for me, sly is what it looks like to persevere.....in any and all waters. his "watch me" attitude is inspiring. the fact that his mind and senses are still intact after allllll the knocking around he's done, is off the charts in itself!!!
Over the top is one of my favorite movies I'm a truck driver and I was born in April 1974 so smokey and the bandit series convoy and Over the top all played a part in me picking my career job 😊
I really love the way this was all pieced together. Been awhile since I watched a long UA-cam doc that was an hour plus and stayed through from start to finish. Obviously doesn't hurt that it's Sly himself☕
For me , the man's amazing. He's turned his life around so many times , professionally and personally. He's anything but dumb . He's self educated in the best of ways ,trial and error. Strong character. Most people with his childhood wouldn't survive past puberty. He's not a superhuman. Must have made a bunch of regrettable decisions and suffered the consequences but he's still around .....and although I'm just someone who's watched some of his films and don't know him personally , I think he deserves the respect and admiration he gets from the industry and his fan base.
Sly and clint are legendary. Ive watched rambo first blood more then any other films. Years before last blood was made i wanted to meet sly and pitch my ideas for last blood which i titled rambo, returned my blood. Returning to seeing his dyeing father at the rambo farm starting with him walking with his green army bag on a track with family farm ahead . His farther tells him of a child was born with the girl he thought died on the boat in rambo 2. His father dies in his arms , and in his fathers hand was a picture of his son and location sent by rambo 2 girl . Rambo gears up and saves son and mum, killing bad guys brings them back to his farm
Although I've always liked Stallone, until this video I never appreciated just how talented he is. Thanks. Ps Keitel as in beetle rather than Keitel as in Keitel?! 🤨
How could a kid be expelled from so many schools?? I suppose it wasnt so much what he did, but rather what he didnt do schoolwork wise. His mother Jackie interestingly became a kind of star herself also after Rocky.
One of his weaker films was Staying Alive which he also wrote and directed (he has a brief cameo). I liked the part about the stage musical about the Devil, but alas the story isnt as good as the first movie. Frank Stallone-Sly's brother-also has a small part in the movie.
Why does every "journalist" keep stating that Stallone is an Oscar-winner. Both credible and UN-credible sources have said it. Rocky won 3 Academy Awards, and he's been nominated 3 times, but get your facts straight.
I absolutely love Sly, so thank you for this. But the pronunciation of Harvey Keitel's name... (55'37'') That was chilling, guys. I suggest a little research to get it right.
yes sly had a rough life. but he did the best he could do .with we use i inser spirit to mahe . s. it is what you deal with your life challenges. dysfunction seems. challenges. thanks for sharing the facts about i saw the poster for the itallion stallion. he had sex and smoke a sigarete. if he was naked he was not afraid. i guess your listed disabilities by trans forming disabilities. slz went from rags to riches.
"I made a better film than Stallone. Commando doesn't go in for all this flag waving bullshit as First Blood does,"Arnold Schwarzenegger (back in 1984)
Pulling babies out by their head continued until the 80's... kids born up until then would sometimes have telltale scars near their eyes, where the forceps had grabbed them. I remember asking my mom about the scar as a kid.
Look up my photo right there. That's around 5% he wasn't even close to that in body fat. Sly saying he was 2% there is no way. That's organ failure he was ripped but he was not shredded.

Looking at the cast then and now makes me feel so nostalgic. It's like revisiting a part of my childhood.
I guess you had a happy childhood, then.
Very good man.excellent documentary..very nice

hands down one of the hardest working actors which you do not see often nowadays, well done sly in such a brutal profession

We all have the potential to be far greater than what we are, with no script and no lines to learn, just one conscience.
Stop picking on Rocky V. It's not as bad as it's made out to be.
I too, got the forceps treatment as a breach baby
My poor ma almost died
All the best Sly
I really loved Copland. I thought he was on top of his game in that movie.

🐐
👍👍👍🎥
Commando has alot of humour, tongue in cheek scenes, whereas First Blood is a very serious, dark, humorless film.
Your not wrong. Jennifer definitely knew the price of true love... About 400 million dollars 🎉

How could anybody ever think he wasn't good looking
No, not classically handsome, but so distinctive that he’s attractive.

I think there was about three explosions in Rambo first blood. If that
Harvey "KEE-TAL"?
Nighthawks
How is it there are so many grammatical mistakes on this channel ?
I'd be apt to name Tom Cruise as the father of blockbusters.
"I made a better film than Stallone. Commando doesn't go in for all this flag waving bullshit as First Blood does,"Arnold Schwarzenegger (back in 1984)
Talks like a punk that’s his trouble Got Lucky in the End Lucky Bugger
Pulling babies out by their head continued until the 80's... kids born up until then would sometimes have telltale scars near their eyes, where the forceps had grabbed them. I remember asking my mom about the scar as a kid.
My mom and dad very bad to me
He didn’t win an Oscar
You are correct
Nominated x3
Yep another error.
Terrible AI writing
Why did you add the sentence "it was anti-christ"?.. it was not I can't watch your crap anymore you lied too much
