An accountability app would be awesome. Where your friends can do check calls on you to make sure you are making progress or staying in your lane you setup with them. And then you can both earn rewards, on both sides of the app.

App/web app ideas:
- An app that has provides a user with a variety of surveys(i.e google surveys) and maybe affiliate offers? they can take and invest that into the stock market; Like surveys meet acorns
- Laundromat/Apartment/dorm laundry app - lets you reserve washers/dryers for 4-5 mins and notifies when your laundry load close to finishing; tells you what time they are least used. Could possibly use a smart plug that can handle the electrical load of a washer and you could determine whether a machine is in use by the electrical load.
- Drycleaners app- Tells how much all the local dry cleaners charge around certain mile radius and when your clothes will be ready
- RSS feed/notifications that let you know when a musician you like releases a new album, an author you like releases a new book, or game dev releases a new game, your favorite movie actor releases a new movie, etc.
- real life Pokedex - take a pic of animal bug, plant? and it will pull up what it is and information about it. Let's you go fishing and catch a fish but not sure it good to eat, is it in season, how to clean it, etc. not sure if current computer vision tech is advanced enough
- a gardening app that tracks the plants in your garden and creates a list of things you should do to keep the certain plant healthy. When to add fertilizer, spray for pests, etc. Also, provides common problems with the plants and could add a community component to it as well. Where you can engage with other people that are growing that plant. Also, it could track the weather/seasonality and tell you when you should plant that certain plant. Or recommend which breeds of that certain plant works best for your area. Also, it can link to local nurseries where you can purchase the plant.
What you consider a shortcut, I define it as efficiency. ;)
I would rather be wise than intelligent. On Facebook someone made a good point about how there are plenty of intelligent people out there but not enough people that are wise, loving, peaceful, etc. Like it's trendy to say go into STEM and people have focused more on STEM for the last two decades or so and avoided the humanities and yet we are seeing a decline in our humanities on a national level. So my point is there are plenty enough people already out there with intelligence that it's not going to be something the world is short on, wisdom however is needed and would be far more valuable and scarce in this world.
An app I would like to see is a GPS app that works in the background to warn you of speed traps even when you aren't using the app as navigation.

Interesting app idea. That’d be super cool. I wonder if Waze has an API you could use to lookup speed traps. If so, it’d be pretty straightforward app to make. The hardest part would to predict where the user is going if they haven’t put in their coordinates. Like if you’re on a highway and there’s a speed trap 2mi ahead it could send you a notification as you’re getting on the exit ramp. I’m sure some intelligent person could handle the issue though 😅😉 (but there’s probably a million other hurdles I’m not aware of that’d pop up)
