How would the Mother-In-Law like if someone else did terrible things to her? Talk about a notorious living nightmare she is! Looks like the grandmother needs is psychiatric treatment immediately. Now how difficult is this?
Personally I think she mad the right call. If the ex couldn't recognize his past through his 1st kid, any other child they had could've endured worse 😅
The GrandMomster is DISGUSTING! OP's ex-husband is bad! Yes, he was abused himself and somehow forgot about the abuse, but that doesn't give him the excuse to defend his toxic mom's actions towards his family! Who the HELL abuses their children and grandchildren at a young age for WHATEVER BS inexcusable "Reasons"!? And WHAT for!? Power, control, to feel good about themselves, all of the above?! They don't deserve the title of grandparents or family if that's how they treat their family members, young or old! And ANY family members that defends the abusers are NO BETTER than the abusers!
James is a damaged man. He refused to protect his son from an abusive grandmother despite overwhelming evidence that's what was happening. In fact, he gaslighted his wife for doing her duty as a paediatric nurse and keeping her son away from his abuser until an investigation was completed. He called her obsessive, unstable, incapable, overreacting to his injuries. Her concern for her son's safety was justified because, on average, 1 child a week is killed through abuse, neglect, or reckless endangerment .(source:The NSPCC). Most likely offenders are immediate family or step -family, or family friends.
She did right by her son but not by her husband. He had been conditioned from birth to 12 years that's it was normal. He then blocked it because it was too painful to remember. She did not even try and stand by her man in sickness, as she vowed. Doesn't say much about her as a wife. Lets hope she never goes thru anything that scares her deep in her soul.
Tommy's father. Was just as much a victim to his mother as Tommy was. Tommy's mother should give his father another chance, but in time, when that time is, I don't know. Forgive me for being cliche, but time heals all wounds, but only if the individual wants it and has the right circumstances.
Why would anyone dress a 4 year old boy in expensive clothes when they're growing so fast and get so dirty when they're playing? I raised 4 boys so I know what I'm talking about.
Is there one of these videos that ISNT about rich MIL / Stepmom gaslighting the son’s wife/ stepchild while the husband defends mommy and turns a blind eye and then resolution is mommie dearest in prison for high financial crimes? More predictable and formulaic than Hallmark Christmas Movies
OP, the answer to your question in the end: the 2nd Option is the better one to be honest. Because he not only failed as a husband and father, he also failed himself too, for not knowing the difference between what is genuine or fake and the difference between what is love and abuse. So OP you did the right thing by choosing the second option and we fully support you on this 🩵🩵❤️❤️🥹🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻

So she went to jail for theft but not child abuse 15 years prior? Gotta love the justice system
If he fell down the stairs she should have taken him to see a doctor.
That's true

Why isn't Patricia in jail for child abuse?
Terrible mother in law/Grandma
Absolutely 💯 %
James, Emily divorced you, gained permanent custody of Tommy, and severed all connections with both you and Patricia.
What a toxic grandma
Yeah

Who are the Wilsons? Are we keeping up with the Joneses?
The grandmother shouldn’t abuse the grandson

You might be somewhat rich woman, but that doesn't give you the right to criticise anyone else. Stop being a snob.
