thanks for posting, great memories, Pekka so stylish, always on one wheel and standing on posture. Geboers won the title may he and his dog rest in peace.
It was this year I won rider of the year and best up and coming rider on a 1987 Kawasaki KX125. How fast time flys, the best years of my life, now I’m old and looking back on what I did and my heart aches. God how I miss it, the friends, banter, fun, the weekend meets, the smell of the octane plus, the sounds, excitement and the girls. Wow
i was actually there, was 15 y.o at the time, 1st time at hawkestone 4 me it was, my mum taped it for me on t.v, can remember watching the tape loads of times, trying to find me and my dad but never did see us, doh!! a big thank you to STAFFIHOUND for putting it on here........
I think I was there. Can't be too sure, 2 strokes( Not the good Brrraaaappp! type,The brain injury kind!) have done for a lot of the 80's for me. :( Still at least I've forgotten Spandu Ballet. ;D
So strange too they were actually faster than the hondas stock for stock and I think they had wp suspension too ? But the u.s. mags aways dogged the ktms and cagivas and everybody here rode Japanese.
@@joenobody2580 almost, but not really, Mike Healey rode Cagiva in the supercross and yes, they had all WP susp. Takasago rims and it was a dope of a engine. I had it 1986

The 87 CR and KX were very cool bikes. Both were one offs.

Didn't they make watercooled 500 2 stroke?

What happened with cagiva on the mx stage?
The became the previous incarnation of Husqvarna...then faded away after KTM bought Husky.
So strange too they were actually faster than the hondas stock for stock and I think they had wp suspension too ? But the u.s. mags aways dogged the ktms and cagivas and everybody here rode Japanese.
cagiva bought Husqvarna Ducati and MV but didn't manage that very well and went bankrupt. Now they only own MV
