- I made an AI startup in 48 hours and sold it for $65,000 just 3 months later. Enough savings for at least one year. You only need to win once 😄

Hi everyone!
If you have any question let me know in the comments, I will reply everyone! :)
Just wanted to add a few extra points to conclude the video:
1) About making an AI logo app today:
I know some people will be tempted to launch an AI logo making app after watching this. This is probably a terrible idea! It worked for me mainly because of the timing. The fact that I was first to market gave me a massive advantage. I didnt do much marketing other than adding the app to a few repertories. But today, most people heard about it already.
Does it means you should only launch app using shiny new tech? No! Opportunities like this happens once every 2 years. Don't rely on it! Instead, learn proper distribution channels like Ads, SEO, cold messaging, etc.
2) About shipping apps fast:
I know devs are tempted to make what they think is the best app possible, but keep in mind that unless you've got paying users telling you what they want, you're gambling your time. If you spend 6 months making an app no one wants, you will never make your time back.
It's way better to launch something with 1 or 2 features in a week, then talk to users to improve it. Read "The Mom Test" if you want to learn about talking to users.
Have a great day, and remember, you just need to win once to change your life.
The video took me over 100 hours of work, so let me know if you enjoyed it, that way I know if I should make more or not :)
Great job man 🙏🏼
Good one Nico
hie friend i also create many mini apps and product but i always fail in marketing my all hardwork is wasted can you tell me how can i market my SaaS for free so even some visitor come to visit my saas pls

Good job. Being programer myself, it's amazing for motivation. Definitely carryon.
No way this is your first video.
This is insanely good.
Both the editing, but more importantly the story telling is superb.
And 800 views within 5h is reflecting this IMO.
Thanks a lot Philipp!!
23k now! insane
It's obvious he deleted previous videos
@@blasterzm not true. I know Nico and all he’s done are some quick loom videos. This one took weeks with learning to edit
Honestly, this is what I call a full package.
next year "I SOLD my UA-cam channel for $65,000"
Hahaha, not for UA-cam but in the process of selling another app soon!
@@Jeannen thats the spirit!
@@Jeannen how do you sell them? I have some few ones I want to sell
This must be the best 'first channel video' in the whole history of youtube.
Hahaha, thanks! 😄
Technically I have a few unlisted gaming videos when I was a kid, does that count? 😆
Loved every bit of this. Brutality honest with every step of the journey and hid nothing. Bravo Nico! ✨
Man the storytelling is on point. Congratz 🎉
Amazing video editing + storytelling! You’re a natural!
I wouldnt say natural, I had to re-shoot it 3 times to get the tone right haha
Just lots of trial and error!
What kind of video editing tools and effects to use?
Nice! I had the same idea on my backlog. Glad it worked out.
insane story telling
the detailing of each procedure
how it went from zero to hero
god damnn!!!!
Thanks a lot! 🤩
It wasnt insane, it was very sane and well put together.
@@darrenjames6309 figure of speech bruh
Excellent story and pointing to resources. Love it and your process
Brilliant story telling, and incredible editing. Awesome job! I can see the effort that went into this video 🙌
Thanks a lot Rob!!
@@JeannenDid you do the editing yourself?
Congrats, thanks for being so open about the process. Must be a dream come true to sell your product like this. Keep on building!
It was! Really lowered my stress, my life now is not even comparable to before haha
It has been 6 months that I’m juggling between full time university and full time consultant contracts and I had kinda lost faith and was thinking about getting a regular job as a marketing strategist. But watching this 14 minutes video, I’m now cranked up for another round. Thanks for the inspiration ❤
It's ok to find a job if you need $, just never forget why you started entrepreneurship in the first place :)
I like coming across random content because algorithm and not only is it good but it happens to guide me step by step with what im working on. Subbed.
Thanks a lot! Hope the next videos will help you too then!
Great video dude, subscribed. Baffling this is your first video lol. Congrats on successfully building and selling apps too. You are a motivation to many
amazing story and video editing 🙌 I spent almost 4 years on a project with 2 other friends but still we didn't make it.. we wanted to make an ambitious project but failed in marketing and partially executing it. So now basically back to base 1 and thinking of smaller projects to deliver faster and get feedback early on from the market 💪
Thanks a lot!
Get some feedback from the market asap, read the pinned comment if not already done, I added a bunch of tips :)
I saw the post on twitter and came here to watch immediately. Congrats man! Very inspiring story and great job on the video creation as well.
Thanks a lot!!
great video Nico. I remember your previous one which had great content but was rather raw. This is a huge improvement! Looking forward to the next ones
Thanks a lot!! Yes that was just a recording without editing, I will put it on a secondary channel or something
Good for you! I am in a similar process atm! so yes, good to know your process and insights! merci!
Thanks, and good luck!!
This was very well done. Acquire should use this as their ad. It's that good.
Haha, I'd be fine with it 😁
You should've kept it. I also run an AI app generating photos. Funnily enough, I also launched it in December 2022. Teamed up with a product owner from the beginning for equity and he multiplied the revenue with 5X. It took us 1 year and like 50 AB tests... Of course it all depends on how burned you were. Cash is better than a heart attack. Take care and good luck! Looking forwards for the next episode
I was also starting to run low on savings, even if the app generated $, that was still super stressful, so the 80k gave me a nice security 😄
Isn't an app like that just a frontend for an existing generative model? Eg all it does is use it's own parameters/maybe modify the user prompt a bit.
I'd expect apps like this to die incredibly quickly as the market gets flooded.
Selling quickly seems like the winning move to me for something an experienced dev could probably replicate + improve on in a few days.
@@lolalucxyz more or less yes, the hardest part now is to compete with all the 50 apps that does the same. It also needs an admin portal, a content person, ways of promoting, a backend that you either maintain or pay a lot for. For us it was easier as we were one of the first to introduce AI filters that could produce training like photos in 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes. But it also took us a year to break even with profits and I didn't even calculate ours, the founders work in it
@@lolalucxyz Yeah its pretty wild this "novel" idea, is just crafting a prompt and sending an API request. Sure, there's a lot of people that don't want to do that / have the skillset, but seems wild that it can become an app / appealing project for investors. But hey, these guys have done it and it sounds successful so I'm pleased for them.
Absolutely well deserved. You worked hard, you used cutting edge technologies, you promoted the product, but most importantly you chose the topic which had demand and you were the first to promoted that.
Well Done!
Would be interesting to see the legal part of the story. Maybe you can make a video on that as well.
Did you register the company to receive payments? When you sold the product, did payment was made on your personal account or the company account? The legal part is as interesting as the development part.
Thank you
Thanks a lot!!
Not sure a video about the legals would be interesting because it really depends on your country
But I had a company, so everything was under it :)
Awesome and Congrats Nico🎉
Great thanks for sharing the story! Would even enjoy hearing about your video creation and editing process and how you managed to learn so much so quickly! Great work
Thanks a lot!
Tons of people asked me so I will make a post on Twitter about it soon!
Pieter Levels is an inspiration to almost every indie hackers. Never knew you have a youtube channel Nico, the story is amazing.
He is! When I started, I read every post from him! And thanks a lot!
Incredible story telling and editing, you're killing it with your first video mate! Can wan't to see what's coming next 👀
Thanks a lot man 🤩
Legend strikes again
You're the legend, legend
Legend
I am thankful for your inspiration to think about launching my own AI chat platform. I've been working on it for a year to complete it, but I was afraid that people wouldn't like it.
The only way to know is to launch :)
Fantastic video!
I was amazed to learn this is your first one.
Great job!
Thanks a lot! 😄
Thanks for sharing your story. It gives me hope that my project will be successful.
You got it!
hi. what are you working on
Which Website's API Key did you use ? Like Midjourney or others ?
This was like watching a documentary. Quite an experience to have! And congratulations on the sale.
Ooh, thanks! 😄
Lovely! Thanks for sharing
Wow, congratulations, I hope that now you can have more time to yourself and are not being as stressed as before.
I’m still working almost non-stop but I don’t have to worry about running out of $ in 6 months, makes a heck of a difference 😄
awesome video! there was definitely more room for more content at the end, things you learnt etc, I could have continued watching for another 10 mins
That was. the original plan, but it would have taken me way too long and I was getting a bit burned out, so instead I added the conclusion in the first comment 😅
@@Jeannen Awesome job dude! you nailed it!
Awesome, will give it a watch!
amazing work, simple idea but great execution
Thanks a lot!
I finished this videos and went looking for another one 😅 found out this is your first lol! What a way to start! Great things ahead for you buddy! Good luck!
Yes, that's my first video, more to come soon! 😄
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing your story and congratulations on the sale!! Keep going man 💪🏻
Thanks a lot!!
Fantastic story mate! I really wish I could experience that. Thanks a lot for putting names like Aquire of ProductHunt. Very useful!
Hope you will one day! I might have another similar story soon, where I will add more details if it turns out well 😄
Excellent video explaining in detail and making it transparent. Enjoyed it. Best wishes.
Thanks a lot!
I was screaming when i saw your upvotes counting 😍😍. This is great
Hahaha, I spent lots of time on this specific moment, wanted to be sure everything was perfect!
AMAZING WORK KEEP IT UP!!
Really cool style of the video! How did you make these cool grafics and soundeffects?
Great story Nico, thanks for putting the effort in telling it!
Super busy with my apps but hopefully will release one by next month!
Nice idea bro, i'm waiting for more videos.
Wow! Amazing edit & storytelling Nico.
Thanks man!
Love it make a video perhaps to let us know how you started programming, what you did to learn it and how long it took before you did your FIRST project. Subbed!
Thanks a lot!! I will probably make a video about learning to code one day, but I documented everything on my blog back then, you can find it in the "featured" section: jeannen.com 😄
nice video, gave lots of inspiration and info
Thanks a lot!
awesome story man! inspired me to share mine how i sold two content websites with poor design for over $1mil.
I normally do never comment on videos but had to give you some credits for this perfect video 👌
Thanks a lot! 😄
Well done!! Amazing video, came from Twitter 🎉
Thanks a lot!!
Why brother has only 2.41k sub? it should be at-least 241k . Insane content, top editing. Refuse to believe this is your first YT channel
Thanks a lot! 😄 Technically I published a few gaming videos 10 years ago, does that count? 😆
Great storytelling and editing!
Thanks 😄
incredible video my friend, thanks for the inspiration!
Amazing first video, Nico! Did not except you to replicate your Twitter quality on UA-cam. You definitely deserve more views and subscribers! :)
Thanks a lot!! 😄 I plan to make more videos like this one since it got lots of views!
you inspired me man, i will make my own startup
Do it!
Amazing brother proud of you, I'm really impressed by your story telling & video & audio quality
Thanks a lot!! 😁
Immediately subscribed for your dedication and the passion to build something meaningfull 👌
Thanks a lot!! 😄
Im so glad I saw this video! Im gunna try do the same process and use it to fund my studies! Thank you
Did you do any marketing for the company when it got listed on producthunt and gained traction or was it all organic?
Good luck! And it was all organic :)
Damn, you killed it with this one Nico! Marc now has some real competition 👀😆
Thanks man! 😄
Could you explain a bit more about the switch between type form and proper UI for non coders?
Typeform is just a form you can fill. It works, but it's limited it you need customization
With a custom interface you do everything from 0, it takes a bit more time but you can do anything you need :)
Amazing one! I have a couple of ideas but even with the no codes options available I still have no idea where to start lol
Pick the easiest one :) You can do everything using no-code, it doesn't matter, customers care about what your app does, not what it's built with!
Too good. This has inspired me to ship something fast that I've been pondering for too long.
Just launch something and get market feedback asap :)
Here while it's early!
@jeannen, thankyou so much for sharing this. I'm currently working on my AI startup. Had been a bit stagnant for a while so, thankyou for sharing these useful strategies with us.
Also, what app did you use for your editing?
Thanks a lot!
I used Premiere Pro and After Effect :)
Thank you please post more content on saas. It is pure gold.btw what is your tech stack or do you use nocode tools??❤❤🎉🎉
Thanks a lot, I will!!
I use Nuxt + Tailwind now :)
great job man congratulations🥳
Thanks!
Insane! Congrats!
That's some impressive work! Thank you for sharing Jeannen :)
Nice video! That got me thinking about selling my AI startup. It did about 30K last 12 months. I'll look into aquire.
Do it! They have tons of info on the website and UA-cam @acquiredotcom
WHAT? First video? Excellent work Nico. Thanks for the inspiration.
Technically I posted some videos a while ago but there was no proper editing, this one is my first 😁
great editing! keep it up, much love from SF.
Thanks! 😄
Incredible first video. Random question, what analytics software did you use?
Thanks a lot!! I use Plausible Analytics
👏🏻 congratulations mate! that was epic
Thanks a lot!!
Great video!!! so captivating! What advice would you give to non-technical folks who want to get into the same game? like where would WE start and would would we learn first?
Check cs50.harvard.edu/x/2024/weeks/0, free course from Harvard about programming. It won't be enough to make apps but it should show you quickly if programming is something you might want to do or not :)
Everything in the video is perfect.
1. Your success story
2. Story telling
3. Editing
Well done.
Did you edit yourself or you outsource it?
Thanks a lot!! 😄 I did it myself, I took courses to learn!
@@Jeannen Really? It is professionally edited. If you don't mind maybe you can share which courses you took?
Thank you for sharing your story mate!
My pleasure!
Daamn, love these type of stories
I have a few more to tell 😁
Great story and nice video editing skills! That was inspiring!
Thanks so much!
Super video, lovely flow and details
Thanks a lot!’
Amazing video, congratulations on your incredible success!
Thanks! 😄
so inspiring ! 🙌
Hi! I appreciate your consistent work of doing this startup 'til the end! Congrats!
How did you know how to document or how to make such a clear plan? Did you study some course of start-ups or something like that?
I failed over 30 projects, so I started to get an idea of what wasnt working. I just did the opposite! But I did spent quite a bit studying successful startups based on what was publicly available!
Amazing EDIT! Nice story! Where did you edit your video? and... Where did you learn?
Thanks!

Great job brotha! Working on my first SaaS now!
Thanks a lot, and good luck!!
this guy made me challenge myself to build my first SaaS in next 5 days, wish me luck :)
Good luck man!!
sure good luck, will be waiting for your product. Am in the learning phase for now.
@@safiamunir5046 thank you !, i already finished the landing page for it, wish you all the best
Amazing story telling and top notch editing 🤠.. What's your tech stack btw?
Thanks a lot!!
I started with just JS/CSS/HTML, but now I use Nuxt 3 with Tailwind, much faster to make complex apps
What technologies did you use to make this saas? Frontend, backend, database and payment section
NodeJS + Vanilla JS/CSS/HTML :)
How did you create the app, you create it in a specific app like flutter ? ( if yes what app and what code language did you use ) and also, what do you think about no code apps, do you think they have potential as apps or as applications that can be sold ?
I made it using NodeJS :)
NoCode is ok, you just have more costs. Pretty sure they're worth a bit less when you sell them tho
Thank you, you're amazing
Nice work. very inspiring
Thanks a lot!
really nice story . please do more content on youtube as it's inspiring
It's planned 😃
@@Jeannen waiting :D
What a fantastic video. It's so well done 👏
Thanks a lot!!
Very good and informative video. Nice sale!
Thanks!!
Nico now is the time to push it to the next limit, you have a years savings but don't let that get to you. Now is the time to push it 10x. Good luck I'm on a similar journey, stay hungry.
$65,000 is just the start :)
I'm wordless. Congrats!
Thanks!!
how to you promoted the project, I mean did you make any advertisment or instagram post or anything
I published on a few startup directories, but it kinda picked up on its own since it was new!
Thanks for sharing your story. I would like to know how did you designed your landing by page? Was it on Wordpress or some website builder such as wix? Also I would love to see some early screen shots of the first website!
I did everything using HTML/CSS !

You can see the first drafts and changes I made :)
Awesome story! Awesome video! You got me hyped!
Thanks a lot!! 😃
Amazing story! How do you do banking for the app payments and the sale transaction?
Stripe to collect payment, and bank transfer for the sale :)
