I decided on South Africa, and now I have to figure out what major city....leaning more towards Joburg! I pray my move from the US is as smooth as you guys!!
@SbusisoMbatha-zb1gv Durban was on my list! Is the weather like Cape Town? Do you mind explaining the weather? In Maryland, we have FOUR SEASONS... I want to live where the weather doesn't dip under 50°F (NO SNOW)
I’m from South Africa I’ll explain it in simple terms Joburg-Pretoria is like Atlanta and Charlotte combined. Cape Town is like LA and Durban is Miami.
Many people go back home such as Limpopo , Mpumalanga etc for the festive season. People come to Joburg for work and school and then go home for the holidays.
Oh some are born and raised in Joburg like us. You guys act as if Joburg is full of Factories and office buildings only 😤 when it is surrounded by countless residential areas.
@ lol I said MANY , I never said ALL. She asked why people are all going to Limpopo and I gave some context. Of course there are people born and raised in jhb. It’s not that deep haibo.
Limpopo is a rural province with a lot of agriculture and Mpumalanga is mainly a mining province. The best way to visit the two provinces is through the Kruger National Park.
I recommend Hartebeespoort, in the North West province for a weekend maybe... There are lot of resorts, the dam, nature and just around the corner there's lions park, upside down house. Amazing. Suncity is +or- 30 minutes away. Also Mpumalanga. It's an amazing province and it's so beautiful.
When it comes to desserts stick to woolies and bakeries/coffee shops ... the other grocery stores are tricky , you need to find them on the day they were made are still fresh. It’s not always easy to tell.
31:17 i think they are called lemingtons mostly if not always, they are soft not dry like snowballs. The snowballs i grew up eating were not as dry as the current ones I've tested these years.
@@ThePriceSquad You'll love them. They have red ones and brown ones, not sure of the flavours. Might be raspberry and chocolate there might be other flavours.
I also hate dry snowballs. Sometimes you can get soft ones with fresh cream or buttercream in the centre, but those are very rare. The square shaped ones you saw are called Lamingtons. They're soft, but I don't like how they also don't have anything in the centre.
Those Joburg snowballs are not Cape Town snowballs. Cape Town snowballs are original. It's soft nd tasty. Those square ones u saw at Spar, are different. They are called Lemingtons. I love it.❤
I used burners though, I didn't use the boiling method. I sprinkled a little cinnamon on top of the burner, mixed with a little olive oil and citronella or lemon and lavender essential oils. Then light the candles in the burners.
The weather in KZN can be relentless. There has been a few major floods in the coastal areas over the past 3 years that have displaced thousands of people and cost the government billions of rands to alleviate the damage.
We say it a LOT. 😄 Those words hit their ears differently. It let's them know that although some things may not matter to them, it matters to us. It's to teach them to take EXTRA care and not to take things and people for granted.
Aloha..fam...Chelsea wants her nails done so she dont do no house chores or cooking...n as for Chase yep he did Attack the plant. That fake snore ...he did it🤣

Mpumalanga in the highveld is more about mining sector and lowveld is more agriculture and tourism
So happy you and the fam enjoyed your first South African braai ❤❤

Lol snowballs are very nice when fresh.....
Maybe we didn't have a fresh batch. We may try somewhere else. 👍🏿
@@ThePriceSquad try directly at a bakery....not a grocery store....at bakeries their stuff is always fresh...anyway love the content....❤

Maybe we should try them from a different store.
You are spot on. I grew up eating delicious snowballs with some frosting. They were yummy and soft. These days, they are hard rock and not tasty.
The square ones are called Leamingtons and they are FAR superior and fluffier
We'll give the Lemingtons a try. 👍🏿

Can you name a candy or snack that is available in the states but not SA?
Malva Pudding, Milk Tart, and my favorite, I think you should try is Peppermint Crisp Tart. It's simple and delicious. Perfect for Christmas desserts
It sounds delicious 😋 We'll give it a try.
Check Panorama route in Mpumalanga, parts of Hoedspruit (Limpopo) . You’ll enjoy it ❤️
We'll look into it. Thank you 😊
Milk tart Pick n Pay, malva pudding woolies...
Ahhh okay 👍🏿 👌🏾
Nope,milk tart at Food Lover's... always😁
Cut the snowballs in half and spray on some whipped cream in the middle. Just enough maybe they will taste better

Best place to be on New Year's is Cape Town!!!
I can imagine it must be BEAUTIFUL! 😍
Biy spices from a spice shop, which is normally owned by Muslim or Indian family. Chillies are full up. Just find the right store
Witch craft lighting 😂😂😂
😅😅😅 It was some STRANGE lightning! 🌩
Get your desserts from Afrikaaner bakeries or Woolies. They hardly ever dissapoints
Thank you 😊 Woolies is always on point 👌🏾
3:16 wow was it because of the game? Gamer rage😂
It wouldn't surprise me. 😄
The habanero is only the hottest naturally occurring chili on the planet!
Snowballs must be eaten with a glass of milk. That's how it's done 😅
That makes sense. I can see why. Maybe we'll give it another try from a different store.
See God's window and the Sudwala Caves in Mpumalanga. Not much to do in Limpopo sadly.
Thank you 😊
COME TO CAPE TOWN WE COULD DO A RED BUS TOUR SPECIFICALLY PAARL
We may actually do that. 😉
@OurJourney2SouthAfrica yaaay let me know

The weather in KZN can be relentless. There has been a few major floods in the coastal areas over the past 3 years that have displaced thousands of people and cost the government billions of rands to alleviate the damage.
That's sad. I've heard about floodings just recently. Has KZN always had a flooding issue or has it only been in the past 3 years?
@OurJourney2SouthAfrica There's been a flooding issue for quite some time, but none as severe as the ones we've seen in more recent years.
You just missed the MSC Cruise in Durban
Very end of the year
OMG 😲 We love cruises!
Urg!! Red cake!🤢
Yup! Those are an acquired taste
