The reason why serenity sounds in that area is because it belongs to the album "Pandora's toolbox" which contains small ambient songs that many developers use for their games. The song on the album is called "To burble & pine" but on Monster Hunter other songs were also used like "The waving air", "Submarine brave", "Gravity borne, gravity bound", and some more.
It's sad, because the composer of that album was never notified about capcom using those songs on their games.
It played in all tranquil areas of the first gen maps. Even on the modern version Verdant Hills it still plays in area 7 where the veggie elder is.
The requirements, indirectly, are requiring the player to GET READY(weapons armors) before fighting the Fatalis. Last time MH had very low requirements for a VERY STRONG monster we got Alatreon on MH World Iceborn... And OF COURSE people complained it was impossible: most people had very weak weapons and armor by the first time they tried it.
I have full fatalis armor set all his weapons yet can’t beat alatreon alone
@@thegameranch5935 1- Read a mechanics guide on how Alatreon battle works. High Fire and Ice element QUICKLY(dragon, slow) destroys its bullshit. 2- It's not enough to have the best weapons, you also need the best upgrades from Guiding Lands materials.

The main problem was also that the majority of people didn't know how to adapt to a monster. World doesn't teach you to build sets in preparation to hunt monsters. The same best set worked on pretty much everything, there was no reason to make an anti Rathalos set, no reason for an Anti Xenojiiva set, no incentive to craft a set to counter Deviljho or Nergigante. Kushala you could argue does need one, but no one did because ot wasn't needed anywhere else so it was seen as a tedious fight, same with Lunastra. They're easy and simple with a set built for them.
So when there's another fight that really needs you to build for it, switch your weapon element, change your skills, no one bothered to do so. In fact, people were MAD they had to play the game it was meant to be played. They were MAD that they had to prepare and couldn't use whatever with their blast weapons.
@@kingofflames738 I feel like that is only half true.
Swapping elements and gear felt is still a huge part of the process for a large portion of the game. Like in previous entries, you can't just use the weapon with the most raw, as they most likely had poor sharpness, decos, affinity, or some combination of the three.
And then you get to the endgame, and weapon balancing goes out the window. Deviljho's weapons in Title Update 1 of base World, Safi'jiiva in TU 2 for Iceborne, etc.
Rise had top tier weapons right at launch, like Nargacuga and Tigrex weapons. Unless there was perfect element synergy (bonkers elemental damage + hitzones), you had no reason to go anything other than raw.
It's not even something exclusive to 5th gen.
Slime in 3U, if what I've heard was even partially true, automatically was the best, and was kneecapped in comparison when it became Blast status in 4th gen and onwards and was no longer exclusive to Brachydios.
Even then, Crimson Fatalis weapons in 4U (that had Blast instead of Fire, anyway) were hands down the top tier DPS weapons. I'll never forget when I was using Hellruin Glaive "Omen" Insect Glaive to perma stagger a Savage Deviljho one particular hunt.
Generations had Hellblade Glavenus weapons, which also had Blast.
Generations Ultimate had Ahtal Ka, which had no element or status, as top tier.
It's ultimately a multi-generational trend of Capcom being afraid of different elemental weapons being endgame viable outside of more niche circumstances, all the while giving endgame raw DPS options the equivalent of Viagra.
Alatreon's mechanics felt like a band-aid fix of this design philosophy.
@@DarthDookieManI think capcom need to balance mh games a bit better. Especially in the endgame part. But dont forget we are talking about min maxing here. We most likely have several hundreds of hours until we reached this problem.
Of course there will be a meta. There is always a meta. And when I played a game for nearly 1k hours and know every enemy moveset, than of course I will pick the best possible build to get one minute faster.
At some point you dont need to build around a specific gimmick. You just put in the highest possible dps and enough utility to sustain the dps.
Icebornes Alatreon countered this by making elemental a crucial part. But I didnt liked this fight. I thought the fatalis fight was way better.
I just hope that capcom gets their difficulty right for the next title. They should increase the difficulty a bit and make the game progression especially in the early and mid game a bit slower.
I played through rise in like 50 hours. Thats insane. When I reached Grank back in mhfu I had over 700 hours in game.

Maybe late to the party but mhfu have no solo G Rank quests. They are all supposed to be played online. Thats why there is no solo scaling in these quests. Sucks a bit and makes this hard game espacially more harder.
