46th Anniversary Meet | Illinois Live Steamers | Part I | Live Steam

The Illinois Live Steamers celebrated their 56th Anniversary Meet the weekend of August 18th, 19th, and 20th. The event brought together live steam and large-scale railroading enthusiasts from several states to the private live steam club located southwest of Chicago. Our camera was rolling during the event and we captured the action for your enjoyment here on The Steam Channel. Enjoy part I from the meet in beautiful 4K.

Out of curiosity, about how much do one these steam locos and tender weigh?

It all depends on the locomotive type. An ALCO northern could weigh 2,200 pounds and a smaller 2-6-0 may weigh in around 500-600.
