Do you think Lynch ever has tough conversations with Kyle about ST or his lack of aggression in 4th & short situations, or does it seem they're in lockstep philosophically?
It seems contrary to a philosophy of organizational excellence to treat a fraction of the team as “just don’t screw up.” Kind of a weird coaching philosophy to take: “We’re going to be the best team we can be, except for this group over here….”
I wish someone in the media would help spark Kyle's brain. My question would be: Kyle, the two last dynasties in football have been exceptional in special teams (Patriots / Chiefs) while this has cost you several games this year and in the SB. Is it time to value it?
Hello Mr. Maiocco, How do you feel about our current rookies being ready to take the next step? A part of me thinks this Dallas game will determine if we actually make a move for a WR going forward. I actually wouldn't be surprised they don't do anything if the WR's show up. I really don't know any WRs that entice me enough to add. Jennings (top 5 in yards before injury), Deebo, Cowan, Pearsall
I think this rookie class has made more immediate contributions than any rookie class in recent memory. Maybe that's not necessarily a good thing because you have to live with those mistakes rather than having more time to get them up to speed. Personally, I doubt the 49ers trade for a wide receiver. Their top three WRs are Samuel, Jennings and Pearsall (with Conley and Cowing the guys who are next up). That should be good enough.
I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all to take CMC being chill about putting stretch on those tendons as a great sign. He’s a very controlled person and I sincerely doubt would take casual chances with getting back to playing. If he feels that comfortable I’m sure he has reason to be.
Ricky P ran the wrong route on that play based on film review. Film showed most of the WRs ran the wrong route including Kittle. But Purdy was bad too.

I don’t think so, because I think those kinds of decisions are made in advance.

I admire how the Chiefs for getting their rookies involved early to develop them.
