To all that watch this you must feel the same. If you were there to be blessed enough to witness her amazing accomplishments you just need only to close your eyes for a brief moment and remember this very awesome amazing human being the world had for a short time. On September 21, 1998, Griffith-Joyner died in her sleep at the age of 38. Her death was investigated by the sheriff-coroner's office. The cause of death was suffocation during a severe epileptic seizure. The Orange County coroner's office noted that the autopsy records showed that she did not die from drugs or banned substances and that tissue and organ tests revealed none of the changes associated with recent steroid use. We love you Flo Jo, R.I.P.

De Merode told The New York Times that Manfred Donike, who was at that time considered to be the foremost expert on drugs and sports, failed to discover any banned substances during that testing."

The record should not have stood as stated by IAAF "All scientific studies commissioned by the IAAF and independent organisations have since confirmed there was an illegal tailwind of between 5 m/s - 7 m/s at the time. This should have annulled the legality of this result, although the IAAF has chosen not to take this course of action"

You may have seen a few of her races but you didn't know her or about her training regimen and how hard she was on her body and how she pushed herself not only physically, but more MENTALLY than anything else, because as the most elite and gifted athletes can tell you, if you can envision succeeding while doing your sport, most of the time, you win. I couldn't care less if Flo Jo or any of them juice, to me it makes it more interesting. . that being said if you check your news everyday more and more is coming to light about who has and had been doping. Unfortunately Flo jo is at the top of the list . I know Vic Conte (Balco) is hated by all though he was right about every single athlete he blew the whistle on . I read only this morning that even Jackie joyner kersee admitted to knowing Flo Jo was using HGH and witnessed her injecting it ! The article went through all the ways it was covered up , they wanted to make flo jo a star !

@ImSoFreakingAwsome I accept your criticism. I should not have commented, and I'm sorry. My purpose was not to be disrespectful.

As if shs was ever going fo make the marathon or even the 400 8 years after retiring, there arent enough extra drugs she could take, she was a liar watch her 10.49 interview where she says the wind was down when everyone else racing said it was up,

ed chapman but it was between 2.7 and 5.4 for every other heat. Sheila Echols ran 10.83 Diane Williams 10.86 never touched these times again. Echols best outside this meet was 11.01 Diane Williams in 1983 ran 10.94 and in 1988 outside this meet was 11.1 but if you wanna believe the wind was down for this one heat.

Take a look back at her times over history. Every race over 100m and 200m, plot them on a graph. Do the same for any other athlete in the last 10 years. Look at the changes in the times and the period of her carrer. I am not making any acusations it would be wrong. Then look if can can at the type of training she was doing. If you really look hard enough you'll find the answers
