One of the first things I noticed about the Tucson was its edgy geometric design! It's so unique, sophisticated, futuristic and unlike anything I've ever seen. Lol, I understand the OCD when things just doesn't make sense to you though. Great review!
We just bought one about two months ago and love it so far..We have had great success with Hyundai - been driving Sonata's since 2003. Still have our 2013 with 135K. The review did not mention the warranty which is another factor to consider in your decision making and ours came with complementary servicing for 2 or 3 years. The car rides nice, has great features, is good looking to our taste, roomy enough, quiet enough - just a great vehicle. Took it for the first long rider - 3 hour trip from NJ to Connecticut - was a pleasure..even driving home in pouring rain - felt confident the entire time.
I love the side profile personally. Got my PHEV on order, should arrive in the next few months but I specifically wanted a PHEV vehicle. Very excited for this one.
@@koibito55 yeah it’s hard to get one for sure. I had mine on order and was looking at a 6-8 month wait. I got really lucky, two weeks after I put that ordered in one came up online said it was going to be delivered in 3-4 weeks. I ran down to the dealer that morning and put a deposit down and had it a week later.
The only thing I don't care for about the design is the big Hyundai logo in the rear window. However, some dark tint would tone it down nicely. I have a Tucson Limited PHEV on order.
The design is what makes it unique! I like it because it “IS” different from other SUVs. Most of the other/current SUVs ..pretty much “all” look the same!! I’ll be picking my hybrid limited in a couple of weeks!
@@goochigoochs3836 i bought it on December 31st!! luving it! i’m using the “smart” mode all the time and get better mileage than in eco mode in town . I average (30-34mpg- sometimes a little higher) highway ranges 27-30 mpg .. probably cuz of my lead foot. lol
@@bmrmamma Congratz! You got the top of the line! I have the 2022 FWD 2.5L SEL (just one step above the base SE). However, I am getting constantly 32 MPG 50/50 city/hwy. From Vegas to Los Angeles and back I'm averaging 36 MPG @75 MPH. Before my company went to fulltime WFH, I'm was getting the same MPG from home to office and back @ 75 MPG with 80% hwy and 10% streets. Pure freeway and hypermiling I'm getting an amazing 42-48 MPG @ 70-75 MPH from a non-hybrid engine. I don't drive aggresively because I'm always have passengers - my daughhter and/or my dog or her cat.
Have been researching this a lot and love the gas SEL Convenience with Premium Package. I wish the same config was avail in the hybrid, but it's not, so I think this is the one for me.
Love the new design. Would choose the Hybrid. Once they get the infrastructure in place, then the plug-in hybrid or full EV would become the choice. Waiting for the dealership to get more Hybrids in.
Always been a fan of Hyundais & Kias (currently own both) but the new models are now very pricey so I've opted to go with a RAV4 Hybrid (waited 12 months for delivery in Australia). First Toyota I've ever owned. 🍻
@@norastalgic the 2.0 litre engines in the Tucson are gutless, just not enough power. It's ok as a commuter but struggles up hills and slow off the mark at traffic lights. But I also don't like the DCT in the top spec of the Tucson in daily traffic so I opted for the RAV4 Hybrid but be prepared to wait a long time. I'd love to hear what you decide in the end. Good luck! 🍻

Inflate your tires to 32 psi and it will almost feel like riding a Cadillac. I own 1 2 😊
I just bought one and I love it so much. Definitely worth the money and it’s a beautiful car

Your going to love it. I have had my plug in Ultimate for three weeks now. I have only used 1/8th of a tank of gas.

I love the design of the side lines. Very aggressive and unique.
I love the side lines, so much more interesting than a flat side.
Hybrid. Totally. I'm still leery of plug in anything. Don't care for Toyotas, I think the Tucson hybrid is very likely in my future.
Wanted the hybrid but didn't wait got the limited, more then enough power more then enough features were happy 👍🏿

I’m getting the hybrid limited in December! Can’t wait!
I rented a 23 tucson with a v6, not as many amenities but I fell on love with it. My wife will be driving 1 soon
they dont come in a v6😂
santa fe does😂
Not sure why they did not go with the 1.6 T as the base engine.
Yeah, the lines on the side profile are a little wonky. But in the end, it's not enough to deter me. Still looks like a pretty good car.
Avoid the NA Base Engine & the Limited Trim.
Got limited and love it

Does it use 87 octane or 91?

I would get the hybrid if I had to drive a lot.
