That’s why we admire @PecosHank so much. He’s personable, a lover of nature, animals, weather and everything else that lets us live the human experience it seems. He makes it so cool and relatable…just by vibing and being himself.
Sponsored by yeti, expected more product placement, got amazing mini documentary on one of the best storm chasers out there. Thank you yeti, major respect for this.
I echo your compliments on this beautifully crafted work of cinema. It just gets more amazing upon re-watching. Tornadic compliments to the cinematic team that produced this masterpiece.
Great piece on Pecos Hank. My only problem is how can you call it the ballad of Hank without using any of his music he puts in his videos? Merely curious.
No one cares about the NRA, but YETI is against your right to bare arms. If they arent it would be cool if they explained what gun laws they would like added to the thousand plus and why they think they would help law abiding citizens and not criminals.
Hank has captured some of my favorite videos of tornadoes. An absolute legend. I also have to shout out Mike Olbinski for some of the most beautiful time-lapses of storms and tornadoes I've ever seen. He's a great watch to.
When I was 9, I saw my first tornado and was terrified. A couple of years later, I started watching Pecos Hank. Hank is now the reason why I will be going to college to become a meteorologist. Thanks Hank!
I discovered Hank while going to college for meteorology😂 wasn't much into youtube until covid started. I witnessed an ef4 first hand in dallas in 2015, and I've driven into a rain wrapped ef0 on accident while driving to college(I was not the driver, the driver ignored my warnings and just kept plowing forward despite the horizon being black, I'm extremely thankful it was only ef0.) And that prompted me to study and take an interest in tornadoes and severe weather. Found Hank in 2021 during college and have been watching him since. Love his content
For those who aren't familiar, Hank is more than a chaser. His channel is excellent for getting some weather science on storm-related phenomena that is both in-depth and easy to understand, and his time lapse videos of non-tornadic storms are as beautiful and awe-inspiring as anything you will ever see. I personally think he lays up some good karma for himself by his kind acts for small animals (snakes, turtles, even dung beetles) that gives him safe passage from Nature as he gets crazy close to deadly tornadoes. Hank is a rock star in my book.
Hank to me is like the love child of Steve Irwin and Bob Ross. He's so wholesome and passionate about what he does, you can't help but but to be drawn in! I've always loved watching storms whenever they roll through, but I find myself appreciating them more and noticing more about them.
I am tickled pink that our turtle-rescuing, June bug-narrating’, snake-wrangling, PeeWee Herman-impersonating scientist / musician / full time storm-chaser has finally gotten his own movie. I especially love the drone shot of the three different roads spliced into one frame, and the mid-chase comment, “We’re kinda safe-Ish.” Hank, you’re just the best there is - we love you. Keep doing what you do.
It's not just tornados, Hank is the first person to do a full show on red sprites. I had never even heard of those before seeing that episode and it's one the most amazing acts of nature I have seen.
Simply one of the best mini-docos about a storm chasing character like no other. Proud to call Hank a great friend. What you see here is genuine and what Hank is really like.
I am also proud to call Hank a great friend. Fantastic down to earth human being. I’ve done 2 Zoom calls with him and exchanged some messages with him on Patreon, and every time I’ve spoken with him has been absolutely wonderful. I definitely look forward to meeting him in person at some point.
I had the privilege of meeting him when I was doing my undergrad for meteorology. He is seriously one of the coolest, most genuine people I have ever met!
Fascinating portrait of a man who is a bit crazy, but also courageous, thoughtful, kind and droll. He also produces outstanding imagery and he talks to animals. What a guy!
Pecos truly is the weather gunslinger, a lone ranger guided only by his maps and instincts. He’s humble, down-to-Earth, fearless, yet always cautious. I’ve followed his content even since the early beginnings of his career, and I’ve always been completely intrigued by him and the storms he’s willing to chase. Pecos is unlike any other person. I will never stop supporting this man and his incredible content and drive to chase the unknown.
I could’ve watched a full hour of this, at least. Great cinematography, great topic (tornado hunting), and great subject (Hank). Such a truly interesting human, he is. Glad I found his channel this summer.
Hank is one of the best documentarians I’ve ever seen - all of his videos are of exceptional quality and not only focus on tornadoes but also on the creatures he finds. One of the coolest and most talented people I’ve found on the internet.
Hank's lower key, light hearted and (relatively) sensible chase style is a joy to watch. No screaming, no pretend drama. His photography and video are beautiful, and his explanations of tornado and lightning phenomenon are awesome. The wildlife shots are a fun aside! A Pecos Hank video is an immediate click from me!
There simply aren't words for how well this production was done. Hank is one of the most interesting dudes in the world, and this film team captured his essence beautifully. ❤🌪
Hank is the real genuine article. He is talented in so many ways and always has a great sense of humor. He will go down as one on the best storm chasers ever.
I’ve never enjoyed a video that wasn’t made by Pecos Hank as much as I enjoyed this one. I can’t even express to you, or anyone reading this, how much I appreciate this little look at my hero on the other side of the camera.
Pecos Hank is by far my favorite storm-chaser. Just super down to earth guy and good person, this video is amazing! It was so cool to learn about his past and his thoughts on the dangerous side of storm-chasing. The cinematography is incredible as well, Well done! :D
What a beautiful mini docu. Thanks Yeti! Hank is one of my favorites. He taught me to love and appreciate storms, snakes, spiders, his music and so much more! Luv him and his work!
Hank is one of my favourite storm chasers, no dramatics just pure talent driven by passion and knowledge. I actually knew since 11 I wanted to be a meteorologist/storm chaser and Hank is truly an inspiration to me someone I can easily look up to in this field. Hoping one day I get to his level of credibility.
I grew up being absolutely terrified of tornados, I'd have nightmares about them very frequently, even though we don't live in an at risk area and i had never seen one before (I blame Twister). Eventually, the nightmares stopped but the phobia remained. I avoided any videos about them, changed the channel when the news reported on them. One day, YT recommended a Pecos Hank video and the thumbnail just looked really interesting. So, I watched it. Then another. Then another. Then I went down a 3 month rabbit hole watching every tornado video i could find, learning everything i could about them, it was an obsession. I learned that they don't just randomly spawn out of any ole rain cloud like I previously believed, but that certain conditions had to be met. My fear remained, but now that i understood them, it was no longer an irrational fear. I was in awe, I still am. I'm forever thankful to Hank for opening up that world to me and not only making the knowledge accessible and intelligible, but entertaining, interesting and downright beautiful.
Hank is wonderful! He is informative, charismatic, and outside of showing incredible weather, he showcases people from all walks of life and places we'll likely never get to see. He seems like a genuine dude and his content is unmatched.
Gotta tell ya one of Hank’s most endearing qualities is not only his top tier storm chasing ability, but his genuine love of nature and all the critters, big and small, that make it so fascinating. I’ve lost count of how many snapping turtles alone he’s saved from ending up as roadkill in his videos. Just a delightful person. Peace! :)
Been watching PecosHank since the beginning his storm chasing career on UA-cam. I gotta say if I ever wanna chase storms I'd want Hank to be my guide. This man is legendary.
Beautifully shot and edited. Hank is one of two storm chasers I follow, the other being Skip/Jenn. Yeti makes Hank into a mythical figure like Indiana Jones. Well done!
Geez why am I just now seeing this?!? Pecos Hank is my favvvvvorite storm chaser. He's awesome and gets some of the most amazing footage I've ever seen. Long live PH!!!
Growing up in tornado alley, tornados have always struck me as one of the most fascinating weather phenomena. I found Hank’s videos almost 5 years ago, and I’ve been following his music and storm chasing ever since!
I absolutely love watching tornado chasing videos and I have watched them here and on many other platforms. Pecos Hank is the BEST CHASER BY FAR and he is my hero! I'd love to meet him one day and maybe we could chase a few storms. Love you Mr. Hank and keep up the excellent work!!
One thing I've figured out, from watching this man and his work, is that he has a very deep, bright, intelligence. And a huge heart for widllife. Keep on rocking, my dude!
Pecos Hank is on my Mount Rushmore of storm chasers. The combination of his photography, storytelling, music, and attitude make him one of the greatest to ever do it.
He captures shots that are truly amazing. Even when they're completely scientific they're beautiful. I look forward to mid to late storm season every year for the past few years because Hank will be dropping more badass content.
Its because of Hank I study meteorology and storm chase in my off time. After Jarrell my family in Killeen-Ft Hood was so terrified of Tornado risks i caught it to. Now that fear has become wonder as I learn more, and yearn to see more. So thank you Pecos Hank, for showing me a spectacular part of nature I would've otherwise hid from.
Thank you Yeti for getting Hank’s story out there to more people! I’ve followed him for years and I learned a lot more about him, but happy to see him recognized for the amazing work he does!
Excellent video! My one and only complaint? It’s waaaaay too short. We love watching Hank in any element, so thank you Yeti for showcasing Hank’s awesomeness. ❤️
Love you, Pecos Hank!!! Besides being a topnotch storm chaser, you're a humorist, teacher, animal lover, videographer, musician, composer, artist, highway driver and all-around Renaissance man! Just wondering why you stay in motels when so many fans would pay to give YOU food and lodging. Oh yeah....we'd keep you up all night talking and you'd never get back on the road! Be safe out there!!!
Absolutely love Pecos Hank. Every time I see a video from him, it’s like Christmas. I’ve been watching Hank for years and I don’t intend to stop anytime soon. Stay safe and alive. Godspeed.

Hank might be the best storm cinematographer I’ve ever seen. He never fails to capture the true beauty of our weather.
Reed Timmer might get more tornadoes, but NOBODY captures their beauty like Pecos Hank!!!
and he doesn't scream at the top of his lungs

Tornadoes are the greatest show on Earth and Hank is the best at showing us that spectacle. His videos changed my life.

The conversation between Hank and his wife! The contrast, he chases tornadoes and she's scared of a wasp. Their dynamic is truly wholesome.
