That's what is so great about 2 smokers 125,250,or 500 they all scream to a point .. you have to have big displacement on a four stroke to get that power curve of a 2 stroke ..love it guys wish I had money I would own and tinker with these every day ..
Jr panning down to his dirt covered shoes lol! Love it. I had a feeling once that Green 125 was out matter of time before Sr got a Honda to send for us
I had that exact bike back in ‘88. I remember the power band used to hit hard for a 125. I had just graduated high school and I was extremely stoked, ripping that thing around.
I wasn't old enough to have 1 of these in the 80s but I did have the 60cc and 80 cc of this model... for racing and then my dad painted the frames white... looked so good still remains a great memory
I’m 42 years old and in 1993 I had an 86 CR 125 that I kept for three years. Bought it for 900 bucks sold for 1400 bucks. You had to keep an 8 mm with you because it vibrated so hard core. Took it to the dunes with the paddle in July 1994. Thing ran for six hours and didn’t lose coolant. 100% one of my top three bikes I’ve ever owned. Hearing that video intro I can almost smell my race gas again!! Appreciate the video
Now that was an intro!!!! SR gettin after it! I love it!!......Still to much snow in western maine. Had my bike out yesterday, it was beautiful out at 50°. Took my bike for a rip down the road a few times. Can't wait to get back to working on my track, mud season needs to hurry up and get over with.
Awesome. I traded a 86 Cr250 that was a bit beat for a 91 125. Ioved the 125 cause you could extract all the power the machine had, at almost all the times.
The advancement in motocross bikes from the mid 70's to the late 80's was almost unbelievable. A well maintained 85, 86, 87 can still be competitive at the weekend hobby racer level.
fuck yea this is awesome!! just picked up a 84 cr125 and fixing it up to race local desert racing series in SoCal. This channel is incredible!!! On my bucket list to come and see the museum some day.
That was great riding Sr. Awesome bike, would love a 125 2 stroke for some light weight ripping fun, they scream and sound so cool. Someone is going to get a real beauty right there👍
I always wondered if a 125 would be enough, especially on hill climbs. I go between 190-200 lbs., and you said a pro rider back in the day was 220, so guess that answers my question. I like an '87, first year for disc brakes out back!
That bad boy barks! Reminds me of how Danny “ Magoo “ Chandler use to ride. He had a Suzuki TM 400 Cyclone in early days. Don’t see many now days. Had a very aggressive ignition curve and hit rather suddenly.
My buddy has one ,hes had it prob 10nyears or more use to be his regular rider , it was totally roach when he got it , it was kinda awork in progress when he was riding, its parked now . One of the last repairs we did on it was that side case cover and water pump repair , it will also stop up radiators when it rots out .we got lucky and found a original pull of part on ebay in like new condition. His isnt quite as clean as that one ,it could prob use a top end ,but he had contemplated trying find 89 jug and do the eric gore 144 ,bu couldnt source a rebuildable jug , his steely 87 jug is already max bore and the power valve scroll is tried . It still rips but has some piston slap from that loose cylinder .
Love the old 2 smokes been a while since I could ride but the last 1 I had was the 94 McGrath CR250 awesome bit of kit that scared the life out of everybody who tried to ride it 😂 I loved it as was riding lazy but it had so much power just lifts over and pulls you out of anything with just a blip of throttle. This 87 CR 125 is clean as hell unbelievable you really can’t find them like this no more unfortunately 🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful bike! I remember when they came out you couldn’t get one. I tried every dealership in Jersey, NY and Pennsylvania……. I gave up trying and got the 87 KX. That may have been Honda’s best production 125 Ever!
Just rebuilt the 87 cr 125 is an awesome little motorcycle will go well with 96 250 and 85 500 my old race bike love your videos by the way always ride red DH.
Honda Elsinore, still Elsinore’n and firin on every cylinder 💯 Still strong little engine! I can smell the 2 stroke oil and I start gettin wood......👊🏻🤣💯
Snr you an absolute animal, that bike was one that got away for me or a 250, you should be uber proud of yourself, another great video and content, the smell of 2strokes and coffee in a morning as you say is heaven on earth, hope to get my 94 greg albertyn rm out this year, Rather than just admiring it in my house😂. Keep up the good work.
Had an 86 CR125 years ago, as long as the ATAC system was all there and works, it was pretty nasty. Had the top end re-done, but the person who worked on it didn't pay attention and snapped the lobe off that little actuator taking the jug off, one part you'll never find, sold it shortly after.
I rode a pretty well used 2000 . I was really impressed how well it handled and pretty even power band. I have vintage bikes and prefer the WRs . I still have my 125 Rickman Zundapp six day and a 175 82 IT . I went through a divorce and had to sell some of my bikes and sold a 2006 KTM 200 XCW and kept my IT . The 200 was a bit more than I could handle and a great tough bike but not an all day rider. That 150 cc KTM is interesting . That Honda seems like you could have fun all day long. 😎
Those 125's had incredible power for the size. This was the first "real" dirtbike I ever learned to ride when I was a teen, and it scared the sh*t out of me lol. I don't think I expected that much instant power, I had only ridden 4 stroke 250's until then. I think the only only other 2 stroke I had was an RD350, and that was a handful as well, but not in the way this was. You have to ride one to know, I guess, it's hard to communicate the feeling. Weighing about a buck 10 at the time probably helped a lot ^^
The 80's and 125's were the best! They were screamers! Most fun on two wheels you can have.
Holy smoke. You are ripping it king Kaplan. Best regards from Sweden.
Another epic ride for my "senior is on the pipe" playlist.
Thanks Ron. Love you brother!
You don’t skip a beat sir…!!!! We all love watching you up here in Canada.
Chief that was one of your best intros on your videos ever! Hands down hauling the mail...👍
Ridin' a 125 the way it's supposed to be ridden, Sr! But you're 'that guy' in the pits who's always in need of more 'clutch' 😂👍👍
More cow bell! LOL 😆
Whats a clutch?! lol
Evertime i watch your video it takes me back to my youth with these bikes. And the sound!!!!is amazing. ✌️
Man you were really ripping on that thing. Got my blood running. Very Impressive . Thanks guys
That's what is so great about 2 smokers 125,250,or 500 they all scream to a point .. you have to have big displacement on a four stroke to get that power curve of a 2 stroke ..love it guys wish I had money I would own and tinker with these every day ..
love seeing SR smashing the 125's rock and roll brother!! you guys have the best bikes awesome to see. much love from Australia!!
"If you rode a 500 like I just rode this, you'd be dead!" You just killing me!! The world shrinks a little every time you ride a big bore!!
😂👍
Same RPM...lol yeah.
One of the best 80's 125's made imo..
The last of the blue seat models from the 80's.
I LOVE IT !!
Jr panning down to his dirt covered shoes lol! Love it. I had a feeling once that Green 125 was out matter of time before Sr got a Honda to send for us

It's a ripper.... Really like your motorcross track. You invented urban motocross.
125 are so much fun!! I had a blast today too but on my Rm, riding in snow, mud & water was way too fun...and then was cleaning time lol
I remember these back in the day, absolute powerhouse!
SR riding it like he stole it. Hell yeah what a ripper. Awesome bike love these old CR,s. Mid 80s and up. 87,s are awesome bike's. 🤘🤘
I remember the bike at 16 years old riding that psycho machine crazy power and the front wheel was never on the ground.those were the days
I’m 42 years old and in 1993 I had an 86 CR 125 that I kept for three years. Bought it for 900 bucks sold for 1400 bucks. You had to keep an 8 mm with you because it vibrated so hard core. I miss my 88' 125 ...the happiest motor ever running wide open
shock boots in nice shape to no rips or pushed in anywhere what a gem 👌
These bikes are awesome, just took my 88 for a rip today...Wow! Great riding by the way sir.
0:17- 0:22 the most epic senior on the pipe moment so far.
Does he even uses a clutch??
@@Frank-Euro prolly yes :D
@@Frank-Euro its still 125 ccm
Nothing better then the sound of 40 125s at Red Bud during the holeshot back in the day
Mickey Dymond won the title those years. 86 & 87..... I can see why, those bikes are badass.
🤙

Had this exact bike as a teenager, that sound is perfection I can smell the exhaust and it's magic.
fuck yea this is awesome!! just picked up a 84 cr125 and fixing it up to race local desert racing series in SoCal. This channel is incredible!!! On my bucket list to come and see the museum some day.
My first bike was an 84! Miss that thing....enjoy!
The CR125 in those years were a romp stomping machine. They sound awesome on the pipe.
Let her sing !! Your 125 thrashings are epic.
Don't forget the GREAT stock forks those bikes came with. One of the best 125's ever!
That was great riding Sr. Awesome bike, would love a 125 2 stroke for some light weight ripping fun, they scream and sound so cool. Someone is going to get a real beauty right there👍
Awesome year for the red bikes! Sr making her sing!

Thanks for sending the screaming Eagle. You made my day and I bet I'm not the only one.
Fearless! Riding that 125 like a BMX- You can tell someone is normally at ease riding a cr500- send it Sr never in in doubt 😁
Lamb chops and a 2 stroke singing.....this is amazing!!!
Forget about the bike….SENIOR IS THE RIIPPPAAAA!!!!
So much energy, makes me to wake up my neighbors with the braaaapiiing.
Videos I love!! Seeing Jr tear it up!!!! Hell Ya!!!!!!🇺🇸
Bout time you guys got an 87 CR 125 on there. I have one, best bike I've ever had
I'd be hanging out with yall everyday trying to get a job if I lived closer lol love what yall do
Giving the people what they want. Hell ya brotha!
That bad boy barks! Reminds me of how Danny “ Magoo “ Chandler use to ride.

I MUST SAY , KAP YOUR 1 HELL OF A RIDER BROTHER. 👍
My buddy has one ,hes had it prob 10nyears or more use to be his regular rider , it was totally roach when he got it , it was kinda awork in progress when he was riding, its parked now . Ken you make me feel like I wish I lived right down the road! Too much eye candy! And the same passion for 2 strokes!
I had that bike raced Nesc that year it was the first year of the 125 youth class my number was 409. Great memories
I had one of these when I was 18 used to take it up the local woods and let it rip 39 now and still riding a 2 smoker
Yes!! Old man proper ripping that smoker
It may just be me. But the mid to late 80s 2 strokes ripped me a new ass and many others I witnessed. Looking great Sr. Much love from Western NY
Sick bike! 👍 Love the 87 and it's power band.. you getting a handful of throttle is so nice to see! 😁 BRAAAAPP!!! Thanks for the awesome content! 👍
Great video! I really enjoyed watching Sr ride.
Yes get it
I really liked how the 84-87 looked. Ohhhh the sick memories

I don't know if I have ever seen anyone have that much fun on a bike, bad ass!
My favorite bike ever is a cr125r!!!❤❤❤
I had an 87 CR250. It was my all time favorite bike hands down! I should've kept it.
You were rippin! Bike looks great, sounds great 🤘
Pro circuit exhaust or is that fmf,the reason I’m asking because it sounds real crisp
I swear the this guy will still be riding like this well into his 80's!
I'll be 60 in 36 months thats the plan!
Oh man I burst out laughing " gotta clear your nostrils before you ride , proper oxygenation" that was awesome, loved the RIP!! Full on, love it!
Hell Yeah kap you had me on the edge of my seat on that ride brother
God bless America 🇺🇲
Just sold my 86 cr125 to a wounderful gentlemen. Hoping to get an 87. Or even a newer one from around the 90d
Man that's music,,boyessen reed symphony deluxe,,,conducted by the Kap
I had one! They had a ridiculous power band! Power to weight ratio was insane! I miss my bike
Honda Elsinore, still Elsinore’n and firin on every cylinder 💯 Still strong little engine! I can smell the 2 stroke oil and I start gettin wood......👊🏻🤣💯
That thing and senior is one angry duo!

"Gotta clear your nose before you ride for better oxygenation."
My new favorite quote
It's the Cornerstone of any good dirt bike ride. 🤙
My favorite Elsinore of all time. Last of the blue seat CR's
Sr wore out that motor, he killed it.
some wicked rippin' right there !! bad ass guys
can we see some 89-92 rm’s? that would be awesome
2 stroke s 4 ever HONDA CR IS THE TOP
I rode a pretty well used 2000 . I was really impressed how well it handled and pretty even power band. I have vintage bikes and prefer the WRs . No better way to start a friday then an ol ripper shredding and echoing through the woods!!
Back from Daytona with a vengeance!!!

I little supermoto action there! That's a cherry '87. They can be setup as plush trailbikes that haul ass.
Gotta say… the thumbnail photo for this vid is a killer pic!
Sounds awesome !!!
2 stroke 4 ever !!!
Absolutely amazing! Love that bike!
I've had all 4 honda cr dirtbikes from 80cc to the 500cc.they were all rockets ships..
That's the life right there. Mint vintage bikes AND getting to ride them too! And I do mean RIDE!
bounce pull it to your center noow flip or second bounce is better
Exactly the one I need number plates for mine even aftermarket white hard to come by like seeing that bike rolling and surviving bad ass D.h
Dream bike right there! I thought the OEM seat covers said CR on the side and Honda across the back...
Nothing compares to these old bike no restrictions like some modern one the restriction is your wrist twisting the throttle
Gotta clear your nostrils... lmao, Sr. Is crazy as hell... glad to see you back in the upper northeast Kenny
Any of the cr's from the 80's were awesome 👌. Love it!
