The sound mixing on this one is horrible. Synth way too high, both guitars buried in the mix. Great song, though.
bass is sounding a bit weird as well. too much ambience, sounding like in a bucket
I know it's bad if I can notice how bad it sounds. Was listening to this on Spotify and was about to share from youtube and got excited when I saw this. Usually stuff on KEXP is amazing. Not even going to finish listening to it. :(
Yes I was disappointed by the mix too. Where are the fantastic guitar sounds from the original. A real shame.
I like it, it has some university bar venue feel to it and lets you appreciate the song in other way, truly a live version of it.

although to be fair, wild nothing holds off on most of the overpolished studio effects. if you play their music loud enough on a nice stereo i swear it sounds very simular to how they sound live. especially gemini tracks which was recorded in a dorm.

The edited version did sound better, I'm really upset to say this but there was a lot of flat off tune I couldn't tell if it was done on purpose or not I love these guys on record but very off tune....
