The first person's writing style reminded me a lot of Sütterlin, which is an older style of German handwriting. Closed letters in Sütterlin are typically left open and a loop is made at the top to create a stem downwards. I know this is very late and probably no one will read it, but I thought I'd post it anyway lol :)
I agree about the added breaks and loops they were doing w/ their A’s and D’s... it lowers the legibility because in some instances those make them look like other letters (ex. makes D look a lot like an O and an L together)

However, you have turned me into a fountain pen purchasing maniac, and I love fine lines as well. I’m waiting on my platinum 3776 laurel green with their UEF nib to arrive. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve lol. This will be my last one for a bit, I think 🤔 😂
