What are your thoughts on memorizing vs using charts for corporate/cover gigs?

I think it's okay to use chats especially if you have less time to learn material as well as if you don't expect to play that material again... But if you are likely to play that material regularly it value the music to be good, I'd gradually work towards losing the charts... Thanks!
