow, saying “anything for my queen”. this has to come from both people - as my mum would get my dad the glass of water, cook his favourite meal on his bad days, make sure his towel's warmed up before his shower - he wouldn't ever thank her. There would be little or to no appreciation. No "thank you for all you do" no "thank you for thinking of me". Everything was for granted. He saw that if he was the one earning the most, then financial stability was enough, but it wasn't. My mum had a full time job and raised three children, all by herself. Me, I'll do everything to not be like my father. I thank my boyfriend every time he looks out for me, thank him sincerely for spending time and/or money on me, and he does the same. Don't forget to thank some one genuinely, even if you think it's for the little things. Because if they're that little, then could be easily forgotten anyway.
I feel very bad now about rejecting my ex's cuddles and kisses while sitting at home with her family. Somehow I felt bad for showing my affection to her among others. She was amazing yet now she is gone. I felt like she would love me forever, and that was exactly what made me take her for granted. PLEASE remember that if you truly love someone you should not let your fears and struggles get in the way of your love. Life will not always be easy, mistakes will be made so it's about how you handle those mistakes, it's how you forgive and accept each other's flaws that will lead you to greatness. It’s giving me the remote control without me asking & him making me tea & toast served in bed every morning. It’s doing the grocery shopping wearing a mask in the middle of a pandemic so I don’t have to. We have been living together for 35 years & we get married next month because he’s worried what will happen financially to me should he die of Covid 19. A tiny no frills ceremony, no honeymoon (yet) but our lives have been one long honeymoon. We are not getting married to prove our love but because society makes it damn awkward financially if you don’t. These are a few of the acts that make me love him more each day. I'm married. This is 100% true. When you love someone with all your heart, a nice word from them can brighten your day - just like a bad word from them can send your day spiralling down. Don't let holidays and presents prop up your relationship. They work. For a while. This is definitely what it all boils down to and YOU KNOW IT in your heart of hearts. Find that one person that you may argue with, disagree with, cry with, complain to, complain about, hate! But that SOME ONE is also the person with whom you want to share the rest of your life with. What I mean by that is, let's say you go to some amazing place that you've been wanting to go to - or an event. If you can't enjoy that event or that place without that person then that person is THE ONE. That one other person you can't live your life without. That one person where the most amazing thing could happen to you but that moment would be incomplete unless you are able to share it with them. Your soul mate. I just wish that my mum and dad actually spent time with us by eating at the table with us or just play a family game rather then sit in their room and use their phones, I wish I was also born into a happy together family and it stayed that way for my whole life, I would rather be poor and have a happy family my whole life, I'm pretty sure that people who grow up with two loving parents poor or rich have a better happiness because they know what love is like, I haven't seen my real dad in over three years and my mum yells at me multiple times every day for little things and I feel unloved quite a bit, a tiny pebble can represent how happy I am at home, a lot of the times I feel only my friends care. But when my parents (my step mum and dad) spent time with me I am happy playing a game of uno or something just to spent time with them and talk with them.

this has to come from both people - as my mum would get my dad the glass of water, cook his favourite meal on his bad days, make sure his towel's warmed up before his shower - he wouldn't ever thank her. There would be little or to no appreciation. No "thank you for all you do" no "thank you for thinking of me". Everything was for granted. He saw that if he was the one earning the most, then financial stability was enough, but it wasn't. My mum had a full time job and raised three children, all by herself.
Me, I'll do everything to not be like my father. I thank my boyfriend every time he looks out for me, thank him sincerely for spending time and/or money on me, and he does the same. Don't forget to thank some one genuinely, even if you think it's for the little things. Because if they're that little, then could be easily forgotten anyway.
I feel very bad now about rejecting my ex's cuddles and kisses while sitting at home with her family. Somehow I felt bad for showing my affection to her among others. She was amazing yet now she is gone. I felt like she would love me forever, and that was exactly what made me take her for granted. PLEASE remember that if you truly love someone you should not let your fears and struggles get in the way of your love. Life will not always be easy, mistakes will be made so it's about how you handle those mistakes, it's how you forgive and accept each other's flaws that will lead you to greatness. I hope she finds the love and attention she deserves, and that she follows her heart. I know she will do many great things for the world. I will always have good memories of her. It’s giving me the remote control without me asking & him making me tea & toast served in bed every morning. It’s doing the grocery shopping wearing a mask in the middle of a pandemic so I don’t have to. We have been living together for 35 years & we get married next month because he’s worried what will happen financially to me should he die of Covid 19. A tiny no frills ceremony, no honeymoon (yet) but our lives have been one long honeymoon. We are not getting married to prove our love but because society makes it damn awkward financially if you don’t. These are a few of the acts that make me love him more each day. I'm married. This is 100% true. When you love someone with all your heart, a nice word from them can brighten your day - just like a bad word from them can send your day spiralling down. Don't let holidays and presents prop up your relationship. They work. For a while. This is definitely what it all boils down to and YOU KNOW IT in your heart of hearts. I just wish that my mum and dad actually spent time with us by eating at the table with us or just play a family game rather then sit in their room and use their phones, I wish I was also born into a happy together family and it stayed that way for my whole life, I would rather be poor and have a happy family my whole life, I'm pretty sure that people who grow up with two loving parents poor or rich have a better happiness because they know what love is like, I haven't seen my real dad in over three years and my mum yells at me multiple times every day for little things and I feel unloved quite a bit, a tiny pebble can represent how happy I am at home, a lot of the times I feel only my friends care. But when my parents (my step mum and dad) spent time with me I am happy playing a game of uno or something just to spent time with them and talk with them.
