I was looking through ftf shows from a few years ago and saw a bunch of comments begging for wildes to be taken off the show... crazy how far we've come
No he wouldn’t, he would just say it’s bad officiating. If you don’t see a problem with the NFL being able to review uncalled penalties then you are just stupid
There should be a way you can make a play that can lead to injury reviewed for penalty, and there should be a way you can call it on reviewing a scoring play regardless
You can't review uncalled penalties. I wouldn't be mad if we add exception for facemask and horsecollar tackle, but i agree with the general rule: don't review uncalled penalties.
Yeah but they don’t review for penalties, like when they say “scoring plays are reviewable” they’re looking if a guy has both feet inbounds or cross the plane etc they never review a scoring play and see if there was a penalty anywhere and then make the call accordingly. The face mask was egregious but it’s in that gray area of the rules where you can’t review it/take it back
The issue of "just make personal fouls reviewable" is that eventually, all the flags will be reviewable, and the last two minutes of a football game will be longer than the final two minutes of an NBA game.
@@Mrstudlyxd Basketball has 2 min challange rule and it changed the game. Obviously there should be a limit to how many times you can challange and types of plays you can challenge. So 1 challenge under 2 min.
Chiefs get plenty of calls against them under 2 minutes, and that's not the only period of game play where people cry about controversial officiating moments supposedly benefitting the Chiefs, but keep crying victim. Whatever happened to accepting a loss? And when Chiefs fans rightfully point that out, we're told that WE'RE the ones crying? Good lord...
You don’t even have to change the rules. I thought all scoring plays were automatically reviewed? That’s a play that put points on the board so it should’ve been reviewed by default.
I think a simple, preemptive flag to then have the meeting to discuss it would have prevented the whole fiasco. But their bird-watching and stammering made it so they missed their window. Not like that crew was shy about throwing flags all game.
The refs literally couldn't see. People need to understand that just because you can see it from the TV camera doesn't mean the ref is in a position to see it. They have to stay out of the way and somehow position themselves to see everything while all the players are running around and blocking their view. The refs had no reason to throw a "maybe" flag because they didn't see anything. It they could see the TV angles they would throw the flag. Which is why they should designate someone that's basically a ref to be watching the broadcast and in the ear of the crew throughout the game.
One of the few teams, and the only NFC team, to give the Ravens a run for their money last year. Game went to overtime. Aaron Donald is a big loss for sure since then, but Puka in year 2 is an even more dangerous weapon, and Verse is progressing as the year goes on. Definitely a dark horse to win the NFC
now he has to overcome another obstacle. So I’m gonna support him. I’m gonna lift him up. “And I’m gonna be there for him. Because I see the way he fights. I see the way that he works. And I know who he is, as a person and as an NFL quarterback. And that’s all I have to say to address him”😁
It's also ignoring that it wasn't just that Stafford didn't have his "Avengers", he didn't have an offensive line. Even now they still have a patchwork offensive line with a rookie center, that gets penalized a lot
I agree with wildes in that this specific play was a scoring play so it should be reviewed but I agree with Nick that hate constant intervention by officials and the booth. Just let them play and if you miss a call, you miss a call.

It's funny how people are saying NOW that this should've been reviewed because it was a scoring play as a safety. You know when that applied last year? The Chiefs-Jets game where the Jets got a safety even though Jawaan Taylor grabbed the facemask before the defender got into the endzone, which according to TERRY MCAULAY HIMSELF meant that it should've been half the distance to the goal line and a punt.
