It should be noted, this is largely how HK's (and other manufacturers') AR-18 derivatives like the XM8, G36, HK416, and (probably) HK433 families work, but NOT how the MP7 works, even though it's also short-stroke gas-piston operated with a rotating bolt. The MP7's operation more closely resembles the FN SCAR family's.
