    I have installed BFG-KO2 235/65/17 on my 2016 Tucson also in white with black rims. Wish I could share a photo. My Tucson is a limited with a bush bars, Led light bar on the grill and lots of other off-road extras. I had them installed the first year I bought the vehicle. Great tires ..Love them! Found more Tucson’s now installing these. Nice ride bud👊

      hey there!! bush bar? like the Bull bar in the front of the grill? you have any problem w/ it scraping the bottom? Not sure which one you got. I would like to get lights on top one day, hard b/c i have a Pani roof, so not sure exactly where the drilling would happen. glad to see another fellow Tucson customizer! take care!

      I have the original grill that came on the Tucson. So I recessed a Kawell 14” led light bar right into the grill and it fits perfectly. Blends in very well and super bright. Changed all of my lights to Led bulbs highs,lows, fogs ,tall etc. I installed a off-road looking black, red and grey exterior add on bumper with Bush bar that’s build into bumper. Good score .It really adds to the front end. Ordered some tall light covers “Jeep style” and plasti dip them black also the lower reflectors are the same. Have Red off-road hooks build right into the rear bumper , that looks like the Jeep Cherokee. Plasti dip all emblems and installed a Yakima cargo skybox plus much more. I will look into a muffler system this spring. Maybe I should make a You tube video of my Tucson and put it online. Keep the Tucson Modz coming, they are a lot of have fun and have a great look. 👊

    I’m going to create my own UA-cam video on here on my channel - only because there are so many specifics when doing this that you need the facts on and I literally just did this ^^ 3/12/22- put 235/70/16 on my 2017 Tucson and it went well - but because I was prepared and had all the things needed to avoid issues and fitment problems. I will put up an Informational video later this week along with some pictures and video of the completed job.
    I am open to answering questions that you may have , as I said earlier there is lots of conflicting information out there and it’s confusing. I will tel you the facts you need to know if you are doing this mod on your Tucson.

    Thank u sooo much for this video! I got a kia sportage AWD.. n i do take it off road alot! N i do push it to its limits.. on jeep n tacoma trails! N i love this car as it conners like no tacoma or jeep ever can! While getting alot better gas milage. Its no match for a wrangler off road but it does well enough n im now trying to squeez the biggest possible tires on it.. n may be even lift it 2 inches with some coil spacers.. (curently 6.8)so +2 inches lift n its already a good enough clearence to go some places.
    Its super hard to find info on making yr city car more offroad friendly .. so happy to see this one!

    2 years later and your Tucson is still a hit!!!! I am considering putting 235/55/19's on the oem 19" rim... It will give the car a huge difference in ground clearance. But I am concerned about performance... Did you experience a huge decrease in accelaration and longer braking distances? Did it lose speed in top gear on hill climbs? Did you ever drive with a oem spare wheel and notice any problems with ABS?

    • @m1cajah
      @m1cajah Рік тому

      @mojive8435 It's a year later - did you do the upgrade for your tires, and was there a performance hit? I'm looking at a 2017 and am concerned about the strain on the transmission and fuel consumption.

    • @mojive8435
      @mojive8435 Рік тому +1

      @@m1cajah Hi there, yes I fitted 235/55/19 road tyres on my stock rims... It drives very nice, ride is softer especially on bumpy roads due to the higher side walls, ground clearance is a bit better. I can't really say there was any effect on performance, but the speedo is now true, and no longer 5km/h below actual speed. I do experience a problem with rubbing on the suspension when I do a full turn, and since I have mudflaps it rubs as well (when turning). But otherwise it looks and feels great!

    Since you only got maybe .6 inches of lift would you say the 29” bfgs were really more of a 28.4” tire? So running a bit smaller than the specs on the sidewall? I just hear they run smaller than the size they claim

      Actually i say .6 bc even tho its 29", thats the diameter. Standing a tire back to back isnt the same as Center to center. once u lock in the tire to the wheel/bolt it in, u have to keep in mind its about .6inchs difference in circumference

      hi there, I did not have any proglems turning.. when i went over bumps going fast (45+mph lets say), u can hear a bit rubbing in the wheel well... wasnt bad tho.. I did end up getting a 1.3mm spacer lift, which helped alot on any bump rubbing and gave it a better stance. but if you just want to run it w/o the lift, you are completely fine. remember my wheel/rims are new and poked out alittle more, might of helped w/ any turning rub.

    Hey brotha, really great video! We just got a 2019 Tucson Night Edition that came with the same 19 inch wheels like the Ultimate. The wife loves the BFG's and I've been playing around with 2 different sizes, 225/65R17 and 225/70R16. I saw the size you got and man that really looks close to rubbing, but I remember in the comments below you mentioned that is doesn't. I wanted to ask if you rub going up or down any driveways while turning because that's the issue my Tacoma had. I really don't feel like trimming anything, that's why I chose to look at the 2 sizes mentioned above. The 17's have a diameter of 28.5 and the 16's are 28.4 inches. Any info or tips are greatly appreciated.

      Hi there! No i dont have any rubbing issues. I've had this for about 5 months and I think i had one rubbing issue, but taht was when i was going 70 on the highway and hit a BUMP and heard it alittle. other than that, no problems. going up and down the driveway, curbs, going up hills, no problem at all. (I drive this car daily to work, a bout 55miles a day, if i had a problem with rubbing, I would of addressed it and got it fixed. ) Check some websites and google tire sizes and input your specifications to see how big the diameter is. Mine are 29inches.. i think, THINK!! you can get away with 30inches but I would feel very unconfident until they are put on and you see yourself. Mine are 235/70/16s so you can use that as a reference. good luck!

      hey there! good question and something I researched myself. So from websites, I was told it would be off 2mph.. even the autobody shop I got my tires changed mentioned it might be off but not noticable. I've actually gone past speed/traffic indicators in school zones and I feel like its not that off, if not at all. like 1-2mph.. not a huge deal that I have problems. Hope that helps. It does make sense b/c the rotations of the tires are technically more since its a smaller rim/wheel.. however the tire diameter is alittle bigger than b4 so it should even out? in the end, like i said barely noticable difference from my experience.

      Yep a smaller 16” rim or a 20” rim size wouldn’t matter as long as the overall tyre height/sidewall is compensated to as close to standard tyre height that was programmed to the car factory.
      I saw one shot you took of your standard wheels up against your ko2’s and they’re very similar height so chances are it’s a fraction off but as you said barely noticeable.
