Usual wonderful song by John Fogerty, an ode to that thing that allowed him to make himself known in all states: the highway. Trait-d'union between music and people "My companion and my friends" say the words. Fogerty we love you! Usual wonderful song by John Fogerty, an ode to the one thing that allowed him to make himself known in all the states: the highway. A link between the music and the people, "My companion and my friends," say the words. Fogerty we love you!
I was a fan of CCR when I was a teenager. Now I am 58 John Fogerty has got to be at least 10 years older. He is the only singer from my era that hasn't changed at all. Rock on John, love ya man.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I think I hear some "Ramble Tamble" mixed up in there. What an amazing song... a 60's rocker that still has the voice of a man 40 years younger and the guitar chops to boot.
What a song, what a singer, what a guitar player, what a man the very great John Fogerty in come to Ireland in May of 2023, the land of his forefathers and foremothers
I just read Fortunate Son, by John Fogerty, he says if there was any song he would play for someone maybe from Mars it would be this song, he believes we are all connected and this song really says it all, first time I have heard it, but since reading his book I want to know allot more about his music after Creedence broke up, I recommend this book of his, His true story of what really happened, why, etc, and it ends with Mystic Highway.
I have always loved CCR since I was a kid. Grew up listening to Fortunate son and I’m in my late 30’s. I didn’t get into John Fogertys solo career. But I knew of some of his songs like “Centerfield”. Im just now finding this song for the first time. And it’s fucking awesome!!!! Can’t stop listening to it.
Solita meravigliosa canzone di John Fogerty, un'ode a quella cosa che gli ha permesso di farsi conoscere in tutti gli states: l'autostrada. Trait-d'union tra la musica e la gente "My companion and my friends" dicono le parole. Fogerty noi ti amiamo! Usual wonderful song by John Fogerty, an ode to the one thing that allowed him to make himself known in all the states: the highway. A link between the music and the people, "My companion and my friends," say the words. Fogerty we love you!
the first album I ever bought was Green RIver. Bought all the others as I could. Here I am at age 60 listening to this with my sons and having a blast looking at them enjoying this master.
Adios
First I want to thank Galaxie TV for playing the song John I was born in 1951 and remember Suzie Q Ive been hooked on your music ever since Im so glad you you are playing this special song I cant get it out of my mind waiting to buy the CD. I have a prediction you will be the first to enter the Rock n Roll Hall of fame and Country Music. Radio in Lexington is missing a good chance to present a excellent song. Keep going John and god bless steve
One of the first songs I learned on guitar was Proud Mary. I was 13 or 14. I'm 56 now and still can't play it worth a damn! But I still love John's music.
Ele é o melhor entre os melhores, barítono por natureza............nascido em 1945 já não tem a mesma potência de tempos passados, entretanto continua ótimo......Parabéns Fogerty..
Yeah, I know. Fogerty is my favorite rock author, vocal and guitar player and I like all of his long songs, but I expected a short simple song that easily, "enters the ear" (like Bad Moon Rising). This song can not be hit. Maybe in the USA, but in the rest of the world can not. But I'll still buy the vinyl version because all duets are phenomenal. Arrangements and production deserve a Grammy nomination. Greetings from Croatia (Europa).
Like the Eagles or John Denver. Still nice. Deja vu all over again. Like Dylan, man this is about Cosmic Consciousness. Have a listen to Elvis Life outta 1971.
Someone mentioned his book Fortunate Son...amazing book..$7.00 at Sam's. He doesn't hold anything back-doesn't mince words..very refreshing; really gives you glimpse into the cuthroat recording/publishing world he had to exist in. Not sure how Julie stuck it out.. she should be considered for Sainthood. I listened to the songs as I read about his reasons for writing them in the book...great experience. This is just one of many I hadn't heard before...I am a "renewed" fan again.
Steve Urbach I must relocate to America. I paid €22 in Netherlands for the book. Your right in his book he gave his vision on the facts. He was very open in the book and I liked the way he wrote it( very simple not very complecated)
I'm relating to those lyrics and very much relating to some of the graphics in that clip. Saw John performing on "The View" and couldn't wait to check it out you tube. Great song writer. x

Just when I think he can't do any better, he just keeps creating one even more brilliant musical jewel.
John Fogerty is the best voice ever.
Still one of the most genious song writers, and singers I've ever heard.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I think I hear some "Ramble Tamble" mixed up in there. What an amazing song... a 60's rocker that still has the voice of a man 40 years younger and the guitar chops to boot.
