I know this is almost 10yrs old but… you have a good ear and you did this is a hurry. I’ve seen the tabs on this and it being played and very few people get this right… only thing is you slide from the G-chord (E3/A5/D5)to start at the A-chord (E5/A7/D7). But the strumming was good and the click scratching in between to keep the beat. I’m beginner-intermediate and I have a hard time mute-scratching because I hold the pick too hard and I don’t angle and turn my wrist enough
Hi. Thanks so much for your comment and feedback. Holding the pick too hard is definitely going to build up unwanted tension. Try to relax your forearm muscles and move the hand a bit while muting. Don't press too hard on the bridge, just a little pressure should mute the strings enough to get the effect. Hope this helps and thanks again for commenting.
Hi. For the very beginning the strumming pattern is D - D - UDU - DD. This is right before the F power chord and from there it's basically muted Downs. Couple of tips: 1. When you start with the Upstrum always keep your wrist moving. In other words you begin from a Downstrum but DON'T hit the strings, you only hit them on the Up if that makes sense... 2. Always listen carefully to the song before you start to learn it. Once you have it then you can play along. 3. If you need to slow it down that's perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with making your life easier 4. Get the general groove of the song, don't stick to a rigid strumming pattern. Most artists never play the songs exactly the same all the time. Make it your own and enjoy the learning process. Hope this helps and answers your question. Thanks for the comment.
Hi. I'm right handed. This means my right hand is strumming and my left hand is fretting. If you're left handed it would be the other way around. Not sure if this answers your question and if you've seen other videos holding the guitar the in the other direction it was just a camera glitch. Hope this helps and thanks for commenting.

how do you get it to sound like that
Hello from russia, thank you for the lesson ;)
clear and simple thanks so much sub'd
Thank you Eric

Don't press too hard on the bridge, just a little pressure should mute the strings enough to get the effect. Hope this helps and thanks again for commenting.
What I struggle with this song is the rhythm pattern. Could someone explain how the strumming pattern should be?
Unless i missed it what is the strumming pattern for the start
Hi. For the very beginning the strumming pattern is D - D - UDU - DD. This is right before the F power chord and from there it's basically muted Downs. Couple of tips:

Hope this helps and answers your question. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks a lot and great tutorial
so wait are you a lefty or a righty or does the way you hold it even matter?
Hi. I'm right handed. This means my right hand is strumming and my left hand is fretting. If you're left handed it would be the other way around. Not sure if this answers your question and if you've seen other videos holding the guitar the in the other direction it was just a camera glitch. Hope this helps and thanks for commenting.
@@GuitarSongsChannel thank you it definitely did answer the question
Those changes are so fast , i really wish i had an ibanez sometimes
SOMEBODY ANSWER ME!!!! DO I PLAY ALL ALL THE STRINGS WITH THE RIGHT HAND OR JUST THE STRINGS IM HOLDING W THE LEFT HAND??????/
XXXXXXXXRAPXXXXXXX You only play the strings you are holding, however if you are good at muting, you can mute the other strings and strum all of them.
I mqde the exact same mistake by keep going back to 5 when i must go to 3
You are cool
What pick-ups have you got on that guitar please?
...looks like EMG's to me
How would you strum this?
Why not explain rhythm and strumming pattern? The chords are pretty obvious to me but the rhythm and strumming part is what I have problems with.
U should be able to hear it out
Only if I could palm mute
bad arse
I busted first time to song
It doesn't sound right on a pink guitar....
I guess he in standard tuning
Thanks for watching, Harold! Yes, Steve is in standard tuning. :-)
