That's genius made, better than imagine ghost ball. Other things to add that need to ensure cue stroke not too many deflection or wobbling after strike and if that happens, the aiming become useless even we point to right direction but ball just swing few mm because that deflection.
I do get it..I do. What's not so sure...for me anyway, is this. How do you transfer from using these potting aids to not using them? Lets say a sniper wants to improve and starts by fitting a super dooper tele foto telescopic sights to his rifle, and then starts hitting the bullseye every time! What happens after you take away the super dooper sights? A crippled man falls if you take away his crutches! This isn't a criticism, more an observation!
I just use a red ball with a tippex dot on it thats my point of contact 🧐 and il have a go at my struggling angles ...too thick too thin adjust ...accorfingly . Once aim.is there should be able to play eith your eyes closed 😏if not ....something wrong with your cue action.

Not true as you're conditioning your brain to see it. Similar to the way that, if you were to read a sentence from a piece of paper you will eventually know that off memory without the paper. You wouldn't be dependant on the paper forever.

personally i feel like you should try to learn angles naturally with your own eyesight if you want to improve properly as you will get a feel for the shot much better and also straight cueing is more about your stance and actual alignment anyway, you could have the wobbliest arm in the world but if your alignment with your foot, shoulder and head are right and your stance has a good balance point then you should be able to pot most easy to medium difficulty pots

Great question! Firstly, yes these are available for 8-ball, 9-ball and snooker/billiards. Secondly, everyone (depending on many factors) will take different amount of use to create the synapse that will allow them to effectively sight the correct angle. I would suggest using it for the shots you are less than a 7/10 on... until you are a minimum of 8/10. Best of luck! 💪
That's not actually true because what you are doing is training your brain to see the correct angle, forming a synapse that means you can see the correct potting angle in future pots. At some point you have to take the stabilisers off and sometimes you will fall off, doesn't mean the stabilisers haven't helped train you to ride that bike. :)
All well and good for finding the contact point and it might even help with finding the centre of the white but I tend to cue all over the white adding bits of side or backhand english as the Americans might say *not side if you know what i mean? ....so would you say plastic bit this only helps centre ball striking or can you position it differently ?... I see the point of the first card thing as a training aid being useful but not the plastic thing. Can you buy them seperately?
what a load of crap. Aiming is never the issue. Its always the stance. Wrong stance pushes the head offline and the arm steers instinctively to correct this ,ultimately missing the shot. Ghost ball, half ball quarter ball, light-shadow, CTE are all pure bullshit methods. These show how dumb and desperate we all can be. Solution: Don't make touching the chin and chest the top priority. Don't lock the elbow. Keep the stance boxer and not square.
how does it improve your game, you are using something which basically does all the work for you, can you then recreate it reliably several times in a row to see if you can actually pot the ball using only your sight and accurate cuing??
What it does is creates a synapse in the brain so you train yourself to see the angles when not using the Potting Aid. It takes many repetitions but it does improve your game as it doesn't do everything for you automatically. You still have to use it properly and deliver true.

Timing is important I think as well. It's better in my opinion to have a slower backswing when feathering and then finish faster on delivery...but each to their own style. I'll try the crosshairs though! good for memory on points to hit object ball...! Good video...
You're right - timing is absolutely key. Delivering the cue straight is essential to potting, but the only way you will get the position you want with the cue ball (aside from gauging the correct degree of spin) is by timing the shot perfectly.
As much as I like the trainer, i would like to see it work for a 147, even in a practice line-up. and if it does work, then does it work everytime i practice the line-up 147?
Well done. We tested 16 different types of material and only 1 wasn't affected by slide, and the spin accurately took, so let's hope you've stumbled across that one! 😉
I'm afraid that would be far too time consuming and cumbersome. Also - your set up of the Ghost Ball Potting aid is flawed, as you don't take into account that the contact point should be adjusted to take into account the impact of cut induced throw......
Luckily, you get to aim the potting aid wherever you want. If you're hitting it so hard that the ball throws off an inch, well, lucky you, you get to aim it an inch off ;) Use it how suits you. You'll understand that this helps players visualise the aim point vs contact point.
