    Oh sis don’t worry about the burnt jollof. You’ll find that SOME Ghanaians even burn it a little on purpose as they say that it gives the rice a nice flavour.

    As a Ghanaian who's a big fan of Korean food, I've eaten all the dishes in the video, so I really enjoyed it 😁🇬🇭🇬🇭 And I like the added challenge of them having to make these themselves! Élise is an amazing cook 👏🏿👏🏿

    I love how every culture has a version of “use up your leftovers” dish, usually some kind of stew or soup. It’s great to see how different cultures were forced to get creative with their resources over history and make a dollar out of 15 cents

      But in some instances its a painful reminder of oppression in history. Considering that some korean dishes arose from /literal/ leftovers the japanese threw out when they invaded korea. Similar to how african american soul food also has roots in slavery.

    Awwww I love that she made Ghanaian food but sis did her dirty cus all those dishes are pretty challenging to make lmaoo but she did a great job! Tip on the jollof you don’t cook it before adding it to the stew mixture hehe

    If there are any African grocery stores or little African supermarkets in her area (where their main stuff is either Ghanaian or African food stuff), she could try looking there for the fufu flour. That's what I did when I lived in Florida - I don't think most general grocery stores have it

    ❤❤❤ My fiance is from togo (next to ghana) and I am self taught in korean and I am from America. I eat a lot of korean and Togolese food. I have had all these dishes multiple times. So nice to see these cultured interact. Kuddos to both of you guys because i have yet to make an of these dishes homemade. I use a rice cooker and my boyfriend cooks rice in a pot. 🤣🤣🤣

      I didn't mind the colour, I thought it was okay - she probably used fewer tomatoes than meat broth (as someone else mentioned). I was just worried that it tasted burnt... I find the burnt taste in rice just travels throughout the whole batch, but you're right the Korean food did look tasty and nutritious

      I've heard so many good things about jollof rice that I'd love to try it. Not many West African restaurants in Dublin, Ireland though. Maybe I'm wrong and just have to search a little deeper because we do have a strong Nigerian community.

      @@Nicolacurran1 If you can’t find any authentic restaurants to have jollof rice I would recommend just trying to make it yourself. There are plenty of recipes online for jollof rice, but many differ because different countries make jollof rice differently. I would suggest trying nigerian or ghanaian jollof rice.

    I do suggest eating doenjang jjigae(된장찌개)with a side of rice as it does have a very strong taste that not everyone are used to it
