Apparently Steven used to lead praise at church growing up. I definitely believe it with a voice like that!!
oh yeah, I can totally see him lead praise at church, some good old days when things are more simple
Dude I almost forgot about this! Yes, Steven grew up with a strong Christian childhood.
@@sikkjim4846 gtfoh with that "back in the day" bullshit lmao
Hahah so korean American hahaha
Chris Tomlin is singing this song.
It is time to officially recognize Steven Yeun as one of the greatest actors currently in business.
Hollywood won't do that!
@@Ra-mx4bo Yup. Blacks have quotas. Whites have privilege. Asian-Americans still get the shortest end of the stick.
He was Definitely the Best thing in Nope 😁 I kept hoping the ship didn't eat him and he would pop back up in the movie 😢 also loved him in the movie mayhem too 👍
@@Ra-mx4bo yeah, cause he's Christian.
@@rustyshackleford6035 he’s gonna be in the MCU soon so he’s only gonna go up from here, he’s still young so let’s see
What kills me is that you can see it in Paul’s eyes that he admires his big brother in this moment. But you also know how this story ends.
Paul and George for all their faults had something in them that drew Danny and Amy to them, to want to care and look over them. And yet the tragedy through all this is eventually those former two will break it off with those latter two, and they're heartbreakingly justified doing so.
I feel like Paul will forgive him and come around eventually as long as Danny changed for good
thats my head canon also@@Bunny11344
@@Bunny11344 People who make one mistake, one bad choice, deserve forgiveness.
Danny did not make one mistake/one bad choice, he actively destroyed Paul’s life starting from the college applications, all the way up until the robbery.
Danny does not deserve forgiveness from his brother, maybe from everyone else, but not Paul.
It kills me to see Danny having all of his dreams come true but still feeling unsatisfied. He wanted his brother to look up to him. He wanted a nice Korean girl. He wanted a stable business. He had all of it and in the end still felt like he needed more. Reminds us to enjoy life even if it's the little things
I personally loved the spiritual themes in this show. There were some really pure and honest moments of worship which really blessed me. Hands down, one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Praise the lord
But you missed church last Sunday 🤔😮
🙌🏽🙏🏽
@@leeardamer remove the rod from your eye before you remove it from others
This does a good job capturing how good God is. Seek the Lord and he will offer you peace and eternal life
So not only is Steven Yuen handsome, kind, and one of the best actors of his generation, but he can also SING??!! How dare he? 😤
Who gave him permission? 🔥
Let him cook
He’s also funny with a background in comedy
He’s everything 🥰
He used to be a church band leader
I completed Beef in one night lol. It's a masterpiece.
literally
Oh yeah? Well, I finished it in 3 hours.
@@diglettdigdig I finished in one-min. Then I finished the show in 5 hours.
I watched it over 3 nights everyone was so good and guy playing his Brother is going to be a Break out star I think 😁👍
Unbelievably amazing!
This show did an EXCELLENT job in showing religious Asians on screen and showing us their world in how they specifically approach religion. I'm not Korean, but I heard that when it comes to faith, Koreans are either VERY religious or not at all.
There are a lot of Christian cult churches in South Korea. Search Grace Road Church
Lol, one of the first things a Christian Korean will ask another Korean is where they go to church.
@@Nightriser271828 haha I bet. Minari and Kim's Convenience both feature scenes in church. Very fascinating. I'm Thai and a Buddhist. Thais, like Koreans, either go to temple and have Buddha play a huge role in their lives, or not at all. No in between lol
Well not only koreans tho.
One of the Holiest and dedicated Catholic Priests in Australia is a Korean.
This scene alone was reason enough to watch the entire season of BEEF.
I really felt his emotional connection with this performance wow got chills the whole time ❤
His voice was amazingly spiritually haunting made me cry 😭
Binged the entire show in two days and so far it is the best series I have seen so far this year. One thing about this scene that warms my heart is how his brother is looking at him, either out of admiration or comfort that he is seeing Danny in a more positive light.
I heard that this show would possibly get a season 2. As much as I loved this season, I don’t think they should make more. The finale ended perfectly, in a hopeful yet ambiguous way. If they do make a season 2, I’d be fine with it, but it’ll be interesting to see where it goes.
I was surprise to discover his acting in Beef. Really genuine talent. Amazing guy
this scene and the scene when he first came to the church was VERY moving and powerful.
your first day at VBS and your soul has been touched by the songs of worship
He has an incredible voice
Steven, love your acting skills so much. You were my favorite on TWD. I think you know your fans were devastated by the way you died. After that episode, numerous people stopped watching. That’s the power of your acting. You are an amazing singer too? Wow. Great job on Beef, I had many different emotions watching that show.
I stopped watching after they killed Glen off. The bright side is we got Mayhem, Minari and this great series. He might not have been able to fit any of them in if he had stayed with TWD. Still, it stings to this day how his character was treated at the end.
I gotta say this is one of the best series to come out this year. Hand down
Ughh what else cant he do! 😢 i love his singing so much here
Such a great show!
The ending was touching
I was BLOWNNN away to see that he is a gifted singer??! I had no clue and my jaw was on the floor!!
So many depths to his character and ofcourse very talented,,,wow and he can sing too...
OMG I’m obsessed with this video😂 why is his voice so gooood
We should have a full cover of this song by Steven Yeun!!!
One of the best shows so far for this year.
Why is he good at singing as well? So talented. I love you man😍 스티븐 최고야!
He’s gonna win the golden globe.
That voice sends me to heaven
Currently watching this. I love the every episode.
Gonna need the full version, netflix!
I can't stop walking round thinking "Amazing BEEEEEF!!!"
Hoping for more clips to be uploaded from this masterpiece of a show. Final episode had me BAWLING.
A masterpiece of a show!
One of my favorite parts of Beef!!
What is this show about?
This was absolutely amazing I loved his performance glory to God for blessing us with this actors voice 🙌🏾💙❤️🙏🏾🥲
So talented!!
If he doesn't get an Emmy nomination for this....
Wow, he can sing!!! What talent!!
WE NEED A FULL VERSION!!!!
I have never been more shocked. whoa!
The show is literally perfect.
If you got beef with BEEF, we got Beef!!! 😂 Great series! ❤
My church really need to play this version of amazing grace
U know he sung in praise team with a vibrato like that 😂😂
Wow, he has a really good voice!
I love how Amazing Grace symbolically mirrors Danny’s character: he’s wretched and lost. But ironically it’s broken people like him who find God as opposed to judgmental religious types like Edwin who are seething in the back row.
Church is for broken people to fix themselves. 🙏
I appreciate your analysis, but Danny doesn’t ever at any point “find God.” The show does not depict repentance in Danny’s life in any way whatsoever.
@@jamesrosner3840 But does Danny’s encounter with God have to be confined in a theophanic sense? I believe his experience with God in this scene is implied.
@@saber26ful he finds temporary religious relief for now, only to fall back into his same lifestyle and habits. It ain't God, it's just emotion. Danny is still his own god, which typifies how a lot of people irl mislabel a religious experience as their "finding God." It's unfortunately what happens when churches don't preach the whole counsel of God, but only teach in part what people want to hear. You'll find many churches that preach on love, belonging, forgiveness (all of which are biblical/good) but they do so in isolation from the hard topics (sin, repentance, holiness). We have to be convicted of our sins and repent of our sins. Otherwise, there is no real following of Jesus. The Bible just has no such category for a follower of Christ who isn't repentant.
@@jamesrosner3840 I think your misconception lies in the difference between the act of encountering God (being in his presence) and on the other hand living a changed life that is the result of an encounter with God, for example, what is mentioned regarding the concept of faith and deeds in the epistle of James. Danny’s situation is more applicable to the former as opposed to the latter.
Ultimately, your interpretation of that scene as “finding temporary religious relief” is subjective and limited because
a) Danny’s story hasn’t technically finished yet so we don’t know if the seeds planted in his heart in that scene will blossom later on, i.e. hypothetically in season two. After all, people don’t become super Christ followers in one day: remember how I mentioned that he’s broken? God plants the seed but it can take time to see growth.
b) this Netflix show isn’t a ham fisted Sherwood Pictures production, so they’re not going to spell out his religious experience with God in plain letters. In other words, just because he’s not shown hanging out at church enthusiastically serving in ministry for the rest of the show, doesn’t mean his spiritual encounter with God is negated bc he backslid into his own habits. That’s what makes his character so refreshing: it’s because he’s not perfect (unlike “model Christians” like Edwin). He’s flawed, but there are moments in his life where he does try to do what’s right.
I respect your steadfastness to biblical truth, but imho your presumptuously didactic approach is generally what causes people to leave the church and not want to come back. Just my 2 cents. Hope you don’t take it the wrong way.
He has a great voice and I am loving Beef.
The actors were so good in this series. I can't even decide who my favorite character was.
Just watched this with my bestie we both agreed it was one of the best shows we've seen in ages
This is the best show I've seen from Netflix, after the Crown
What’s the name of this show?

Copy right issue I guess
What a talent!
This was such an amazing show!!!
Need full version😍
OMG .. Steven Yeun needs to come out with a Gospel tracks .. maybe the next EGOT
one like isn't enough for this performance. amazing grace is my absolute favorite gospel song, particularly the rendition by boys II men some 20+ years ago, and the one done in the movie maverick. now i have another favorite version - thank you steven yeun! i'd only been halfway paying attention to the series beef, thought it was ridiculous at first. now i'm glad i didn't switch off sooner and will continue to watch for more praise when they are in the church on the show.
Steven Yeun leading praise is like 😍
his real voice !
LOVED THIS SHOWWW
😭😭😭 beautifulllll
PLEASE GIVE US A FULL VERSION
Amazing love, amazing BEEF
bro is too talented... i followed his work after he left _the walking dead,_ but he took his acting to another level with this show. and i had no idea what a great singer he is
I need a church with this level of energy, also i want a full version of him singing this song
You need a church that preaches the gospel first and foremost.
Exactly! Ik its not about the music but i love this!
0:37 I love that soaring guitar riff.
Is there a video where he sings the full song? It's amazing indeed! I got goosebumps😁
I really liked it🤗
my savior💀
I love this part
I absolutely love it. Would love to hear more songs from him ❤.
Also it gives me "here I am" Spirit vibes for some reason or another ??
Steven you're really my crush since TWD days! Gosh you're very talented! ILY!! 🤎🤎
So praise of that song 😊
what a great song
He could have sang with Maggie in the walking dead! I can’t wait for more films with him!
I want to go to this church 😂
This is my church every Sunday! Liquid church in Parsippany NJ. Amazing praise that brings the Holy Spirit & gives you chills
I think the shot with Paul makes this all sad. For all of his naivete, I think Paul is actually the smarter of the two and he can tell that Danny was depressed and it was getting worse. He's just glad to see his brother actually happy.
True
this should be in spotify
I wold totally buy this version of this song !
Yes please!
I’m waiting patiently!!!!
his voice is really good
Great scene.
We need a compilation of Isaac being scared of Filipinos.
I love how as shit gets worse he never shuts up about getting killed by them.
Well.... That was .. amazing
He can sing !??😂 ❤
Just put this in the original sound tracks please!!!!! We need to be saved by Steven’s voice!
