I think painting the walls, columns, and brick all the same color with the antique white or the light tan/beige you had on the wall as a sample test. It would look very sophisticated and lovely all the same color. The texture on the columns is enough for them to stand on their own.

The arch your husband built in the garden room is beautiful and the texture is amazing! I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this room. I always love your beautiful designs. You are beautiful! ❤

The antique white would be beautiful and on the other hand since it is a smaller/special purpose room I think blue-green or green would be stunning!❤❤❤

I love color drenching, and think nothing is better than a sage or moss green for a garden room. And a dark moody tapestry, lots of iron and bronze and plants and art. Candle wall sconces of course. I am sure whatever you do will be love. I just think color has such impact. To me , ivory or creme is so predictable.

Antique white would be beautiful and would give a lot more light bouncing off the walls and would allow your garden room to create focus on your beautiiful decorf you’re putting in that room.

Deborah, thank you so much for taking time to take us on the tour. Everything that you touch is absolutely gorgeous as always.
Loved your purchases, loved your arch - just loved it all and I think you have done an amazing job! I personally love the look of satin white trim with a pale light green wall color for a garden style theme. I think white distressed pieces look beautiful against a pale green color, and it also seems to have a vintage feel to it as well.
Of course you can never go wrong with the antique white either, I'm just more of a color girl myself. But I'm sure whatever you choose it will look beautiful. ❤

Sherwin Williams has THE perfect Antique White color. Many years ago the editor of Southern Living magazine recommended it as the ultimate white to showcase art, antiques, etc. He wasn't wrong! I would color drench the room in antique white and with your talent, "age" the arch, columns, and brick. I cannot wait to see what you do 😊

I chose a Benjamin Moore “Seapearl” in a satin finish with bright white trim and it is stunning. I’m usually the one who goes for deep jewel tones as an accent wall. I’m really drawn to the greens this year, especially “Woodland Lichin” by Sherwin Williams. Can’t wait till we see more of your display settings with your painted pieces and twigs and feathers!

My vote is for either the paint from Walmart or the antique white. If the room doesn't pick up much light any darker colors will emphasize the darkness even more. I'm a girl who loves light so it's a light color for me. 🙂

Hi, I think the lightest beige you have up on the wall, I would step back two shades lighter than that, and that's what I would paint the whole room. Because whatever color you have up there in a Swatch when it's on the wall it looks two times darker in that room. So the latest beige I will go back to Shades and make it that color

I think a pale celery green would look wonderful in that room, but that's just me.. I didn't see the comment about you, there are unhappy people everywhere. if I were forty years younger I would wears eyelashes too. have you thought of putting sky lights in the roof of your porch to let in more light? I'm tying to talk my husband to do that. maybe with a stained glass edge would be petty. love your style, AND YOU. thanks for shaing.

I loved your inspiration pictures. You can use color in your decor to pull that off. I would paint your columns and molding a lighter shade and the walls in a shade darker. That way everything you add to the room stands out. Love the shop with me. So many gorgeous pieces. The storm was beautifully filmed. So happy to hear your husband is doing well. Excited to see you complete the garden room. Archway looks great!
Antique white might favor better due to lighting and nice contrast with the archway. Of course you can bring in color with accessories.
Glad you are ok and Hurricane Debbie missed you. Prayers for those bc of hurricane Debbie.
The cloud pictures you showed were stunning. Your very talented with a camera.
Wow! The Antique store was your style… lot of our styles too.😊 can’t wait to see how all your haul items come together. On the corbel… love the idea of the adding a wood shelf on top and possibly could put a plant on it sometime.

I think the off white would be nice and your plants and pots could bring in the color. I do think painting the brick wall like your other one and possibly adding a green to the wood, would make it a statement area. Painting with a lighter color will also make the room feel lighter and brighter. I’m going to have to check out that store on my next visit to Charleston.

Debra, your so good at painting and putting texture on everything. Knowing you, I’d say to use the dark tan color first, in the texture and fireplace. Then use the antique white to paint over the dark tan texture and brick, and then the rest of the room. It would give a dry brush technique to the focal points while still having the antique white so your plants and accessories will pop! Of course, you’ll do a great job no matter what you do! Love the haul!

Lovely video lovely store which reminded me of when we had our antique shop here in Florida ,We had and sold tons of concrete items nowhere near the price of those pieces ,we also had vintage wrought iron pieces too . .Inside our shop I made different rooms such as shabby chic, beach style ,kitchenware,a corner library area,Ladies vintage clothing ,lots of glassware and China etc .
People used to think we had different booths but it was all ours,We’ve since retired from it but loved going to work.I made an oval shell mirror but I kept it ,I put it in the sunroom at home with a vintage mirror with flamingoes printed on it.
In our two bathrooms we had the ugly builders mirrors which I hated ,my husband had too much remodelling to do so they had to stay .I did get him to frame them out but I still didn’t like them ,I had two buckets of really fancy shells so I glued shells all around the mirrors I also put flat glass beads in to look like bubbles ,I wasn’t really into shell stuff but I must admit these mirrors look tons better .Look forward to your getting on with more work in the garden room .x

Have fun with your new finds. Hope your son heals well . We are in Illinois and had to go to Michigan where our son lives. He had a procedure and being alone, we drove to be with him. I wish he was closer. Hope you and hubby are well. The hepatologist has an office closer so we dont have to drive into Chicago. Hubby just had a 10 yr anniversary of transplant in June and we are blessed he was here to celebrate our 50 th wedding anniversary in July.

Wonderful video! I look forward to seeing you create a beautiful room in your home. I find it difficult to assess color on video, that being said I like the idea of the off white walls and the pillars painted with the warm tan swatch in the middle of the swatches by the pillars. Looking at your inspiration photo, it seemed to be going in that direction. My favorite white is Dune White by Benjamin Moore . It gives a creamy warm tone without looking yellow.. I would paint the fireplace brick to blend in with the wall because of the size of the room. The texture will create an interest. The pieces in the room will become the focus, and I can't wait to see what you put in there. Anyway, that's only my opinion, and I bow to your expertise and likes. 😊Good luck, and enjoy the process!

I just began watching this segment and my mouth is wide open. 😮Your husband did such a fabulous job on the archway. OMGOSH! You’re a match made DIY heaven. Your technique and texture is absolutely beautiful! 🤩 I say go with the off white. You have great design skills and I love what you’ve done so far to your home. I really love the sitting area by the kitchen.
Taking it slow is the way to go in my opinion. It’s difficult to do what y’all are doing in just a day or even a week.
I pray your husband is well. I’d love to meet him on this platform. Please tell him what a brilliant DIYER he is. How wonderful to have a man who can do this stuff for and with you. My husband couldn’t care less. However, his brother is a brilliant craftsman and even decorator. He does the decorating for all holidays.
I do enjoy decorating for the various holidays.
I haven’t watched all of the video so I’ll be back on with more praise. 😊 I love Flea Markets. I love South Carolina. My oldest sister lived in Greenville in the very late 60’s and my fraternal twin sister and I visited in summers. I still remember it. 😊❤

loved the vid! can't wait to see the finished space! you have such an eclectic palette! I love that about you! and as to your questions about the garden room, I personally think you should do the same with that fireplace front that you did in the kitchen/dining area. I love the color in there! It is so rich! you are such an inspiration! I love everything that you do! thanks for sharing! xoxo

I think your garden room is screaming for a rich stone color and a faux stone limewash on the wall and the columns and fireplace should be painted in a distressed fashion the darker of the colors in the limewash. It would look like a garden room! I think of garden rooms as cool stone walls. And you need an indoor fountain in there too!

I love the antique white but I would go a shade or two darker. That’s just me personally. It’s your home and you should paint it whatever color you love. By the way the archway is gorgeous ❤I absolutely love it.
I love watching your channel. I get so inspired by your decorating and DIY’s. I tell myself I can do that painting technique too. Thank you so much for sharing. Love and prayers to you and yours 🙏🏻

Do your brick the same as you did in the kitchen so pretty do the wall antique white and the arch do a teal or green with a dark glaze. Happy painting ❣️

That room is going to be so beautiful. The arch definitely sets off the vibe. Ancient/Modern Fusion. Me and my husband go to Charleston a couple of times a year and we always stop in that shop in Mt Pleasant! I bought three whimsical animal prints among other things...We got on the road and headed back home and I immediately regretted not getting the fox artist. We called them and they mailed it to us! They are great.

Hi Deborah, I hope your husband is in recovery and doing well. I really like the green or white for your garden room. I recently saw a brick home that had been painted a dark winter green on the exterior and it was beautiful. Whatever you choose I know will be beautiful. Have a great upcoming week. 💕

I think antique white would be beautiful. And then you could bring in whatever colors you want with your accent pieces. Definitely need a decorative chandelier in the middle of the room. Love your decorating style, thanks for sharing!

I love thunder storms and just steady rain is so awesome and comforting. I live in California so dont get alot. That garden center was so dreamy. I would have loved those swans. The music perfect was for the garden. Love your videos! ❤. I think there is a welding glue that makes it look like it was actually welded, I just cant remember the name.

I love your cloud footage along with the music you chose. I photograph clouds all the time i just love their formations and how the light looks on them.
As for the paint color in your garden room I would choose a light tone. I'm just not a fan of dark wall colors. The antique white would keep the room airy. Pale blue or green would also lend well to the plants. I think painting the brick and its trim the same as the wall color would be a wise choice. A solid palette against the plants would look great.
I know you have your plans for the arch but I think it looks good as is. It looks like aged concrete.
In a perfect world it would have been buying one of everything at Eclectic Finds. You showed great restraint.

Look at the color ancient marvel by SW. for the walls. It would make plants pop. Brick wall, white with redish clay under as if the white was peeling/chipping off. White on bottom. And of course make the arch look ancient marble! I painted my bedroom that color and it is the most serene color I’ve ever used!

Deborah, out of the many channels I follow on UA-cam, you are by far my very favorite!! I even rewatch your episodes while waiting for a new one to come out. I bet you have many followers that do the same thing.
Regarding your paint color, I have an idea…
It seems to me you always gravitate towards warmer rather than cooler colors. The wood you seem to gravitate toward always seems (to me) to be a warmer color wood.
For some reason, the flooring you chose seems to be a cooler wood tone. That may not be the case - it just be how I’m seeing it.
If that is the case, I would look for the warmest color you can find in your flooring, and try to match it or match a shade of it. Just a thought…
And… I’d like to thank you sooooo much for sharing all of the wonderful, inspiring information you share in your channel. You truly are a Rock Star of Creativity.
    #RockStar ❤️❤️

For the color of wall, i suggest a light natural color. By natural, I mean a neutral tan or a color that coordinates in an adjoining hallway. Follow your design picture! I can't wait to see what you pick and ho you color your new black corbell.
