KEVIN SAVED MY SNAKES LIFE! I’m absolutely amazed at where we are today with this boa in comparison to a few weeks ago. So like Kevin described in the video I feed this boa a defrosted small bunny that she could easily eat without any issue. I'm so glad that boa is showing improvements, I hope she makes a full recovery. That moment with the water moccasin was an incredible example of how snakes aren't just mean scary monsters, I loved it!
I am not hugely into all reptiles, but do like big snakes, monitors, crocs and so on. I love it when Kevin talks about animal husbandry and handles a snake apparently from instinct. His style, is soft spoken…not grating and loudmouth like some others on UA-cam…😉!
I don't think I could ever hate someone who cares so much for each and every animal that comes his way, even if they can be jerks 😂 I love these kind of medical videos and how you teach us so much
The way the surgery has gone so far on the Boa is almost unbelievable. It's amazing! It was interesting to see the King Cobra and even more interesting to hear the results of the bite on the mic. The Water Moccasin is a real beauty. I think I've only ever seen one in a Zoo years ago. From it's body shape and bulky build it seems pretty obvious that it isn't the type of Snake to chase people. Not that many Snakes do except in extreme case. Awesome job with all of them. And thanks for yet another fantastic opportunity to see what you do and to be able to learn from it.
Hi Kevin It is so fantastic you used your knowledge of snakes, and knew what to do, so this beautiful snake would survive. Animals know when some one is trying to help them. I experienced that myself when a friend's dog was in trouble. He knew I worked for vet. The dog had a stick lodged in his mouth. I said get a pliers, and and I will pull it out. The dog did not know me, but did not struggle. I was able to get the stick out , or it would have chocked to death. The dog knew that I was going to help it. 🐍♥️ Cindy
@@cynthialbell521 and they remember to. I knew someone who had a Border Collie whose life was saved by their vet. Some years later they were on a crowded beach with the Dog. The Dog suddenly ran off and the people went after it. Only to find that the it had found the very vet that had saved its life several years before.
'if you knew the real me you would probably hate me' well, we know one of the parts that matters, you care about animals and do your best to take care of any problems that comes up with them... You know that how someone treats animals says a lot about their true character. And quirkiness just adds more to a person, doesn't mean there is anything bad or wrong with that! Keep up the good work, and know that we believe in you!
You’ve given that boa a good chance. Frankly, most vets, even exotic specialists, wouldn’t have bothered to even try. Thank you for sharing despite the potential for negative comments, especially if it didn’t go well. From 100% chance of death, to 50/50 with treatment, to what looks pretty promising for recovery. Thank you even more for caring enough to try.
It’s wonderful to see the improvement in the boa after your knowledgeable intervention. I hope she continues to improve under your care. You treat your animals with such respect. Your quiet and calming voice makes that moccasin really serene.
Kevin, thank you for all that you do. When I saw that growth in that boa's moth, I thought for sure it was going to end poorly. And your grin when the cobra was chewing on Donny's mic cover...LMAO! You really enjoyed that, didn't you?
She made it! Oh yeah she made it!! I'm so happy to see she is still alive and in a much better place than when she came to you. And Kevin...you are such an inspiration to us all, not just on looking after animals but also for learning and reaching for our dreams. Thank you, so much!! Much love guys!!
I was actually thinking it's one of those genes in snakes that leave it dis(a)bled, because it doesn't really move much and its head was shaking side to side sometimes when it lifted it's head. There is some genes bred into snakes because it gives them cool and nice colors. It shouldn't be bred into snakes but people like the cool colors. I doubt they would tell you because they don't want snake hobby to be demonized
The slow sound of that snake breathing while biting the microphone shows the true definition of a cold blooded killer. Even when fighting and being intense this thing is barely breathing and its heart rate probably hasnt even increased lol. Savage little snake. That was really cool to see and hear! Thanks for the video! Good job saving the albino snake!
I am so absolutely amazed with your knowledge and your abilities medically with these animals, especially considering you are not a vet. You outdo many vets I’ve worked for!! It’s amazing, and I love watching these videos!
I am going to cry for that Boa, she is such a good girl I hope all the best for her ! Thank you for helping her Kevin, it really warms my heart so see people with such passion and love for those misunderstood animals!
Kevin, when I was a kid living in South Carolina I used to play in the swamp just off our back yard. I often played in the water where there were water moccasins nearby (I could see them). Not once was I ever "attacked" by a water moccasin or had one behave aggressively towards me. I have tremendous respect for all snakes. I love how you take time to make various situations a teaching moment that is positive. Thanks.
She’s a docile sweetheart and a real trooper! She has got to be feeling so much better & I definitely think she knows you’re helping save her life ❤️❤️
It's very frustrating that there are so few hands on certified reptile vets that owners must figure out the medical aspects themselves but it's good to have the fearless handlers willing to dive in and take on the challenges.
@@sdqsdq6274 I agree. Few have enough reptile training to even attempt a treatment and would most likely recommend it be put down. Hopefully in future it will become a specialized field available to the layman pet owner and not just a rare few who work almost exclusively with high paying zoos. Any veterinary University would benefit greatly from listening to Kevin about both behavior and health (mental and physical) of reptiles
Lucifer, “I keel you, I keel you good”. 😂. Perfect name for that feisty danger noodle. I love how Kevin was laughing at him and Lucifer was doing his best to scare him. Poor Lucifer, no matter what boy, they are gonna love you. 🥰
I love adore how you read and gently handle your animals a true reptile whisperer LOL. But in all reality it's really awesome that you purposely engage their mind in a positive way, very awesome

Its so incredible to not only see your knowledge at work but also your patience and dedication to these animals. Its truly an honor to see you work and to learn myself how to better my ideals of what my keeping should mean to these animals thank you gor qhat you do and being willing to share it with us
I have so much love and appreciation for you guys. The knowledge you share is beyond valuable, and the fact that you don't only show highlights is a great thing. I am so glad that the Boa is doing so much better. I know she's not out of the woods, but she is doing better. That Mic attack though. He meant business!
Congratulations 👏 on the progress with the boa, she definitely looks relieved and has more spirit to her. So nice to see 😁 Love the audio from lucifer on the mic.. fantastic, and a great example to people of his potential!
The water moccasin at 19:10 going: ''aaaw yes, thats really nice. I like you Kevin'' And then at 19:48 going: ''Oh thats good.......theres more coming right?......Kevin? Im waiting?.......'' and ending with a tongue flick as if saying ''Really......youre gonna do me like that?'' Didnt think you could see expressions in snakes but that showed me XD
Wow! By the King Cobra biting on to the mike, you could really hear his growl. So many videos, people mention the growl, but it doesn't come through on the video. It was a treat to finally hear it clearly.
Great job on the leucistic, she looks much better and now has a great chance at a normal life. I know she's not out of the woods yet, but removing that tumor/granuloma was the first step to saving her life. Great job from one animal over to another, keep up the great work Kevin & Crew
Glad to see this working out she is gorgeous and very patient too....virtually no reaction to you messing with her mandable.. opening her mouth.... And even pinching her....top notch temperament on her and once again very insightful.....Kevin is steady dropping knowledge on us
I don't typically get invested in videos because I'm not usually browsing in chronological order, but I was truly hoping for an update on this boa! I commented on the last video with a few ideas, coming from a veterinary perspective, for what this mass could be, and I have to say, this one still has me stumped. Kevin, you've got me digging deeper into snake oral anatomy in my spare time because this is such a strange situation and I would love to see this sweet girl recover. I'd love to get some histology done, but the take-home message here is one that many doctors and veterinarians need to learn - this animal is someone's pet, and practice is different than theory. The treatment isn't for the sake of scientific exploration but rather to find a pragmatic means of saving this animal's life. Since chemotherapy for a snake isn't on the table, removing the mass in the least invasive manner was a logical first choice along with the appropriate antibiotic therapy. While tying off the mass is a bit unconventional in clinical practice, it seems to have worked, and that's what truly counts to the animal and to the owner. I truly do hope this animal continues to improve under your care - she seems like an absolutely lovely, even-tempered snake.
Your friend was smart by taking that snake too u , your a really experienced person, alot of people wouldn't know what to do in a situation like that. Keep up the great work, you saved a really beautiful snake
That close up sound of Lucifer biting and hissing, the sound of him breathing to hiss again. *chef's kiss* It was obviously stressful for the poor guy but what a gift to us.
Awesome as always! Love the medical/first aid type content (shut up Donny). You can look at beautiful animals all day, but to learn about the treatments and psychology that you have learned and use is wonderful!
I love you for your kindness, and love for all animals. The depth of your compassion is obvious every time you help a critter. You must be thrilled with how amazing that snake’s mouth is healing!! LOL! Chewing on microphones produces a grizzly sound. I was imagining it becoming saturated with venom! A lot of angst being released. Thanks for another good vid!
Really enjoying the content, especially loving - the close-ups showing the personalities of the animals; the detail, visual and verbal, of medical procedures; as well as the interjection of specifying questions from the very cute little virtual cameraman :)
You are amazing! You can just see how that boa respects you. Thank you for sharing the journey with us. Also decades ago in high school, that was next to a swamp/nature reserve north of Pittsburgh, we were warned before cross country or any type of outside activity on the trails to watch out for timber rattlers and water moccasins. We for certain saw and heard the rattlers, but never the moccasins. But the school janitor, an avid hunter, had permits to hunt them certain times of the year and always said he was successful. Not sure where their territory ends but they are a little farther north of Virginia. Thanks for all you do!
I have nothing more to say than Kevin you're absolutely amazing. The amount of information and love you have for these animals is out of this world. Thank you so much🖤
Water moccasins are probably the snake with the richest history of "my uncle said" stories of any snake in north America. Their behavior, color change, and reputation for eating other snakes makes them one of my favorites. Compared to their cousin, the copperhead, they are super calm and a much easier snake to hook and move. Thanks for kicking so much ass Kevin!
Really nice to see progress in that boa. She really has a lot of patience with all the work you have to do on her. It would be nice to see a banded water snake next to the water moccasin. I have never seen either in the wild.
I'm not really into snakes, never have been, but I saw the other vid of Kevin trying to help this poor snake, and I was floored by how docile and patient she was. This is really an amazing channel, the new intro is beautiful and I like seeing all the guys that help out there! Love them❤️
Wow, Kevin! She's being such a good, patient girl. Thank you for showing great concern for the animals you care for. Thanks to you, I'm not so fearful of the wildlife I come across in my backyard anymore, with the exception of frogs, which I just know DO have teeth and one's going to bite me on the ankle one day!!!
Just hope she feels better and has a better quality of life cuz that's what's the most important thing that the animal doesn't suffer and it's not in pain!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video and when that snake bit the mic I cracked up !! When I was a child my father would take me fishing at night on a small dock float that was tied to the bank, the water moccasins would swim up to the dock and pop their heads up on the dock- dad always told me not to be afraid and leave them alone that they were just curious. I was never afraid of snakes or lizards so it was fun for me, the only problem was the snakes actually scared the fish away and it would take about 15 minutes for them to start biting again after the snake would leave. Growing up in Tennessee and going fishing on Lake Norris was wonderful.

Water Moccasins - Oklahoma! Grew up around them, rattlers, and copperheads! I got into soo much trouble, for carrying home a baby copperhead, at 13. It slithered into my hand, and I just carried home like that, speaking softly, as it snuggled up, fell asleep. Dad made me let it go, although I got it as a pet for him. We only had issues with a Water moccasin, when we had a leaky faucet on the side of the house, when we lived on the lake, in Mannford. My sister was opening the door, and the snake struck out between us, then back. I realized she was just cooling herself off, I asked my parents to leave it alone, until the next day. Of course, mom and sis couldn't have that. I put my cat into the garage, penned the Shepherd. Never got hurt by one, nor a rattlesnake, or Copperhead. But I did carry a pronged stick, to pin their head down. I also nursed all the injured reptiles in the area, back to health. Lots of King snakes were attacked at construction sites, so if I didn't stop them, we'd begin to have rats. Construction guys killed more harmless snakes - ran from rattlers! Us kids were a tad mean - but these guys killed everything harmless.
What a sweet calm girl and she was taking it like a champ cause she knew you were there to help her get better. I hope she's doing well 🙏 She was/is in the best hands with Kevin and if anyone could heal and save such a snake then it's Kevin. I’m so glad that growth came out the snake looks great so happy for her I hope she heals up the rest of the way and whatever is left doesn’t grow back!
I can't wait for the update video after she sheds. I'm hopeful that she'll recover now 🤞 I would be devastated if something like that happened to my snake.
As a child I remember being on a boat with my family fishing in the bay and a water moccasin just swam by. My family freaked out because I was like 8 and parents first instinct is to protect their children, but I was so fascinated. It was about as big as Tabitha and I remember it so clearly. It just went from brush, swam by, and went wherever it was going. I really do think they get a bad rap but Tabitha has really set a beautiful example of how snakes can be with work and trust. I hope more people can see her docile behavior.
Kevin is an absolute god and deserves major props for all of the animals he’s saved, but hey Donny let’s try to not perpetuate the idea that all normal people can do their own procedures like Kevin. Not everyone has 40 years of experience with sick reptiles.
Kevin, you're amazing with this beautiful snake. Trying to save her life, she understands you're helping her. I've never been around many snakes but seeing how you handle them without them responding Ina defensive way shows just how much you love these animals. Thank you
I once volunteered to help collect some water moccasins for a project in Georgia, but my company ended up not getting the job. All of my coworkers thought I was insane. Even wildlife biologists can be afraid of snakes...
"He hates these cans!" I knew it had to be from The Jerk! Sounded like the only movie dumb enough to have that line. It's been years since I've seen it! 😄
I really love snake's. My dad always said a good snake is a dead snake. But I told him that they had a purpose here so don't kill them. Everyone should live you Kevin because you're such a knowledgeable person and have a great personality. Thanks for the videos.

Reptiles and shakes is a specialty, and most vet s van t do anything for Them.
There are exceptions and so some vet s either nu experience like Kevin had and taught vet s....hé s been educating vet studente nu the wat, and Dome vet s are people who have a seperate training or have reptiles themselves.
But anyway, there are also lot of places here there aren t Manu vers, die to that IT s even harder to vind a good reptiles vet at all.
What a sweet girl. And Kevin's making the effort to explain the medical definitions in a conversational and friendly manner is so awesome! I love the care and love for every creature!
This guy knows his shit, you can also tell how much he loves these animals.
U r kind. K
Its awesome to hear the crunch down and growl when Lucifer grabs the microphone...
That was some awesome video.
It made me wonder, what do you do when a king cobra bites your microphone? You let him.
Rode needs to sponsor Donny.
I don't think I could ever hate someone who cares so much for each and every animal that comes his way, even if they can be jerks 😂
I love these kind of medical videos and how you teach us so much
I love watching Kevin work with his animals. He is so knowledgeable about snakes. Thanks for sharing.
Very kind. I’m just far more pro animals than pro humanity. Those without a voice! K
@@NewEnglandReptileI would much rather be around animals than most humans so I totally get it!!
Kevin is the reptile whisperer...they stay calm and behave because he tries to understand them....Go Kevin
Thank you !!! K
Yesssssss. K
She seems like such a sweetheart snake. Her owner clearly loves her, and interacts with her a lot.
She made it! Oh yeah she made it!! I'm so happy to see she is still alive and in a much better place than when she came to you. And Kevin...you are such an inspiration to us all, not just on looking after animals but also for learning and reaching for our dreams. Thank you, so much!! Much love guys!!
That snake trusts you so so much. You can tell how thankful that animal is to have that thing out of her mouth. I hope she continues to heal.
The patience that beautiful girl boa has is amazing and no doubt she totally trust you, keep up the great work and educational content . 🐍
In the post-apocalypse, I want to be on Kevin’s team.
Haaaaa haaaaaaaaa k
Such a pretty and patient lass, glad she's doing much better now!
I am so absolutely amazed with your knowledge and your abilities medically with these animals, especially considering you are not a vet. You outdo many vets I’ve worked for!! It’s amazing, and I love watching these videos!
I appreciate your kind words. K
I am going to cry for that Boa, she is such a good girl
I hope all the best for her !
Thank you for helping her Kevin, it really warms my heart so see people with such passion and love for those misunderstood animals!
Absolutely insane progress. Honestly stuff like this makes me wish I studied a veterinary course
Thanks.
Thank you!!!!!! K
She’s a docile sweetheart and a real trooper! She has got to be feeling so much better & I definitely think she knows you’re helping save her life ❤️❤️
It's very frustrating that there are so few hands on certified reptile vets that owners must figure out the medical aspects themselves but it's good to have the fearless handlers willing to dive in and take on the challenges.
if this snake goes to a vet , he/she probably tell you it cant be saved
@@sdqsdq6274 I agree. Few have enough reptile training to even attempt a treatment and would most likely recommend it be put down. Hopefully in future it will become a specialized field available to the layman pet owner and not just a rare few who work almost exclusively with high paying zoos. Any veterinary University would benefit greatly from listening to Kevin about both behavior and health (mental and physical) of reptiles
@@sdqsdq6274 cos they know the owners wont want to spend a penny.
Lucifer, “I keel you, I keel you good”. 😂. Perfect name for that feisty danger noodle. I love how Kevin was laughing at him and Lucifer was doing his best to scare him. Poor Lucifer, no matter what boy, they are gonna love you. 🥰
Wow, I love that we can him breathing as he holds on the mic. That was really cool!
Great job with that boa Kevin. I had a good feeling about it when you decided to help it out. A legend indeed!!!!
Who knew "cobra bite ASMR" was a thing. The boa and her improvement is astounding. That water moccasin is beautiful.
I love adore how you read and gently handle your animals a true reptile whisperer LOL. But in all reality it's really awesome that you purposely engage their mind in a positive way, very awesome
So glad I was checking my pro and saw Kevin doing his removal of that awful glandular mass….and how he did it!! Fantastic video…thank you guys for sharing and teaching us all to be kind! ……MORE PLEASE,,,,,,,!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
All these videos are educational but badass at the same time. Thank you!!
Kevin is such an amazing person! The way he acts with animals just love it! So lucky to see it first hand! Thank you Kevin for being such an amazing person! Visting NERD never gets old for me! Great video Donny! 💚
It was awesome to to hear the cobra huff so clear when it bit the mic.
Beautiful, beautiful! I've seen the tie off method go horribly wrong, so the fact that you got it to cleanly fall off is fantastic!
Congratulations 👏 on the progress with the boa, she definitely looks relieved and has more spirit to her. So nice to see 😁
Love the audio from lucifer on the mic.. fantastic, and a great example to people of his potential!
YAY snake!! YAY Kevin!! ❤❤
Donny, thanks for deciding to share this journey. 👏
The water moccasin at 19:10 going:
''aaaw yes, thats really nice. I like you Kevin''
And then at 19:48 going:
''Oh thats good.......theres more coming right?......Kevin? Im waiting?.......'' and ending with a tongue flick as if saying ''Really......youre gonna do me like that?''
Didnt think you could see expressions in snakes but that showed me XD
And even pinching her....top notch temperament on her and once again very insightful.....Kevin is steady dropping knowledge on us
What I see Kevin is a guy who loves snakes and animals and for me that means caring and love
Thank you very kind!!!! K
Kevin is the most amazing reptile keeper and is a reptile vet in all but name. His knowledge is superb.
You are verrrrrry kind. Thank you !!!! K
Another great video! That boa is so sweet, and she obviously trusts Kevin. So glad she's doing better. Lucifer nomming the mic was great too 😁😈
What a beautiful, sweet girl. Thank you for helping her. Hope to hear more about her recovery!
I almost thought that scene deserved to be the title of the video. Very cool the breathing
That is so interesting! When Lucifer attacked the microphone, you could hear him breathing!
Really enjoying the content, especially loving - the close-ups showing the personalities of the animals; the detail, visual and verbal, of medical procedures; as well as the interjection of specifying questions from the very cute little virtual cameraman :)
The Jerk I love that movie "it's the cans he hates these cans" Steve Martin was hilarious
Its amazing to see how she understands that that was to help her. Amazing to see how sensitive they are, even the venimous ones.
So glad that your friends snake is improving💗 Listening to Lucifer on the mic was wild! That was the coolest.
Could never hate you Kevin. I think just the way you do. Animals/people.🐍🐢🐊🦈🦖
Amazing job as always Kevin , Lucifer was enjoying his time and the look on kevin's face was priceless
Love them❤️
Thanks Kevin and crew. You guys are the real deal.
she’s so docile and sweet. bless her
Hahaha!! 😂
Kevin you're awesome!!
"He hates these cans!!" - The Jerk
Classic!! LoL
Never heard of anyone keeping a water mocasines. That’s insane but so cool. Love what you do w/ reptiles.
These guys are so awesome, I had to give my Mr Noodles injections and Kevin was my goto guy on who I wanted to watch to get it right my first time
I'm so glad to see she's improving! Thank you for all that you do
Thanks you for sharing her progress, I hope she recovers soon. You are doing an amazing job

Kevin you are amazing, you saved her life ! Much love to you brother !
So amazing truly your the best in the business Kevin! Vets could learn from you!
Thank u for saving this beautiful girl!!
She looks so placid ❤️
What a sweet calm girl and she was taking it like a champ cause she knew you were there to help her get better.
I hope she's doing well 🙏
She was/is in the best hands with Kevin and if anyone could heal and save such a snake then it's Kevin.
Some are less appreciative like Luzifer, but hey can't make everyone happy 🤣
At least he was able to release some aggression 😆
Much Love 🧡
Lucifer's breathing as he envenomated the mic, shesht! He is a moody teenager lol
That white boa is so patient and tolerant, lovely girl. As is Tabitha
Hello Kevin, first time commenting but, I have been following along for the ride.Nice work on that tumor! Someday I will make it up to your facility for a visit..until then keep doing what makes you happy.
Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.Rock on!
I’m so glad that growth came out the snake looks great so happy for her I hope she heals up the rest of the way and whatever is left doesn’t grow back!
So glad about the progress! I didn't hold out much hope last time.
So enjoy watching help the reptiles when they are ill and explain how and what your doing. Thanks. Kim
U r welcome! Thank you. K
I’m so surprised that she’s so clam with all of cleanings, etc. I am hooked on this channel!!!!
THANK YOU for putting this out; I think the worst part of keeping is having to do procedures on them and you make it look so effortless and concise.
I love them. K
"He hates these cans!" I knew it had to be from The Jerk! Sounded like the only movie dumb enough to have that line. It's been years since I've seen it! 😄
Yup, love Steve Martin!
I really love snake's. My dad always said a good snake is a dead snake. But I told him that they had a purpose here so don't kill them. Everyone should live you Kevin because you're such a knowledgeable person and have a great personality. Thanks for the videos.
